Yo yall gotta check out more Guns n Roses--so many good songs from them. Paradise City and Sweet Child o Mine would probably be the two next best ones to check out, but they also have so many more. Axl Rose and Slash are legends
When Axl rose (lead singer) first came to LA to pursue his music career, someone yelled to him as he exited the bus, "you know where you are, you're in the jungle baby, you're gonna DIEEEEEE." That was the inspiration for this song.
Believe it or not that’s actually not true. That actually happened to him when he came to the Bronx before LA but in concerts he states it’s about LA because it’s more fitting
Remember being at a bbq with friends in summer of 87, was 9 years old, and hearing the album for the first time. Will never forget how we were all looking at each other, and needless to say the cassette stayed in throughout.
if this song couldnt get you up and rocking, you were DEAD.. Axle Rose was unique, his voice sang two tones at once!!...Love your reactions. I'm 63 years old, and I'm so enjoying seeing the younger crowd being turned on to the music from the 70's, 80's
I was 15 years old when I listened to them, I can assure you that this band in the year 92 saved me from depression when my mother died. Listening to them gave me strength, I love them for that❤️
I've always been a HUGE GNR fan - Slash is up there as one of the best guitarists EVER. Axel's voice at its peak? Second to none! They all had their personal issues but they will always be one of the GOATS of Rock bands imo! For a fast paced song of theirs as well? You could be mine. A slower pace? Don't cry. And a deep pace? Civil war.
Guns always ran along that razor blade between great and completely out of control. Amazing rhythms, underrated songwriting, Axel's unique voice and Slash's lead work had more vocal qualities than the shredders of the day. Twenty five years later and they still dominate the rock radio stations where, unlike other bands, they routinely play 5-7 songs instead of the same two you hear from most everyone else.
@@jamiemiller6156 Its ironic that in some countries they were band from doing concerts because the crowds got that out of control. I get it but it still blows my mind that despite that they still dominate as well. For good reason. They proved at the time they didn't need concerts to be as big as they became. I hope that makes sense!
As a 68 year old white woman from Ohio ...they play this song at the beginning of the Cincinnati Bengals football games. It still makes my hair stand on ends. Love watching you guys ❣️
Watching Lean On Me as a kid and hearing this song in the beginning of the movie I was super hyped. I was floored hearing one of my favorite bands songs playing in a movie.
"You can have anything you want, but you better not take it from me." Love that line. This song is off the album Appetite for Destruction". The album is mostly about drugs, partying and addiction.
you’re a very sexy girl, it’s very hard to please- you can taste the bright lights but you won’t get there for free if you’ve got a hunger for what you see, you’ll take it eventually - you can have anything you want, but you better not take it from me
Axl Rose lead singer. Hard to believe he is now 60. Time waits for no one. If you don't die, you WILL get older, and no one should kid themselves about that. I am 62. When I was much younger I was only mind aware that I would get older. As the years go by, you become more EMOTIONALLY aware of your mortality. Slash is now 57.
Speaking of the song Barracuda. Have you listened to Heart? They are the two sisters who did that song. They had some great hits. Crazy On You is another of hits. Ann and Nancy Wilson. Amazing rock artists. Nancy ranks right up there with her ability to play guitar but Ann's voice is pure gold!
This album was sick!!!!! I remember when GNR first came on the scene. It was so fresh and new. Their sound was completely different and every song was better than the last one. Good memories of being a teenager driving around in my black Geo Storm 5 speed with GNR cranked up so lound in my car. So glad you have found these songs. ROCK ON!!!
Y'all need to check out more songs off this album....every song is awesome. Some popular would be Sweet Child of Mine, Paradise City, Mr Brownstone....most of this album is about the drug scene. My Brownstone is about the struggles of heroin addiction....super awesome song.
Basically Guns N' Roses' “Welcome to the Jungle” draws a parallel between the “jungle” - a harsh, lawless environment - and city life. More specifically, the city it is considered to be referring to is Los Angeles, California. Los Angeles is a place that many people migrate to in search of stardom and fortune...according to song meanings and facts anyway
I'm old as dirt and lived in Hollywood in the 70s and 80s. It is most definitely about Los Angeles. I remember when they shot the video for this at a club called Scream. Got stuck in traffic when U2 filmed Where The Streets Have No name on top of the Republic Liquor Store and didn't tell anyone they were going to do it.

Wow! Brings back memories. I first saw Guns and Roses at the Marquee, London before they became famous. Happy days
Great reaction. I am surprised that I can still move my neck after growing up with these guys and music like this, lmao. My question for y'all is this: Has doing these reaction videos and having learned all of this killer rock changed any of your daily listening habits? Just curious. Axl Rose is one of the all-time greatest singers in the world. Look it up. His vocal range is insane.
Fun fun times in the 80’s.. it was a great time to be in your 20’s ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥 Great music !!
I’d love for you guys to watch some Michael Jackson! ESPECIALLY his live performances!! I bet y’all would go crazy seeing him on stage! Another great band …HEART the Wilson sisters, Ann Wilson has the best female rock voice ever
