Good vid as usual! Having had a Honda motorcycle or two in my life, I would like to recommend something when it comes to final drive(s) or the diff in this case. When you go to change the oil, it's advised that you remove the fill cap first. These things have been known (at least for Goldwing owners) to have gotten stuck and broken while trying to remove them. If you had removed the drain plug and drained out the oil first, you can't fill it back up if you have a stuck or broken filler cap.
Thank You Buddy for POSTING These Videos, Very Helpful, I Think I Bought the Last 2020 P500 In Central Ar, Sept 20th 2020, I Bought the Maint Plan, $1600.00 All I Had Done was 2 Oil Changes. Went in Yesterday For Oil Change and Check Up, They Said MAINT PLAN was Only 3 Yr's, >?? DAM, At $ 129.00 Labor Cost Per Hr. I SAID, NOT TODAY, $ 42.00 I Bought The BOX of Needed Stuff and $ 29,00 Air Filter. Now Gonna Change the Front and Back DIFF OIL. I Used to Rebuild LOCOMOTIVES For 34 Years So, I CAN DO IT... But THANK YOU AGAIN For the Guideance. LOVE MY P 5 It's Called "T BUCKET"
Maybe someone commented on this already, but your skid plate was installed upside down (as was mine). I took off my skid plate and flipped it over….hole is now directly below the oil drain plug. Thanks for the video. I watch often.
Dude just did the front and rear differential. With your guidance it was easy you even had the sockets right for Pete sake‘s. My P 500 is a 2016 and they did line up the holes in the skid plate which was sweet so thanks for the heads up so I can look for that right away. Keep up the great videos and great instructions I love them you’re the man you rock!
I pulled the skids plate to change the diff fluid, and do yourself a future huge favor.... use ANTI SEIZE on every bolt, nut etc. Great channel, most of what ive done to my 15 p500 has been learned here... thanks.
Lowe’s. It’s just a 4’ side mount tool box for a pickup truck. Any 4’ side mount box will fit and I just attached to the rack with u-bolts. The rest I built out of wood I had laying around.
Did you ever do a p500 power steering vid? And where is the battery relocate/dual battery vid coming? Cmon, not like your busy with life or anything...jk. :)
I already had power steering hooked up before I started doing UA-cam so that’s why there is no vid for it. Dual battery and battery relocate is coming...at some point...lol.

Mine was installed upside down. Guess a lot of units must have gotten through quality before this was caught.
Thank you for this video! You’ve been very helpful over the last couple years since I’ve bought my P-5!!!!

The hole on my 2017 was lined up perfect Honda must have got some complaints and fixed it
Where is the differential switch on a side by side
Depends on what SxS and if it even has a difflock. Some don’t unfortunately
Great video. Much easier than Polaris plus you don't have to use the "special" expensive fluids that polaris says you have to use.
