BishopX As a gief player myself. I find myself looking for a new character well at least a very strong secondary. The grey life nerf made his V skill kinda useless. Don't know why Capcom didn't put that into consideration. They should of left grey life as it was.
That hurt to watch at 12:10. You could tell that a HP Lariat wasn't enough to kill but he'd already commited to the running bear grab. All for a sliver of meter that cost him the match

He beat Stupendous with his Akuma. To say he isn't a good Akuma player is to completely ignore how strong of a player Stupendous is. Also, Gief seems to be settling into the mid tiers in season 2, so the matchup isn't terrible.
