Nice video. I’m assuming the power of the motor is too powerful to integrate steering into the factory Hobie rudder control? Do you steer the torqueedo with the Hobie rudder stowed and mirage drive out?? I lay my hog trough in the floor of my yak when taking pics for bass tourneys. Reduces risk of fish jumping overboard. Was thinking the foot controls may get in the way...and if you’re still looking for someone in Texas to represent torqueedo, I’m right here!! Thanks brother. BBT
I have a Hobie PA14 also and was thinking about getting the 1103. Is there any solution to not block the fishing pole holders with the peddle steering? Or maybe to keep some functioning holders? Thanks and great product.
Thanks for the video. I have a PA12, so can you suggest which type will be better? 403AC or 1103 AC? 1103 AC seems more power, however it comes with less rang compare with 403AC. Right? Thanks.
TheWyldFisher It will not ProNav. I will do a video soon, showing how to vertical jig in 50 feet of water against a cross wind and tidal current. Foot control steering and a nice chart is key.
Hey Jeff what kind of range do you think I can get out of this motor on a pro angler 17t I fish a lot with my son he’s only nine and it’s a lot of work getting that thing moving on my own
Jonathan Hatfield The first shipment of 1103’s is leaving Torqeedo in Germany next week. It takes 5 to 6 weeks to ship them by boat (because of Hazmat precautions of shipping lithium) to Illinois. That first batch of 50 is already sold. Delaware Paddlesports has some of those first 50, and has some of the second shipment reserved already. Running these batteries in parallel is not an option. We do have some refurbished 915 Wh batteries available at the Illinois office. Call 815-444-8806 ext. 2 to order.
I have a Pro Angler 14 and I'm going to put an 1103 on it. I'd really like to know where I can get a mounting bracket that bolts to the hull and distributes pressure to the rear handle like the one Jeff has under the Torqeedo mount. That looks sweet...
rob g The pylon is much heavier and more powerful than the 403 pylon. As such, the 1103 drum, steering triangle, motor lift bar, trim adjustment pin and associated hardware are all different. Just swapping out the pylon would leave you with a set up that would sustain damage and not be safe.
@@TheLittleStuff I have a 2014 proangler, if I purchase the motor how do I mount it to the kayak? Innovative sportsman has new hardware? Or does replacement hardware come with it.
Yes, I've been doing that for about three years. It doesn't like to turn at slow speeds at all. It will turn like a semi in a parking lot at about 2.5 - 4mph.
joe emerson The first set of 50 that went up for presale are accounted for. They arrive in February. I believe that Delaware Paddlesports bought 5 of them. I’m not sure if they’ve sold all of those. I don’t have an ETA for the next shipment of 50, but if you want one sooner than later, I would reserve one now.
Todd Waters There are no plans as of now to make a direct drive 403. The 1103 was a result of updating the Travel 1003 from one with a reduction gear to a direct drive design. That made it heavier, but peak output increased by 10%.
Ive got 1103 on my hobie. Its my ultimate stealth hunting and fishing craft for the Atchafalaya Basin.
It’s a great combination!

Will this have ProNav? We all want a Torqeedo that will hold it’s position...

I have a pro angler what did you use to mount the SEA-LECT Designs Kayak Recreational Footbrace w/ Rudder Control thanks
When will it ship Jeff? Also, any plans on adding higher capacity batteries or being able to run 2 packs in parallel?

Will it work with twin motors on a big fish 108 ?. Since it's a tri hull and it's bigger .

Thomas Pyle Innovative Sportsman has them.
@@TheLittleStuff , just saw this. Thanks. 've contacted them...
Gotta get a hydro foil. Help out with that bow wake
Can this motor work on a 2019 Hobie Outback or is it better to use the 403?
Hi what Landing gear do you use?
Will it be possible in the near future to purchase the pylon separate. I have ultralight batteries with innovative sportsman mount already.

How the motor steering connected?
Oof. I’ll be making my own battery. That’s just nuts expensive
Who installed this for you?
I did the installation, but Innovative Sportsman or Delaware Paddlesports can do it. So can The Dugout Bait & Tackle.
Has anybody seen a stationary mounted 1103 on a PA 14 - using the rudder to steer?
Yes, I've been doing that for about three years. It doesn't like to turn at slow speeds at all. It will turn like a semi in a parking lot at about 2.5 - 4mph.
How heavy is it seams to riding low in the back?
That’s a result of stern squat of the motor’s thrust more than its weight.
@@TheLittleStuff Loaded with gear and it's game over how low it goes.
How long till it available?

where can i get the hands free setup? thx
Paul Anderson Delaware Paddlesports can do the foot control steering on that kayak.
$2,300? Not cheap
Any plans on making a direct drive 403 so it's quiet?
Would it lose speed?

I have been waiting for this since you started making the new mount. Great work. I am pumped!
