Absolutely brilliant coverage of some of the recipes! You must be non stop cooking Gary! I’m intrigued with these recipes. I’ve been doing airfryer recipes for nearly 2 years now and covered a cookbook. Thanks for the tremendous inspiration. I’m forever getting on the back of celebrities but only done 1 Jamie recipe. Do love Poppy O’Toole. The Tier system is great and love the sound effects. Great video, engagement and presenting, as always. My wife would love the salmon recipe. Your videos just get better & better. Hibb
@@BigSpud I've just been reading through your top 3 book reviews for each year, really do like your website. Also noted you voted Ottolenghi 'plenty' 2nd place for 2010... I actually don't have this book.
@@HappyHungryHibby yes it's a brilliant book. Highly recommended. Maybe get it from the library, try before you buy. I also like using WOB.co.uk for second hand books.
Wow great video. I've just bought this air fryer today. I've always had a really negative view on air fryers because all I saw was people cooking chips and nuggets in them, however I was still curious 😅 Over the last few weeks I've seen videos of people baking, making whole chickens etc... which is what convinced me to try, but this video is even better, I'm so excited to try some of these recipes out! (P.s do you ever use the temperature probe? Does it work outside of the prob setting just to check the temp of something at the end of cooking?)
Yes it's unfortunate they have a reputation as a chicken-nugget-warmer. They really can replace a lot of your oven / grill functions if you think a bit creatively, and I think Jamie's series really highlights the potential. I do use the probe occasionally - for meats and baking. It's very effective. I reviewed it more fully here ua-cam.com/video/FmqTd3SRkIE/v-deo.html
Pork belly was my favourite for sure. A two drawer airfryer is great if your budget will stretch, but it's a great way to get quick meals on the table that are still home-cooked. It will also cook frozen food much faster! Good luck.
Most of them yes. I think the cheesecakes were on a lower setting. Note some require a lower temperature. Jamie's full recipes here www.jamieoliver.com/air-fryer-meals/
Hi. Jamie recommends 200c for 20 minutes (that's "Air fry" on my machine). Full recipe here www.jamieoliver.com/recipes/chicken-breast-recipes/air-fryer-chicken-mushroom-pastry-parcels/
Hi Gary am I wrong but did Jamie only do two Tv air fryer ones? Only on catch up it only showed two I was Hopi G for more but your video is helpful thank you
Hi, yes just the two specials. I was expecting a slightly longer series too. I believe it was more successful than Jamie was expecting so maybe there'll be more.
What a generous gesture Gary. Much appreciated. I love Jamie's attitudes to helping everyone on budgets feel able to produce good food relatively quickly and easily. Your presentation reflects similar generosity of spirit. Thank you.

Kind words as always. I do recommend Poppy's airfryer cookbook, it's really good. And yes, I'm non stop cooking!
@@BigSpuddidn’t know she’s done an airfryer cookbook! Definitely be checking that out
@@HappyHungryHibby I named it one of my top books of last year bigspud.co.uk/my-favourite-cookbooks-of-2023/

Airfryerless as I am, I think I'm going to try some of these in the oven.
As always with Jamie, the recipes are solid. Airfryer or not.
thanks still deciding on the air fryer I have a small kitchen but working single mum so may cut down frozen meals
the pork belly looked good on the show for sure

Very surprised by the rankings on some of these!
Foil parcel chicken lower than the baked alaska, and tinned potatoes winning you over!
Tinned potatoes completely won me over!
Hi Gary, are all the recipes cooked on the "airfry setting?"
Most of them yes. I think the cheesecakes were on a lower setting. Note some require a lower temperature. Jamie's full recipes here www.jamieoliver.com/air-fryer-meals/
Hi Gary I noticed ed you did the chicken in pastry like Jamie, did you do it on air fry or bake.
Jamie didn't say only the temp & time

Ooooh that cheesecake looks so yummy!!
Check the link in the description for the recipe, but yeah my little tweak worked really well!

In my view food and recipes are meant to be shared - that's why they are written down. Thank you for your kind words.
Could I ask - what model Ninja do you have?
Yes - it's the AF451UK, full review here ua-cam.com/video/FmqTd3SRkIE/v-deo.html
Scone as in "Gone" well said!
I try not to think about it too much or I get muddled!
