Hey guys! Nice to see you in the 12's! First, burnouts through water, with any kind of threaded tire, is a toss-up at best. Water will clung to the tread, even when you get smoke on the burnout. Once you pull up to the line, the water in the tread can be pulled down onto the track and cause slippage off the line. Better to do a dry burnout and just avoid the water. Second, "power braking" on the line puts a lot of stress on the flexible engine mounts. If you break one on the line, you will shred the fan shroud with the fan, and possibly jam your throttle and/or transmission linkage(ask me how I know!) So, if you're going to do it, chain the left side of the engine downto the frame. Again congrats on the 12.7!
One thing that's odd to me is, I put down 2.00 on my 60 ft times on street tires in my 71 Camaro and it's only a 13.8 second car. And I mean true street tires. Hankook Synergy 275/60R15. I wonder if you need to lower the RPM while you're sitting on the staging beams, then hit the throttle after you release the brake pedal. Maybe bring the RPM up just barely enough to load the suspension but not fully stress it, before the green light.
Congratulations Liv and Big Wave! I knew you could get those 12s at a good track like Bakersfield. Big Wave, your steering wheel looks like it's probably time for a replacement to be on the safe side.
You guys always are so funny, with different situations you get into, but I am truly impressed with Danny's knowledge 😊, I am very extremely happy for you getting the 12 bracket and being very comfortable and consistent 😊
I just have read all the reviews, Olivia and Danny, myself I would keep the Big Wave simple, it's a daily driver and, myself I would not do anything more to it, it's going to be a very reliable driver for you OK 😀 thanks 👍
I always hide a piece of that plastic strapping that comes on your parcels somewhere on the car. . You can fold it and slide it betwee the door glass and the rear side glass and feed it in around the lock button. pull it tight and up and you're in!
really good.if you get the line pressure up on your transmition it will help shifts are streched out a bit.just tryin to help.i can see your haveing fun.
I'll never forget in high school, I'm at a pizza place with my girlfriend and locked the keys in my 67 Chevelle and used of all things a pen spring to pop the door lock knob, the crazy thing is I had just re-installed the stock knobs about a week prior as the car had those chrome no theft knobs with no head to pull up on!, thanks for the memories!
Way to go on the 12 second car! I actually thought to myself when Danny was getting ready to make his pass, that he’s definitely running a 12.9 due to the extra pancakes, and he runs a 12.99 😂
Always, I mean always take the passenger side wiper arm: if it rains, the driver sees something and you have a spare wiper... Great that your Pontiac is in the 12's, congrats!👍
Awesome stuff guys! As a Mopar guy, it seems weird to me to get locked out of the car. My doors wont lock without the key. If you push the lock down, it pops back up when you close the door.
One of the first purchases I made after getting my 1997 Chevy Lumina was have a spare door key cut.....My daughter has the spare set of keys that came with the car.....but I figure since I have the car, I may accidentally lock the keys in it....the spare key is on another key ring, separate from the main keys.
Awesome that you guys were able to have the track to yourself. What day did you guys do this as they had races held this past weekend? Also, can we see that engine bay? Not sure if I’ve ever seen it 👍 Update….. haha, I saw a little of the engine as I kept watching your video. I gotta wait to comment when finished watching 😅 cause then you guys go to The Cowboy Palace???? I’ve only been to Chatsworth once in my life and was there for a work training. Haha the one bar I went too was The Cowboy Palace. Too funny.
I'm So Happy for you folks. You continue to do what we used to do in Sacramento in 1981. Our/ Your Governor in Fair Oaks 3 miles away from where I went to school ( Del Campo) Want's to crush your car. if it's not electric/Controlled by My on/ off switch. Don't let Goverence Stop You! Fight them. Great Vids.
You need a magnetic key box that you can hide in the front end of the tempest were you can always be able to get into your car if that happens again guts. Dan seems pretty cool and owns up to mistakes. Dan did real good run 12.99 jump in and go.
Consistency is great. Then start doing the old school hot rodders tricks like you guys brought up. Taking off the air cleaner, ice the intake, hood removal. Great seeing you guys all had fun. Kids in garages and kids in sports stay off the streets. Lol.
You will have to try a race fuel adative with non ethanal fuel. Happy happy carburator take a look at some. Congadulations on meeting your race time goal . What great progress on your car 🎉
Thats a fast daily driver. If you want lower 60 ft times you have a couple of options to keep it a daily driver but faster. Lower gears, I ran 4.10s in my daily driver and had 1.60 60ft times, a higher stall converter to get harder launch, or more power? Nitrous? 100 hp would make a huge difference but not affect daily drivability. Great job 👏 its addictive I know 😊
To make the tempest faster, cut a hole on left and right hood and you can temporary install four black pipes from the hood instead of the banana pipes, or you can remove the banana pipes leave the ls engine as is.
Pretty fast fun old car :) reminds me of my 67 Chevelle. :) and i had a fast 11 sec 74 kawi triple 750 2 stroke back in my hayday :)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
Good stuff folks. Who keeps the Camels in the car? 1 2 or both of you? Just checkin cause I do the same thing 2. And they are going to outlaw Menthols soon. I hear & Go Y ?
Bobby Crespo. Taught me 70 Chevelle ( bright red) 427 Sac. Raceway. Relax, Leave on the Yellow... Reaction time. sight think step. motor mounts. leaf springs. Then the car goes
Dude if your too lazy to break out a pair ofJack stands for yourself at least do it for when your girl is changing wheels. I was like you up until my 72 blazer pumpkin slid off a cheap floor Jack. My arm was between the 31” tire and the fender well shoving out the center cap to rotate it to the front and it snapped my Radius bone below my wrist. One botched surgery left my arm clocked 90’ out and another surgery to correct it right ac10” plate and 6 screws and my arm will never be normal again. You don’t want that guilt make her put something under the car when her legs are under the backing plate. Even if it’s your own leg please? It hurts me to watch that shit. One wheel comes off, the weight shifts to one side, I didn’t think to consider that but I do now.
I hope you can save up for some bodywork and paint on that goat. FYI if you paint that car it’ll make it more aerodynamic and make it go down the track faster. (Science) 😂
Congrats Olivia!
12.7 with a big hunk of iron like that is really good!
Well done!
Really Congratulations Liv, absolutely love watching you both. Your reaction when finding out you ran a 12 was priceless, you made me smile
Thank you so much!!

😀👏👏👏👏Always a good watch!!! And the 12’s!!! Congratulations🏁🍻🍻😊
Good job, bro-ette! 👍
Liv went to kick ass and break records. Mission accomplished!

Breaking in with the wiper arm is legendary.
Congratulations on achieving a 12 sec. Was cheering you on from my sofa lol. Keep the vids coming. My favourite UA-cam channel
Hahah thank you for watching
Congrats LIV!! I love looking in your eyes when you race.
Congratulations on the 12.70 Liv......no more beer for the crew chief.
Big congratulations !!!🎉🎉🎉 Home run on the first pitch ! Fun stuff
Congratulations Liv and Big Wave! I knew you could get those 12s at a good track like Bakersfield.
Big Wave, your steering wheel looks like it's probably time for a replacement to be on the safe side.
Get it! I ran my first 9 at Famoso. Such a great track and the crew there is amazing. Glad you got you 12, so awesome!
Thank you!!
Congrats!!!😊 You guys did a great job.😊😊😊
Awesome P.B. Olivia, you made that look easy. Great job too Danny!
Glad you guys were able to do this and get some practice in. 🍻
Absolutely love this channel, congrats on your 12 second slips! Car runs great and seems to be super reliable. 🤙🏼
Thank you!!
Good job getting into the 12 sec. Fun Fun watching you both fly down the track. Got my hat yesterday. Woo Hoo
That was too cool!
Deep in the 12's right off the bat. Well now ya know! You didn't even need to pull the air cleaner!
I truly enjoy watching Liv's automotive enthusiasm.
Thank you! :)
Great video, great driving liv, I knew you could do it, that Pontiac sounds awesome ❤❤❤
You guys always are so funny, with different situations you get into, but I am truly impressed with Danny's knowledge 😊, I am very extremely happy for you getting the 12 bracket and being very comfortable and consistent 😊

Congrats on the progress with the poncho…..she is movin for a literal land yacht
You guys are funny! Thankx for showing the blessing. My guess was 3400. More fun times!
Congratulations on your accomplishment! And in a car you built yourself, no less! Have you and Danny thought about installing a line lock on it?
That was a fun video, Congrats on your 12! Keep the vids coming🙏
Great job Guys refreshing to see a relatable car , little more torque convertor would make a big difference 👍
Awesome you hit the 12👌nice✌️🏁♥️💯 nice way to open the door🤣
Congratulations!!! You are getting that LeMans running like a top. I can't believe this is the same car with the old OHC 6 you started with!
Another good video, The Big Banana had a good day, always keep your window cracked, so you can use a coat hanger to get into it.
CRANGRATS!!!
you made it, a 12.74 in the 1/4. That's so cool. BIG WAVE ran great and was consistently running 12s. Take care, ❤

Congratulations I love the track you guys got it going on great teamwork
New subscriber. Love the channel. And Olivia is gorgeous !!!

I was like...'Vent window, vent window!!'... nicely done. In da 12's!!!
Congrats 12s 🍺Cheers
I love Racers for Christ!!!! Olivia kicked your butt Danny.
Always, I mean always take the passenger side wiper arm: if it rains, the driver sees something and you have a spare wiper... Great that your Pontiac is in the 12's, congrats!👍
Gratz for all your hard work, you did great and the car too

Go Liv Go !! Outstanding afternoon. You did Awesome 😎
Thanks so much!!
So cool!! Happy for Liv.
Liv and Danny, excellent job. Ya’ll should consider an alarm tho, and chain down the hood.
Gratulation dear Olivia for your 12,70 sec 👍👍👍
Cool, Got a 72 Chevelle that I'm starting. thinking about keeping it Old school with a 496.
Congrats guys! Very cool 😎

Great job olivia and Danny big wave is sure fast
May is an amazing guy. I’m blessed to know him
Congratulations you guys are awesome love your channel ❤️

Congratulations!! Would like to seen a run without the air filter. Engine Masters showed a 3 to 5 hp gain without the air filter.
WooHoo!!!! nice job. 👏🙌👍🤙
Congratulations. That's cool.
Holly Cow!!!! 12.77!!!! Impressive!!!!
Have you guys ever reduced rear tire pressures... more Rpm on suspension load set up, and launch.
Nice congratulations 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
FYI a Hide-a-key on the care doesn't add too much weight
Congratulations on the 12s

only rec i have is possibly fuel lean or timing but maybe both. more fuel maybe, adj timing to accomodate. also maybe drag shocks on front.
Very nice. Congratulations. The car sounds like it needs more stall speed.
You guys are great.
I said 3358 when you pulled it on the scale. When you get a sled that big to run consistent 12.7's, you have arrived. Great job guy's!
are you manually shifting or launching in drive? btw your time doesnt start until you break the beam. you dont have to worry about reaction time.
Pretty fast fun old car :) reminds me of my 67 Chevelle. :) and i had a fast 11 sec 74 kawi triple 750 2 stroke back in my hayday :)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
When you took the exhaust off the headers did you add header extensions? If not, you are losing big horsepower.
Good stuff folks. Who keeps the Camels in the car? 1 2 or both of you? Just checkin cause I do the same thing 2. And they are going to outlaw Menthols soon. I hear & Go Y ?
Good Job Olivia, 12.7.
*It sounds like your distributor needs to meet my old Allen Test distributor Machine.*
That was great.
It's a wing window car. Butterknife!
Weedpatch hwy…… and rosa’s pizza is what i think of when i hear bakersfield….and cow manure…..is rosa’s pizza still a thing there??
What motor and gearing are you running? Practice makes perfect
I have seen the car in other vids, I think Danny said it's just a stock LQ4?
Great runs congratulations but there is room for improvement on your launch and light
Bottoms up!
Congratulations gears, better burnouts, bring the RPMs up a little more. 12.60s.
Do you mind me asking what gears are you running?😊
More gear, more gear, more gear.
Liv. You should try to Red light a couple of times. See Yellow? Floor it!
Needs a little more converter and those shifts are a little lazy (could be firmer). Add a transbrake and 11s are not out of the question
Bobby Crespo. Taught me 70 Chevelle ( bright red) 427 Sac. Raceway. Relax, Leave on the Yellow... Reaction time. sight think step. motor mounts. leaf springs. Then the car goes
I love Pontiac!

Exactly what I thought
Safety is a real word.......not just an idea....😢
Good advice I’ll take it for my future jacking work
You guys need a stall converter, not a large one just something to get you off the line a little quicker..
Cold air package?
'69 Dodge Charger!!!!! I need that car 💪🤙💪
Cool show thanks
Nice vid. went to look back to find build? What is it swapped with?
6.0L LS and 4l80e :)
Good going girl. There is a calculator online that can take the weight of your car, the elapsed time and give you a HP .
Liv yeah launch on yellow 12.70s eat your breakfast 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😎
Nice job Liv!!!!! It looks like you’re leaving a bit late consistently .
I wasn't too focused on the tree or my reaction time. Just wanted to practice different foot braking techniques
Go back to start and get a good look at your face when Dan takes your food away.... You looked like
you were goind to cry. regards from Ody Slim
I hope you can save up for some bodywork and paint on that goat. FYI if you paint that car it’ll make it more aerodynamic and make it go down the track faster. (Science) 😂
Olivia needs her photo up there.
