    This brought back so many memories of working on your Father's old Mercedes. Ghost looks like a new truck; impressed with what a quick project this was; we worked on his 190SL for months getting the body perfect, replacing sections that had rust. Loved the area of the video where Lou had multiple Lou's helping him paint. You had a satisfying project, and we watched a super fun transformation. Love that you share the content each week; it makes me feel like I live next door.

    to prevent the goggles from fogging up, you spit on the inside of the eyepieces and smear it around. Divers do this for water also. They do sell a spray you can do the same thing with but most people go cheap by using spit.

    I love the way you always find alternatives to expensive/over the top things. It's very inspiring to see people not completely depending on services or companies to do everything - even though sometimes we need some help and that's okay too! BTW great Karate Kid moves while spraying, Lou! Hahaha Great weekend to you :)

    Oh man, this reminds me of when I began to paint my '68 Firebird. I got through body work and two types of primer, but was never able to paint it after someone stole all the equipment. ) : So I drove it with just primer 'till sold years later. It was a great car even without shiny paint. I still miss that car.

    • @WildWeRoam
      @WildWeRoam  2 роки тому +1

      Wow, what a story! So sorry that someone stole your equipment, that is horrible! Still sounds like you made the most out of the situation and enjoyed the car even with just the primer :) Must have been a gorgeous car either way!

    I am hoping that you prepped the surface. You didn’t have to be that aggressive. You now use water sand paper after washing it, especially where you lost your clear coat
    I supposed you liked that up. Then apply primer, wet sand by hand again. Then use green magic. More sanding. Wipe the vehicle down with mineral spirits. Iight coats of painting.

    Is it environmentally friendly to have all that old paint dust fly into nature like that?
    Your vegetable garden is right beside this.
    I actually thought it was illegal to do stuff like this in your driveway.
