My current preferred 22lr at 50 and 100 yards is SK Long Range AFTER I have used a Neal Waltz resizing die on the ammo. The die does two things that I identify as improving the precision (no, I have no targets to demonstrate). One, resizing ensures that for 360 degrees the 22lr driving rings are a consistent 0,225 in., and two, that the rings are 0.225 in. to ensure positive contact with the rifling grooves. Someone noted in the comments "remove the wax" from the SK 22lr ammo. SK does not use a wax lube; a light oil is used as with all German manufactured 22lr's that I have experience with. CCI and Eley 22lr use a wax.
Nice! I’ll have to check that one out. It’s been so hot and windy this summer, I haven’t gotten around to testing any ammo accuracy’s but hopefully that will change this fall and I’ll pick a box up of the SK Standard! Thanks for watching!
I've shot better and I've shot worse, but I've never shot in Texas. At 100yds, those were outstanding groups. We shoot for $10 a man once a week, at 100yds, and two of those groups would have taken the money. Great video and finally, someone who can shoot a 22lr.
Good vid in not ideal conditions 😂 however, if you can control how you hold your rifle I think you will see all your groups shrink. To illustrate, in some parts of the video you have your trigger hand with thumb round the grip then the next shot the thumb is straight up and down. Also your support arm moves in several different ways as it cradles the butt. With any sort of precision shooting it’s good practice to replicate everything time and time again, just like the way you control your breathing as you squeeze off a round, hope that helps some. Kind regards from across the pond in deepest Dorset 👍
Hey that was a pretty good comparison but it is hard to beat sk and lapua these two ammos that I use and believe me I have tried it all. Now with that said I use sk standard plus to practice with but different guns shoot different ammos but what a coincidence that all my czs like lapua and sk ammo go figure ha ha you can't beat that combo.

I’ve not shot SK Long Range yet but my CZ 457 just loves SK Standard Plus.

Thanks so much! I appreciate that. Some will disagree on here, but we all have good days and bad at the range!!!!

I think SK is the same as Wolf? If that is true my 1710 Annie rifle would dearly love it! Wolf Match Extra was my go to ammunition.
Wolf is just a name, now manufactured by Eley
Curious to know the make and model of the shooting glasses you are using? Thank you.
Calcutta Bimini Original Series Fishing Sunglasses... not ideal for shooting, But something is better than nothing!
