You know what I love the most? The way you demonstrate that the art of masterful storytelling doesn't need huge sets, tons of money thrown at it, tricksy camera angles and complicated shots, but what it DOES need is a *master storyteller* . *looks at you unwaveringly, just long enough for it to become slightly weird* The film world might be full of individuals with a lot of money _but_ it's not full of master storytellers- I get more pleasure from the storytelling in your films than I do from the majority of films put out into the world because you actually *care* about what stories you are weaving, you craft things that go interesting places (even when they're breaking my heart, ffs, and I won't lie, I've only been able to watch this particular video in chunks because I don't like to feel certain emotions all at once, it's too overwhelming). I love your storytelling even when it makes me uncomfortable as fuck.

I swear, if Matt is ever again saying how much he cares for me I´ll punch him in the face! But I can use my power to save Dimi, right? After all, I can travel back in time, that´s what I just learned. Jim, I both hate (not being serious in the least, of course) and adore you for your ability to create storylines and characters so complex and convincing that they are able to mess with my emotions in such a way. Well, I´m gonna need a moment now, Dimi was (apart from Joe) the one of your characters I liked the most. Also, I´m gonna need another moment to process how mindblowing it is that in the end, everything is part of a unbelievable layered storyline. And of course I can´t wait to see what will happen next. I’m falling asleep writing this, but I really adore how these thumbnails look in order! There’s something really poetic about the transition from black to blue, and how Dimi becomes easier to see in the thumbnails as we learn more about him.
I came to begrudgingly accept the ending of Matt videos but et tu, Dimi?! 😭💔💜 Ouch! I can't even be mad (devastated and even more invested, but not MAD). I just love this all a whole heckin' ton. Main takeaways from this video:
1) When Matt made the deal in the prequel video, the viewer became tied to him in a way that made us an ‘immortal spirit’.
2) As an immortal spirit, we can exist across time and space in a way that explains the function of a viewing audience: there’s no specific form the viewer can take because there’s so many people that watch these videos.
3) Matt killed Dimi, making me feel significantly less bad about the amount of times Matt has died.
4) I think the voice at the end says this: “Seek the blank (home?), Immortal Spirit, and you may save your savior or release the doomed man from his curse.” Wonder what ‘the blank home’ could be.

This video reminded me of my journey.
I got shot on the leg when I was 7 years old, on daylight, so I grew up in fear of the outside in general developing social anxiety, it’s been more than twice that a gun has been pointed towards me, I used to vomit at the sound of a gunshot weather it was real or not but I started auto treating myself by watching shows with lots of guns or anime like shock therapy, it’s been 10 years since then and to this day my chest still tightens a little when I hear gunshots but I’m working on it by myself since people around me don’t understand the feeling.

Okay, I feel a bit embarrassed commenting on a video so old but after watching this video and Dimi talking about having strong mental abilities, plus having watched the other videos where it’s literally centered around the same thing, I have a funny story to tell. Funny to me anyways.
I got a minor concussion today (nothing to worry about really) so a safe amount of hours after, I decided to take a little nap to let my body do what it needs to while my mind rested since I couldn’t focus or do anything productive anyways. The latter half of my dream and the only part I can remember had to do with being tested physically and at the very end a lady asked me to read the mind of an infant version of the creature I had to fight for my life from before hand. She was asking for me to get into its mind and see what it was thinking about while asleep as if that would help beat these creatures. I ended up accidentally turning my actual hearing on and grounding myself in my core reality as I told the lady I couldn’t hear the baby’s thoughts but I could hear a constant deep humming and everything that was going on in my uni dorm. It was a bit weird because it felt like for a second I was aware of two places at once in the theoretical multiverse!
