Gold Mining, New Gold Vein Discovered!

  • We have uncovered a new gold vein on our property! This video shows us drilling and blasting the first round to uncover what the new gold vein looks like and then taking a sample of the quartz to crush and mill through our gold mining plant to recover the gold and silver. This was an exciting time and we are starting a new gold mine. The sample turned out to have some pretty good gold and we show the process for melting and refining the gold so we can weigh it and get a good idea of how many ounces of gold per ton of ore we can expect in the future.

I've been watching gold videos for years and this is the first time I've seen someone walk up to a mountain, identify and discuss a potential seam of gold bearing ore, drill, (blast), muck, crush the ore, separate, pan, melt and produce a chunk of gold.. .from start to finish! It was great to see the entire process. Thanks! Can't wait to see more.

To get the gold wrapped in the shop towel drier without tearing it surround it with the dry part of the shop towel moving it to another dry area regularly and gently squeezing. The dry towel sucks nearly all the moisture out of the little dollop of gold. I find it ironic that after all the blasting, and crushers, conveyors, separators, and other mechanical equipment it still comes down to the same technology uses for hundreds of years - a pan. This was really cool except for the part so many want to see - blasting solid rock to tiny bits. It was still a cool video.

The romans discovered that they could drill-chisel deep holes into large boulders and rock faces, leave them to fill with water and freeze over winter. By spring the water freeze and expansion would cause cracks n fractures along entire rock faces theyd bored into. I dont know if thatd be any good to do across exposed veins on your claim if youre drilling to blast anyway at some point? But blowing things up is too much fun to spoil lol. Is that a epithermal quartz deposit along a fault with a secondary deposit i assume taken place after maybe an earthquake has shifted the original fault? I wonder if the golds displacing copper in the sulfides as the mineral rich fluids pass through the quartz deposition.
Thats a nice button btw good result!

I worked in a silver, lead, zinc mine, our stopes were massive approximately 100 meters in height,we had seams of quartz everywhere that carried fool's gold, sometimes copper and alluvial gold, gold was too minute to see and was only identified after milling process, seams of quartz ran through the silver lead zinc ore body, apparently it is all volcanic rock that the ore is found in, apparently our mine produced the purest form of silver in Australia or maybe the world ever mined called "Super Gene" at 96% or 99.6% pure silver (not sure which one it was),our ore body was a vertical ore body and the super gene sat on top of ore body like snow caps on the Swiss Alps,it looked like steel wool

Ore body was over a kilometer in height when I last worked there but the heat at that depth is too intense and is going to prevent mine going any deeper even with the assistance of ventilation

Looks like the Lone Jack mine area. Pretty cool to see gold getting taken out of our local area!

This is so cool. Been looking for a good representation on how those drills work to start a face. That is just so cool. I have a big mineralized face that i believe to be virgin, but all the mineral has leached out.

great video. i enjoyed watching the whole process from vein ore (?) to final gold button. pretty cool. this video puts in perspective what it takes to get gold; not just some old timer finding huge nuggets in the river (which is just as good if not better heheh) but i like how you show the tens of thousands of dollars worth equipment you need just to make that little button. now i realize there's no such thing as little gold but still cool.
