I cover kitchen gadget reviews, recipes, cooking and all topics in between. Expect recipes, roast potatoes and other cookery malarkey from an Essex boy who likes food 'n' stuff. I cook potatoes a lot too, so look forward to lots of potato recipes. I cook. A lot. Pretty much every day. And I want to share that passion and experience with you.
I've been blogging since 2007 and I've been lucky enough to work with Heston Blumenthal, Jamie Oliver and many other chefs and food personalities.

Using what I know about Heston and his food I try and predict what the cryptic menu hides.

The Cuisinart ICE100BCU ice cream maker is a premium product. In my review I'll take a look at it to decide if this is the right ice cream machine for you. Aren’t apples the apples of the earth?
They might be the potatoes of the tree.
“There is nothing worse than a large nut in your mouth.” How can someone say that without chuckling?
.... I'm gonna go stare at my russet potatoes in my kitchen and search for this deep inspiration. Or at least an echo of Marco's soft voice
I think you should. Yukon do it!
Thank you!
Did you make this? How did it go?
Stop trying to be Ghandi. Just cook and tell. You are more irritating than any person can stand. You are not an oratator you are a cook. Maybe once a sjef but speaking so much bullshit you have degrated yourself to the level of a cook. By the way, any Springbok supporter can feed more people than you would be able to achieve. We can braai and not talk about braaing.
Me all drunk making fries at 3 in the morning
Can't beat a midnight snack.
Potato dreams
Dreaming about Marco?
Wouldn't even afford the service charge, but happy about it ^^
Yeah out of my price range too!
Are you eating at The Fat Duck this Christmas?
I bought my Ninja directly from them. Started great then developed an intermittent problem that switches the machine off. This is regardless of whether using the probe or any other programme. As I took my Ninja out of the UK despite it only being a few months old Shark /Ninja won't honour the 2 year guarantee. All in all not happy with them and certainly wouldn't recommend their product. However, I do like the reviews where it's important to acknowledge all that's good and bad with the product or company. What a pity the customer service department from Ninja don't want to acknowledge the problems..
Wow that's really bad. Thanks for sharing your experience.
I was thinking this guy was full of himself until he said the labourer, craftsman, artist quote. I liked that.
Well both can be true... he can be full of himself and full of wisdom!
I got the same thing as a gift off of Temu, my question is do you what kind of freezer bags it uses. I have tried 2 or 3 different kinds and none work or can you tell me how to get the other bags how to work? Thanks in advance!
Hi, I've never used freezer bags with this. I use 'vacuum seal' or 'sous vide' bags. You can also buy a huge roll of it and cut to length.
I am looking for a machine which makes apsulatly smooth ice cream whithout any ice crystals. I tried same machines but I was not satisfied. I want to buy this machine but ı want to make sure it produces crystal free smooth ice cream. I appriciate if users of this machine will help me to decide. Thank you in advance
In my experience the ice cream has always been very smooth and free of crystals. Should be true of any premium ice cream machine.
Sir, this is a Wendy's. Take your fries and leave please
Sir, this is a Marco's.
"I ate his liver with fava beans and a nice Chianti.."
... And butter
Did you remove the copper looking strip on the heating rail?
No, the heating element wire is built into the tape.
We got Marco ASMR before GTA 6
Marco should be a playable character
I'm goin to bed with a potato tonight 😉
This sounds NSFK (not safe for kitchen)
Imagine being an apple and hearing a chef call a potato the "apple of the earth"
"What am I, chopped apples?"
As a former line cook, culinary grad, lover of food, I can whole heartedly agree with everything Marco says here. If you have the passion, you just know it and feel it in your bones….i admired Marco when I was a chef, I probably watched every video that’s on UA-cam of him ❤… he’s my favorite, him and Gordon!
Glad you enjoyed. I have more Marco videos in the works.

The internet just got hypnotized..... I'm intoxicated on butter now drunk and dreaming about buttered potatoes.
DRUNK... on butter.
Scone as in "Gone" well said!
I try not to think about it too much or I get muddled!
A proper review
Thanks! Are you buying one?
Gordon; I need knobs Of butter
Knobs now Gordon!
It's his choice.
Totally mental
For butter
FSA "Food Standards Agency" quoted: Acrylamide is described by the FSA as "a chemical substance formed when starchy foods, such as potatoes and bread, are cooked at high temperatures (above 120°C)." However, since then the FSA have reversed this guidance and encourage all consumers to now keep your spuds in the fridge... 10th March 2023
Ah very useful info! Thanks for the update (this is from 2020)
Wow great video. I've just bought this air fryer today. I've always had a really negative view on air fryers because all I saw was people cooking chips and nuggets in them, however I was still curious 😅 Over the last few weeks I've seen videos of people baking, making whole chickens etc... which is what convinced me to try, but this video is even better, I'm so excited to try some of these recipes out! (P.s do you ever use the temperature probe? Does it work outside of the prob setting just to check the temp of something at the end of cooking?)
Yes it's unfortunate they have a reputation as a chicken-nugget-warmer. They really can replace a lot of your oven / grill functions if you think a bit creatively, and I think Jamie's series really highlights the potential. I do use the probe occasionally - for meats and baking. It's very effective. I reviewed it more fully here ua-cam.com/video/FmqTd3SRkIE/v-deo.html
did not work
Ask for a refund.
Did he just call the potato the apple of the earth
He did.
Folks. I’ve got one of these. A great buy Having the compressor in the machine saves so much stuffing about churning the ice cream Fantastic buy for the money
Totally agree!
I think I just made love to a spud.
This guy...
He is a guy alright.
You can't help but recognize the degeneracy of our society when there are millions starving every single day and at the same time there's people like this guy uttering pointless, completely out of touch nonsense about f-in POTATOES.....
"Potato" is "apple of the earth" in Hebrew.. I suppose it's the same in some other languages?
Yes same in French. Marco would definitely have known this.
@BigSpud Ah okay, thanks. I love that a spud replied 😂🩵

Can you make slushy in this ?
I tried this recently and the answer is 'sort of'. The sorbet setting gets the best result but it's a chunkier granita finish.
Such a soothing, peaceful voice. I could literally sleep to it.
I've heard many say that!
I suspect he may want to court that potato lmao😅😂😂
Romancing the Spud.
Butter is my go to in the kitchen lol it never use to be untill I have learned to let it speak for itself and omg ❤
Butter, butter, butter!

Thanks Mungo! Do you have one of these airfryers?
