    Thank you for the video. My 2015 Prius two just had a reading on the obd scanner with P0101. So I'll remove and clean it as you've shown here, and if it won't work, I'll replace it.

    On the 2013 it's best to remove the airbox first, and then the MAF sensor.

    you don't say anything about to disconnect the batery before you clean the senzor.
    I think it's important to know all details, because ECU storrage all errors and when you start engine the error "check engine light" on.

    4:35 skip for the next 50 thousand miles? I assume you live in an area with pretty clean and healthy air.

    Do you disconnect the battery before doing this or not?

    • @BabaG
      @BabaG Рік тому

      disconnecting the battery when you clean the MAF sensor is a good idea, it will reset the computers and improve fuel efficiency if it had gone down because the MAF sensor was dirty. If you don't disconnect the battery, the recalibration of the computers will happen over a bit more time than when the computer is reset with a battery disconnected.

      On the 2013 Prius I have, I did this cleaning when it had 60K miles on it, currently it has 74K miles on it. I get on average anywhere between 45-55 miles on a gallon of gas. I don't tend to drive the vehicle to try and maximize my mileage as I tend to speed on the highways as I tend to go with the traffic which is generally 7-10 miles above the posted speed limits. If I maintained a steady speed of 55mph I am sure I'd get higher than normal mileage. @@KevininSC

    After how many mileage do clean the mass flow air centre.

      Depends on how much you drive. How dirty it is there. You just have to clean it enough so that the dirt doesn’t build up and cause issues. I do it every 25,000 miles because I just drive in the city

      They didn't repair any wiring, they just charged you for it. Dealer I presume?
