Exactly the vid I was looking for! Nice hack using the pontoon frame! How is that boat when it comes to hitting/rubbing on rocks? Have you hit the tubes with any flies yet? I am about to buy one off Craigslist right now so I was wondering how tough the tubes are
Good idea, nicely done. But I'm wondering how it handles with three full sized guys. Seems like a lots of weight with gear on that boat. Please do a follow up video with the boat in action. Thanks!
The colorado frame is exactly what I have been looking for. Only question I have is how is the factory width of the frame compaired to the width of the boat? Any mods needed? Or are we going to get lucky?
@@fishadvisor3637 I cut both sides of my seat frame down by an inch or two, then redrilled the holes. However, the factory frame works, it just hangs over the side a few inches!
Saw your comment about getting pin holes on your M4 dragging it river shores and embankment. Yeah dont think the M4 was made for that. Nice frame though!
Absolutely sick setup! I want to build a drift boat like this and want to buy a frame to add for fly fishing trips! How did you secure the frame down on the boat?
Beginning to create my intex drift boat based off your video. How is it holding up and have you had any concerns about durability? Did you keep the slatted floor? Thinking about going with 1/2" ply like Ive seen in others. Thank you!
Looks great love that frame
I love this set up! One question. Where the framing for the center seat touches the boat. Any wear problems?

No issues in 5 years
Great idea
Brilliant! 👌🏽
Do you remember what kind of pontoon frame you used and your not running the plastic floor ?

The Fishing Doctors Adventures it handles no problem with 3 full size men. The gear is light and the boat has 1100lb capacity.
Did the boat worn at all where your frame sits on the boat?
Hey where did you get that seat in the middle from? How's that holding up?
How did you attach the main straps to the frame to the raft thank you I'm building one right now
PLEASE do a update! It's a while so tell us how well the boat has faired?
How is this raft holding up? How did it do across gravel bars and rock as far as the bottom goes?
No issues in five years, but I haven’t dragged across any gravel bars.
what size coolers are those?
Have you ever taken this down the bow river? Your other video mentioned fishing in Ab. I'm thinking about the same build for the bow.
Yes, it’s been on the Bow River more than any other River.

No mods needed, fit perfectly

Thinking about doing this myself. I'm up in montana and you can't find a decent drift raft for under 3k. How has it held up?
Had it for five years now no issues
Is that a pontoon boat frame?
Yes

I’ve used the boat in deeper rivers like the Bow river in Alberta. No issues or repairs in five years.
Absolutely sick setup! I want to build a drift boat like this and want to buy a frame to add for fly fishing trips! How did you secure the frame down on the boat?
Collin Brister I actually took the rope off and added a bunch of carabiners. Then used tie downs from the carabiners to the frame.
Any Updates on the boat? i know its been a while lol. Im interested in trying a similar setup with the mariner 4
No issues in five years I’d recommend it
where ou get those seats
Bass pro shop, the middle seat is off a one man pontoon boat for flyfishing.
Do you think that motor mount can support transom wheels?
Jackson T. Probably not.
Do you think most pontoon frames would fit inside that boat I have a couple old ones laying around
I think so, you want the frame to sit on top of the inter-tubes.

Tyler B boat is still in great shape. I kept the original floor. Send me a picture of your boat when your done.
How does this boat do pulling it up on shallow gravel bars to wade fish? Do you worry about tearing the bottom?
Hi my friend! After 3 years your opinion on this product ? Do you recommend the purchase?
Yes, had it for five years now no issues.
How heavy of an anchor were you using?
10 lb
@@fishadvisor3637 what style of anchor? I’ve read that a boat of that size should have a heavier anchor so I’m curious how you did with a lighter one.
@@catchingcalifornia9758 I don’t anchor the boat in heavy current just when I’m close to shore or when I get out to wade.
Have you tried this yet? How was it to row? Stability?
Thomas Wright Yes, it rows great and it is stable enough to stand and fish while going down the river.
Hi where could i get the frame for this set up
