I just want you to know that you've done a wonderful job. No cringe required. LOL Fun to interpret your work as you go. At first I saw an embryonic bird with a large beak, like a toucan about to hatch. Then all of a sudden, there was a tiny fox wrapped in blankets. You yammer on sir, so much fun to listen to. Have a great week!
Lol you yapped a lot about projection haha. It was funny. What stands out to me is because the graphitint is lighter, less saturated, it looks further away. So if the picture with the ink was half of a massive space station or something, and the graphite side was the other half, it's clear just how big the thing is because the graphite side looks miles further back. Very interesting
I learned something from this video and that is that I like watercolor and graphtint more than I like ink. I have been vaguely aware of that preference but this video helped to clarify it for me in a more conscious way. To be each their own.
Love the contrast between the two media. I find the graphitint gives a vintage look to paintings. I did some holiday/winter cards and I used the graphitint, it was the perfect medium for my cards. Now I'll have to try the Sumikundo inks and explore. Thank you for the interesting video like always!
I'm glad you enjoyed this. I agree. when I think about the graphitint pieces I've done in the past they look like they could've been a 1970's illustration. I never noticed that before. 😂
I totally love the contrast between the left and right. It’s very amazing. Maybe paint a single picture using both, not side by side, but with the two together. I would be very interested in seeing that. You are an amazing artist and I enjoy your videos and look so forward to Mondays. Such a totally wonderful painting, I LOVE IT.
13:10 - Mind games are real, now I don't know what I am thinking anymore 😂. That was an interesting drawing - I guess the fact that the right side is more light and washed away makes you add the lines slightly different in order to balance the contrast between them and try to bring some equilibrium between them!?
I had the Boko Undo and I just received their newer Sumikundo after watching your video. I was jealous, I wanted the red & the lighter blue (mostly the red). 😅 I'm using both sets for any color I decide to add in Inktober prompts. It's all ink. I have the Graphitint pencils , I enjoy them immensely mixing and matching with other mediums. Interesting exercise to try out.
Try and look at it like different tools for different jobs. High contrast and multi layering, then use the ink. Softer warmer feel, then use the graphite. I do not know how you feel but after a while of using one, I enjoy switching over to the other one. It sparks creativity for me when I switch up my mediums. 👍🏻
To me the right side looks as if you took the left side's colors and placed a sheet of glassine over it. Both sides look good. Something funny - at least in my eyes: I let YT show the videos from channels I'm subscribed to as a grid. One is of a political info channel and their picture shows a typical gesture of #45 and two videos later it shows your picture and the gesture looks familiar 🙂 Luckily you look better and don't have "those goons" (lawyers) in the background 🤣
I enjoy all those and it depends on what look I’m after.
Me too! 👍🏻

Thank you Linda! I appreciate you. 🙂 I like how your mind works.

I can ramble about rambling. 😂 That's an interesting point. They might work well together for a landscape. 👍🏻

I'm glad I could help with that realization. Everyone enjoys their own way. The most important part is that you enjoy what you do. 🙂

Thank you! That's a good idea. I might use the two with some watercolor and see if you can tell with everything together. Thanks for the idea! 🙂
@@IllustrationsByPete Oh yea, with watercolor too! That would be Awesome. 👏
@denisebiely5998 I'll work on that soon. 👍🏻
Like the brightness of the ink paints very much.
They do stand out. 👍🏻
Yes especially this orange. Oh gosh it’s so pretty 🤩
@IamMaiLan Yes! That's my favorite color in the set. I know I usually don't have favorites but it plays so nicely off the other colors. 👍🏻

That's exactly what happened. 👍🏻

I'm glad you're enjoying them. Painting with both is inspiring in different ways. 👍🏻
You did a good job haha
Thank you! 😂
Peter👏👏👏👍✌️
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed this. 👍🏻
Good idea putting them side by side. I just worry I will prefer one over the other and not use the less liked one anymore.

@@IllustrationsByPete Thanks

😂 Maybe it's all a conspiracy....or maybe it's something more. 😜
