- Today we are reacting to a very special band in the rock world, we’re reacting to Heart performing “Barracuda” live in 1977. This song is a childhood song to us due to the fact we used to play guitar hero back in the day. So we’re tapping into our childhood roots with this one. This will be fun!

this is the studio version played over a live performance, they were not lip-syncing when the footage was shot. i saw them live twice, it's all real.
That is what I was going to say, it's not really lip synched but they did play the studio version over a live performance. I have seen them live as well and they are excellent live.
a tip: watch movies on KaldroStream. I've been using it for watching loads of movies recently.

Check them out paying tribute to Led Zeppelin singing Stairway to Heaven live in front of them at The Kennedy Center Honors a couple years ago. A good 30 plus years after this was released. I can't think of any other group that could have paid a better hommage to LZ. It's cool thatthe drummer that is playing with them is the Jason Bonham, the son of John Bonham, the late great drummer from Zed Zeppelin.
They were not lip-syncing back then.

I have seen Heart play live, including this song. This is the studio version. The live version is kick ass as well and Ann hits the high notes, but it's definitely not as polished as the studio version. The live version I heard was better in my opinion because it was more raw and she does belt it out. Ann Wilson was 27 when this video came out.

Live performances for this group cuz I'm a ❤ fan, Crazy on You and Led Zeppelin's Kennedy Center Honors is a masterpiece. The latter, son Jason Bonham of LZ is on drums, his dad's. It's quite a performance you should react to both. 😁👍👊

There's lots of real live footage of Heart out there and they are not just a studio phenomenon - they are a great live band. The grand-daddy of them all is their performance of Led Zeppelin's Stairway to Heaven at the Kennedy Center Honors - over 30 years (while they were 50-ish in age) after the video of Barracuda you reviewed (while they were 20-ish in age). It's so amazing, I guarantee when you review it, you will hate your-selves for not having done it immediately! The Obamas are in the crowd - everyone who is anyone is in the crowd. With the help of other great musicians, they do the best live version of the song since Led Zeppelin performed it themselves! Not only does John Bonham's (deceased Led Zeppelin drummer) son pull off a heroic performance on the drums for Heart, he does it while wearing his dad's hat and using his dad's drum kit that was used on Led Zeppelin tours in the 1970s. Finally, the remaining 3 out of the 4 members of Led Zeppelin (while they were 60-ish in age) are seen reacting to Heart's performance from the balcony - it's just spectacular! Sorry for the long comment, but this one is so amazing - to get maximum effect - you have to know the proper context to fully understand the emotional impact of it on everyone involved and to feel it your-selves.

This video was a live performance where they took the live sound out and replaced it with the studio version..
@G.I. Bro Yep and i have seen it done very well.. With a bit of cutting here and there to get things into sinc you can really make it look perfect.. I have seen it done.. But this one was not don't well.. You can clearly see the live version was slightly different to the Studio version.. That happens a lot in live versions..

Get there live 2002 concert it's amazing you can see that they're just as good live if not better than their other stuff that was just a dumb thing how they did that but it was definitely not live
