Cutest cleverest little puppy girl! You're surfing ... and the garden is beginning to take off. Such a gentle inspiring life and to think a few months a go you were risking life and limb in a boat in the middle of a crazy ocean!! Never a dull moment with you guys. Your video stories are so wonderful!
I've been following your channel from back when you lived in Berlin and have always appreciated how you share whatever season of life you are in so genuinely! I love the way you capture and share life's simple moments, along with life's big adventures. I'm so happy for you both and love that you are cherishing this time as you settle into a new home, with your beautiful pup. Watching your videos always fills me with peace and gratitude as I can feel your joy and contentment, and how intentionally you take in the present moment. Lot's of love to your beautiful family of 3!
Breathtaking cover photo-Dana, puppy motherhood looks so good on you! I love the exponential joy I am seeing in your lives with your “wiggle worm.” Love all three of you so much.
Aw, Sarah those are such kind things to say!! My heart is so warm right now :) Thanks for watching along and leaving such kind words! Sending our love!! 💕
I have been here since you two were travelling in the van and to see you guys finally at peace and happiness with your whole life is so wonderful to see! Having a change of heart with where you went your life to go is so scary and exciting and you both have aced it!! Truly Inspiring to someone struggling so much mentally and physically right now! You have taught me to chase my dreams and don’t give up until I wake up and say to myself every morning, is this real life!? My goal ❤️❤️❤️❤️
We’ve missed this regular section of calm in our lives, it’s so nice to have you back in your creative groove… and Freja! She is just adorable ❤️💚🌱🏴☠️😊
I don't understand all the negative opinions regarding them showing the dog training again, this IS their life at the moment, after all, having a puppy takes over MOST of your time. Also, people wanting them to go explore and show the island... Dana and Lou moved just a few months ago from a whole different setting, don't know about everybody else, but for me, it takes a good while until I feel settled. Anyway, I have always loved their videos and watch them following their passions, no matter what they are. Little Freja is such a beam of light! My husband and I love to watch her grow AND getting better at her training sessions! I can't wait to see more of the garden, as we are also in a 'growing your own' journey since we got an allotment at the beginning of the year. Love from the UK ❤
You’re right - It’s their life and they can do whatever they want. But these videos get more boring every week so they’re going to lose their UA-cam financial base. That’s the concern. Of course they can do whatever they want. They can spend the next six years training pups and growing vegetables if they want. Just - who’s going to want to spend their time watching that? No offense intended. I’m being sincere here. It’s not fair to tell people they can’t have the opinion that the content is boring and overdone. This is important information for content creators who seek to make their living from their content.

After just watching "Maid" on Netflix, I'm getting major Margaret Qualley vibes, y'all could be sisters, has anyone ever mentioned that to you, Dana? Anyways, great video as always, love the puppy vibes and super jealous of that massive block of tofu. 💚

I know you guys probably don't show many of your public outings, but make sure you are exposing Freja to as much as you can at this young age. Take her to a lake full of ducks or a playground full of screaming children. Expose her to bikes, strollers, busy roads, barking dogs, and loud noises. Start working on training in pet friendly stores. German Shepherds have a tendency of becoming very reactive to things that are new to them. Also, prepare yourselves for the teenage months, they are no joke!
Love the fact that you have moved to Hawaii but this seems to have turned into a dog training situation. Would love to see more other content being that we are about 3 or 4 months behind in time. Catch us up to a few weeks.
Sorry to say, but this episode is almost the exact same as last weeks. Dog training gets repetitive very fast. Maybe show a bit more of the culture of the island or the nature or something. You moved to Hawaii but all we've seen is your home :/ Not trying to be hateful or anything, just trying to help!
I'm sad to agree, my goal is to visit Hawaii one day (not sure where) but the video's so far are so void of outside life that they could be filmed anywhere. I guess there's a fine line between personal security, respecting the locals space and hidden gems but also celebrating the life and joy of Hawaii. I as a viewer want more Hawaii though!
No worries at all, that's not hateful to share your opinion! We are just taking our time getting used to the island, meeting people here and learning how to be respectful neighbors. There are more varied things planned down the line, but for the time being, taking things day by day with these smaller projects, as the title says, a simple day in the life, kind of similar to our pre-van life days :) Hope you are having a wonderful Sunday!
I don't mean this as a criticism ... not at all, who doesn't love cuddling their pup? But some alternative "dog transport" might not be a bad idea. Dogs (especially young ones) "loose" or in your lap in a moving car isn't always a good idea. A couple of family members had a pup they loved to the moon and allowed to ride in their laps in the car. The dog loved it too. Anyway, a car cut them off in traffic and they had to slam on the brakes --- hard --- the dog flew into the dashboard and it broke the dog's neck - of course, killing the pup. These are people who were almost OCD dog owners, doing everything they could to make sure their dog was taken care of, loved & nurtured. Of course, they were devastated. They have a new pup and a crate and a net in the car for when the dog doesn't want to be in the crate.
Hi guys, I just don’t understand why you never let her be free. She is always with a leash or in her kennel and she is a little puppy as well. I understand that you are training her but I think it is just si severe for a puppy. Hope you read this.
Hi Do you need some great lighting for your car to help you better driving, off-road. We're the pro auto lighting manufacturer for nearly 20 year and we're looking for sponsorship!
I don’t know agricultural laws in Hawaii but in my state you cannot plant store garlic because it can spread disease. Purchasing “seed garlic” from a nursery is the way to go. No need to wait for a sprout just plant each clove root side down. Garlic is so fun to grow. Good luck!
For us Europeans the whole Cage thing is so weird. It's a puppy, she needs love. It feels like the old fashioned cruel method to let a baby cry in the night. Now we know that it is traumatizing for babies. You said it was her first unsubervised time. Let her play by herself. Playing is so important for her brain development. Yes she is a German Shepard but that doesn't mean you have to be so strict to her.
I was looking for someone who would say something about that. I lived for 5 years in North America and even met vegans who use crates. I don't get it... how it's so normalized... animals shouldn't be prisoners. Dana, Lou if you read this, please don't take offense, I've been following you for years and I am sure, you mean well. It's a cultural difference here, but yeah maybe ask yourself this question, is that really necessary?
Just a reminder that this is 16 minutes out of 24 hours… They are also being very intentional about their work with Freja, as her job will be to protect Dana. I think instructions from their professional trainers take priority over a comment on their video.
Maybe lose the crate as soon as she is potty trained. The happiest families snuggle together on the furniture and sleep together at night. She is family now, not "dog".
I will be honest and will be leaving this channel. The move from boat to house so quickly wasn’t the journey I was looking for as, well, I live in a house and have a car. Best of luck

Love your videos
Hi Do you need some great lighting for your car to help you better driving, off-road. We're the pro auto lighting manufacturer for nearly 20 year and we're looking for sponsorship!
You just have to plant the garlic and it will grow.
I don’t know agricultural laws in Hawaii but in my state you cannot plant store garlic because it can spread disease. Purchasing “seed garlic” from a nursery is the way to go. No need to wait for a sprout just plant each clove root side down. Garlic is so fun to grow. Good luck!
I love your videos SO much!! Could she be any cuter?? Those ears!
This has definitely become a puppy channel lol
For us Europeans the whole Cage thing is so weird. It's a puppy, she needs love. It feels like the old fashioned cruel method to let a baby cry in the night. Now we know that it is traumatizing for babies. You said it was her first unsubervised time. Let her play by herself. Playing is so important for her brain development. Yes she is a German Shepard but that doesn't mean you have to be so strict to her.
I agree! We only use the cage in the car for safety. Never inside the house!
@@UntilTheEnd123 We do have well trained dogs in Europe 😊 without using a crate
@@jolantad4868 Oh, well that’s interesting.
She is getting big. You probably can't see it though. Be well...
Thanks Kim, wishing you well too!! 💕
❤️
Love your life :))
Thank you for spending time with us watching, Andrés! We hope you are having a wonderful day :)
I like your doggo
Thanks so much, Adnan! And for all your happy comments every week, always make me smile :) we send you our love!!
love!
Maybe lose the crate as soon as she is potty trained. The happiest families snuggle together on the furniture and sleep together at night. She is family now, not "dog".
Just wanted to point out that clearly Lou is the pack leader. Freya will always defer to Lou when he's present.
Just a side note - can someone please agree with me that Dana has such beautiful hands, she should be a hand model 😁😁
All the dog training experts in the comments. Wow
You guys need a new pic on your UA-cam channel. Just saying.
I will be honest and will be leaving this channel. The move from boat to house so quickly wasn’t the journey I was looking for as, well, I live in a house and have a car. Best of luck
It's called life
That's totally fair if this isn't your cup of tea, we hope you find other inspiring stories on this magical world of UA-cam that are more up your alley :) Thanks for having tuned in to the boat life chapter of our life, and we wish you all the best, too!
I was here before the boat, and frankly wasn't into the boat!
