- In this video I show you my grandmother's most delicious cake. It must be over 100 years old and was taught to me by my grandmother. I always watched with all my heart as my grandmother used to prepare this delicious cake. Whether it's Christmas, a birthday or just a nice day - this cake will make all guests happy!

Ingredients:
Dough:
130ml milk
130ml water
20 g sugar (1 tbsp + 2 tsp)
1 tsp salt
100 grams of butter
160 g flour (1⅓ cups)
5 eggs
Filling:
120 g vanilla pudding powder
700 ml milk
2 egg yolks
120 grams of sugar
1 vanilla bean
250 grams of butter
500 grams of strawberries.
powdered sugar
Bake: 230°C / 446°F 10 minutes on top/bottom heat then 200°C / 392°F 10 minutes
Baking pan diameter: 45 cm x 35 cm

The filling would not have been a vanilla pudding mix from a packet. Probably some form of chilled custard

I think it is more to have a solid ground to cut. Otherwise the squichiness of the filling would make it a mess of sorts. As the batter got into the pot it is called "Brandteig" in german.

Did her husband pass away from a heart attack? That filling is RAW BUTTER and custard. This is an egg/butter/milk and white flour desert. Don't get spoiled by eating this because this desert is spelt d. E. A f with a th. . Be careful. But it is probably a step up if you scarf doughnuts and hamburgers with a coke as a rule. In conclusion, Just say NO to crack. We can't eat what we want.
A little advice. Always put the butter in the warm filling and mix well. When it cools down, just mix it once more. It is good to put white chocolate in this type of cream when cooking. That way you will make the smoothest and creamiest cream ever.
Then it would be a completely different recipe than what she's sharing, wouldn't it? Your advice should only be a 'suggestion' at best..not 'advice'.

Those square and round adjustable cake pans are incredibly popular in Europe, hard to find here in stores
My guess is Amazon and perhaps a restaurant supply store. Be selective though for the better quality to avoid rusting.

@@WriterLady I don't believe any instant pudding powder or powdered custard was around 100 years ago. They made custards and similar from scratch.

Long live the kitchen machines. My mum used to make this eclair dough by hand, beating in each egg until it was absorbed. I will get myself a decent machine like yours and then make some as well 💖
I still do my pâte à choux by hand since it is so easy and fewer dishes to wash. On the other hand, I remember my grandma doing her famous angel food cake by hand. No way would I do that. I LOVE my stand mixer for things like angel food, sponge cakes, merengues, etc. I have 2 bowls that fit mine which works out really great when making cakes that need the egg whites beaten separately and later folded in. I can do the eggs in one bowl and the rest of the batter in another.

Аутентичный польский торт "Карпатка" имеет внизу корж из песочного теста, промазанный джемом, а сверху слой из заварного теста, после выпечки напоминающий по виду карпатские горы.
Этот вариант более лёгкий (и в плане приготовления и по калориям), мне он нравится больше. 🍓🍓🍓

@@avgusta75 да любой, ваш любимый. По классике - мармелад. А мармелад классический - это айвовый.
Я готовила с абрикосовым джемом. Сверху - заварной крем. Потом выпеченный корж из заварного теста. Сверху "вершины" Карпат присыпала сахарной пудрой.
Но, повторяю, вариант из данного видео мне нравится больше.
Если кладёте ягоды в крем - надо съедать побыстрее, чтобы ягоды не потекли.
