Heart. Most iconic female lead rock bands ever. Ann Wilson! Miley can’t touch the pink toe of the talent Ann Wilson has.
The two are not even in the same ballpark , Ann is a one of the most talented singers in music history.

Ann and Nancy Wilson are true American bad asses. Not to mention amazing voice and talent. They are iconic.
While they are American, they actually got their start in Vancouver. They formed the band in Vancouver and recorded the Dreamboat Annie album there. Played in clubs throughout the west coast of Canada. They took off in Canada first and that album was a No. 1 in Canada first. They are phenomenal and iconic!

Fast forward many years and watch Heart cover Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin (with Led Zeppelin present…and President Obama). 40-50 years later and she can still sing!!!

“Crazy On You” is one of their best. Ann has the best female rock voice out there, and her sis, Nancy, is probably the best female rock guitarist.

Heart were great fans of Led Zeppelin which you also featured. I would recommend watching the Kennedy Center Honors in which Heart performed in tribute to LZ and especially Bonzo (John Bonham, their drummer who died in 1980), all the chorus wore bowlers hats which he was famous for wearing.

Heart are rock royalty. This song was written about Heart's anger after the record label, as a publicity stunt, made up a story that Ann (singer) and Nancy (guitar player) Wilson (sisters), were having an affair with each other. When you say a lot has changed…youre damn right a lot has changed. No computers….artists actually playing instruments, writing their own songs, singing without auto tune etc…
This is actually a diss track to their manager/producer. The asshole wanted to spread false rumors about the sisters, saying they were in an incestual relationship to spread bad publicity. They basically said FUCK YOU with this song.

Not about their manager. It was people at their record label, Mushroom Records, who were spreading the rumour and the band only found out about it when a radio promoter asked about the relationship.

Well, youngblood--it's like this--back in the 70's music ed. was widely cheap and available...every grade/high school had a music department--you'd learn about drum theory, guitar/piano songwriting, vocal jazz training, etc. Nowadays it's too expensive, and it's been cut from 80% of schools. Also, no internet to promote themselves...u toured and played live on T.V, so it made your band tighter. The Hannah Montans ref u made, well, aint' no one gonna be listening to her 50 years from now. Heart( and most of the 70's bands keep bagging new fans every generation...(They were NO 1 hit wonder..they put down hits 4 about 20 years)

This is what I grew up listening to.....it was the best of times. Best bands and No Auto tune. You had to be able to sing and play...great times..She is still alive and well..That was Ann Wilson lead singer and her sister Nancy Wilson on guitar and vocals. They created "Heart" and they were not one hit wonders...Glad you enjoyed it!

I've been watching your reactions while listening to my girl Ann Wilson of my childhood favorite, Heart. Her sister Nancy is playing the guitar there.
I was about 13-14 when this song came out and have seen them about 15 times in my lifetime.
All the GREATS Rock n Roll bands of the 1960s-70s are going bye-bye. No one makes music like this anymore.

Actually, they wrote the song about some record company @-holes who spread ugly rumors about the sisters, thinking it would sell more records. The record company was put out of business, and 35+ years later, they are still touring and making records. Check out the 2012 Kennedy Center Honors where Ann and Nancy sang Stairway to Heaven to Led Zeppelin, who were in the Audience. Ann's voice has only gotten better.
Barracuda was released was released in 1977, and they are still kicking @ss.
She's the best! You should check out the live version of Crazy On You with Nancy's insane opening solo. Nobody belts it like Ann Wilson
Now I understand a cover or version on Barracuda with Nancy Wilson playing the guitar, and Pink singing that song. (And defending it well).

This heart is still touring. Remember they were popular when the very first Star Wars movie came out in the 70s. If you like female rock and roll singers you need to listen to Jefferson Airplane song white rabbit. It's kind of a take off on the Allison wonderland story it's a short song but grace slick can really belt it out

This was at a time when there were no women in rock ‘n’ roll, except for Janis Joplin and Grace slick maybe. It was so difficult for women back then there were more women in Motown back then, than in rock music.

One of the reasons why you don’t hear rock music like this anymore, it’s because it went out of fashion on the radio. Music genres come and go just like big band music is passé. It’s still excellent but it’s considered old. Unfortunately, this kind of rock music went out of style too. So we just have to be grateful that it was all recorded, and we can still continue to enjoy it on our own. 🤷♀️😄

I think maybe because the rock musicians from back in the day were more instrumental than things are now and I don’t mean to offend anybody by saying that. Today’s music is more gear towards hip-hop and wrap and other stuff.

NO! Heart is not a one Hit wonder. The singer and her sister--the female guitar player. Ann and Nancy made tons of albums, and had a string of hits from from '77 to '87, they are much respected in the industry. And have played with many of the greats. I would suggest reacting to , Magic Man by Heart
