Daigo is playing less safe and way more fast and risky that make him more unpredictable, Akuma is unpredictable by default thanks to his tons of options that is why he have less health and low speed.
Daigo: I'm gonna turn up some more Narikun: Don't you do it. Daigo: I'm gonna do it!!!!! Narikun:Don't you do it. Daigo: I'm gonna do it.. Narikun: 😐😐😐😐😐
@ 12:08 Wasn't SFV supposed to end chip damage deaths? How come İbuki got KOed? Is it a special situation related to Denjin Hadouken (Denjin was unblockable @ SFIII) or what?
Ok guys, I might get a lot of hatred ok ? But there's no honor or pride in playing characters such as Ibuki, Balrog, Guile or Dhalsim. These characters allow players to spam things round in round out with the possiblity of linking any hit-confirm into the opponent's death basically ...
Um, I picked up SF5 2 days ago and picked Ibuki because she looked cool and liked the dashes. I chose the character despite seeing everywhere that she's a mid tier (minimal research), and that loads of people say only top tiers are viable. And now you want to tell me thats theirs no honor or pride in playing that character? Seriously am I only allowed to play Ryu or expect to get hate? You're going to send players away with comments like these.
Templar Animated These are just my thoughts. I'm only speaking what I feel like. I'm not including anyone in it. I feel like any character which can spam in and our something as fast and difficult to react to as dashes, teleports and anything which allows you to get in or out so quick is just too cheap considering how safe it is, plus, it easily leads to 50/50 situations - Akuma's life gauge only makes these characters even more dangerous. All I'm saying is I feel like countering those strategies requires MUCH more skill than actually performing them, which renders it all unbalanced to me, especially for lower level players like me. Take a second and imagine a Bronze Akuma or Ryu facing a Bronze Bison : all those aerial shenanigans, dashes which allow him to go through fireballs, almost endless attack streams ... That's just too much to cope with for lower level players like me really and I think THAT'S what could possibly make us feel like dropping the game. I'm not even mentioning Bison's V-Trigger or Ibuki's full stun gauge combo. ^^
This is actually something I've touched up on before. Bison was considered weak in S1 and wasn't viable competitively but when Capcom released the data around Evo in 2016, it showed Bison having the highest win rate overall online. The problem arises where you want to buff Bison but it creates a problem in casuals since he completely dominates all the leagues Gold and under, having maybe even as high as 70% win rate in Bronze-Silver level. The character was just poorly designed and can't be buffed or nerfed accordingly. A great example of this is Chun Li, with air legs she was "too strong" and without it now she's clearly too weak, this just equates to poor design in the play style.
Capcom should nerf Ibuki, to many options, to easy access and combos and to much damage. They schould buff Ryu, give him more options, so Ryu can play his natural fighting style.
ibuki's damage is actually one of the lowest, and she relies on v-trigger which has no application outside of combo (unlike balrog or urien). though i do think that her options with meter are too good, ex kunai is like +17 and without meterless dp's she's too hard to slow down.
that's also because of ex-kunai, a move thats so good you have to v-revesal it every time she uses it and that has so many + frames that even if you block it she can command dash the whole screen and still land a grab when you recover. I'm not arguing she doesn't have broken stuff, but at least she requires resources to do it. This is nothing compared to S1 chun li who would smother you from the first second and confirm every random hit into a knockdown.
I know very little about SF as I only recently started playing the game but I have been following alot of these channels with great content. But when I see Ibuki I just feel like her combos are so incredibly dirty (Not in the sentence of cheap but that they just completely destroy opponents once they get caught by the bomb) so I wonder, Is she a top-tier char?
welcome to the sf community! :D ibuki is probably somewhere mid tier (B+) in sfv. her mix ups can be devasting, but in saying that she relies heavily on vtrigger and limited kunais which limit her overall potential as a character. her combos are also less damaging than most, though her speed more than makes up for it. shes a solid character with great mixups - but comes plentiful with small set backs (which is manageable with more exp and skill). im sure she has a more set backs but thats it from the top of my head :)
She is not top tier. Needs a good amount of work, she works like urien (needs meter or v-trigger to do her best potential/ do big damage output) She is better if you use her as a backup character. Ibuki is not a beginner char but once you know her mixups/resets the opponent will be scared and make a mistake.
Akuma got comboed from one side of the screen to the other. Nariku took at least 90% of his health if you include the damage post stun. But there was a reset in the middle of the combo somewhere. Dont know if it was intentional. Maybe someone experienced wtih Ibuki could answer that. Pretty amazing taking it to consideration that Ibuki is one of the caracters that don't inflict alot of damage. My question to the community is: If Nariku's able to do that with one combo (+ reset), how come he could not finish his stunned opponent even though he only had like 10% health left ?
Yeah that's one of Ibuki's better V Trigger setups, the reset was intentional. Right as the first bomb hits, Ibuki timed her MP to hit Akuma out of the air and reset him, then linked straight into her f.MK overhead target combo to keep the sequence going. Narikun's combo after the stun was pretty much the best option, but I guess the combo scaled just enough to leave Tokido with a pixel of health. Had he reloaded one more kunai first, it would have killed lol.
Oh, haha. I wasn't asking a real question guise xD Just expressing my awe from the mix up. I know what's going on, no need for explanations xD Thanks though!
Big Daigo fan. Seeing him play like this is refreshing. Need an updated video of him vs Takido again.
Daigo - the best player that ever lived...
Nick McLaren YES *AND DONT U EVER FORGET IT*

I'm so happy i got to see these match... Narikun is really dangerous. but daigo oooh lord i'm not a ryu player but this guy makes ryu feel so alive.
Even matched players are always great to watch. Enjoyed the matches very much.
3:31 really like that mix up, even though it wasn't successful - the smoke making it more harder to read which side lol
That young thunder cat thought he could beat somebody with fundamentals older than they are, Daigo is the street fighter icon. Parry on now folks.
Dominik Wallace lmfao called the nikka a young thundercat..
Dominik Wallace lol..... Young Thundercatt lol
Daigo not randomly spending EX bar = Daigo winning again
I would cry if I ran into that ibuki online.

Daigo: I'm gonna turn up some more
Narikun: Don't you do it.
Daigo: I'm gonna do it!!!!!
Narikun:Don't you do it.

Daigo's fights are the best, and when he plays offensively...

The only reason I would hate you is that you left out Urien(and maybe Karin) on your list.
R4wrn3ess
Truth is I was about to put Karin too.

Genius they say they are going to buff Ryu

I would hate to play Daigo, he just picks players apart. He knows every Ryu move so well and executes them amazingly.
@12:07 Fuck magic pixel! Take this and *THIS*!
when ibuki reloads her shurikens does she get back the whole stack or just 1 at a time?
A Tem. one at a time
A Tem you can hold the button to reaload more than one or the whole stack
damn diago..why be so mean?...that shit was sick..awesome player
Dang I can't believe Nintendo let Capcom use sheik in SFV. She looks dope though.
NIneDJcali Lol this character is old enough to be Sheik's mother.
that ibuki remember me to Sako.
awesome
Is akuma cr.mk longer than ryus?
SK1ZZL3Z feels like it

Playing as ibuki always take a lot of effort due to low attack power....
12.03 hahaha he jus charged it wtfffff
Quis Me Desafiar Na Street Fighter logo eu Daigo Umehara
I never understood why these good Ibuki players never compete with her in tournaments.
Trust me, if capcom released this game at arcades, no one would beat the japaneses. Also its hard these days to get a visa/money to travel
holy fk at 6:00 !!!! what is goin on?!
