All torqueedo battery cost about the same and uses mostly same voltage.
It’s a displacement hull not a planing hull, square root of the water line times 1.34 to get hull speed after that it’s a waste of power
How is the distance as far as battery life?
Looks like a lot of fun to just drive around. This can really help get out and back really quite. That's really important if you don't have a lot of time. Where do you store the Evolve when you are not using it? I look forward to seeing how you like it after a few months of use.

Just one question, does it have a reverse? Every video shows it in forward. Hobie's site doesn't say. I would assume that for over $2,000 dollars it should but I can't find that info in the site.

My humble opinion. Way too expensive and short lasting. I’ve recently gone with the water snake t 24 , paired with a 50 ah lithium Vmax pro battery. The v max capacity is much larger than the evolve. The total price is a fraction of what I would have paid for the hobie evolve. My work schedule has been busy recently, but I should have some videos posted to my channel soon of the setup in use during my kayak catfishing outings. I heard you’re in Virginia, I fish Virginia waters too. Great channel. 👍🏽
