- After receiving a complaint from a frustrated neighbor, Burgess (Marina Squerciati) and Officer Sorensen (guest star Kevin Kane) arrive to the house of baseball player Jake McCoy (guest star Billy Burke), and find the dead body of a 16-year-old girl, Maya Collins (guest star Violett Beane).

Meanwhile, Burgess and Sorensen track down a thief who turns out to be a cop with a rocky past, and Lindsay (Sophia Bush) gets a mysterious flower delivery that may be tied to her past. Anyone else notice that when the guy was gonna commit suicide. they stopped him, by pointing a gun and threatening to shoot him ?
Yeah and he stopped. That kind of confused me. Although they probably didn't know he was going to use the gun to commit suicide, why would he stop if he was going to do it?
I think it was the element of surprise vs them pointing guns at him.
He thought he was meeting a friend for a private conversation, then cops come up behind him telling him to drop the gun.
He got scared lowed the gun then you go in
I think it's because it's in the script of the seris

Does anyone who watched the full episode know what happened?
spoiler warning :
in the end the baseball player confessed to olinsky. he said he came back from a hunting trip a day early and saw maya stealing his stuff (he let her stay at his place to help her). then he pushed her out of anger and she hit her head on the table. that's how she died. the baseball player didn't call an ambulance because he said she was already dead.

Is Chicago Fire as good as med and pd?
Of all the Chicago series, I liked Fire the best. Better character development than Med, still suspenseful, though not as gritty as PD. They progressed reasonably well with story lines, without dragging out the dramas. It was the one I watched the longest.
Fire is the best followed very closely by PD then Med
In my opinion, PD is at the top, because its characters are the ones most likely to die, with Fire's cast being close second. But on Med, it's almost never the main characters themselves in danger, so the worst that can really happen is a patient dying. But it all started with Fire. And PD in general has much more drama than the other shows.
