Rammstein always avoids hammering an opinion into your head, they leave it to you to figure it out. I like that openness to interpretation, and mindful people like you always get it on the spot anyway.
With this song in particular it's very ironic how you want to join into this very happy sounding chorus, but when you actually listen to whats being said it might catch you off guard. It's so hyperbolic and over the top that the idea of americanization becomes really apparent.
This is a core trademark of Rammstein, overdoing it to the point that the flaws become visible. Which in this case means that the whole world joins in to sing "Amerika ist wunderbar, Coca-Cola, sometimes war". There also is a certain kind of humor to it, which shows that its not all serious. More like a playful reminder of how much Amerika really influences the world.

"This is not a love song" is a pretty clear message and doesn't leave a lot of room for interprations.

Very nice reaction. Especially that you also go for research for the lyrics. And furthermore because of your political thoughts. Please try the official video from Rammstein "Deutschland". It's about their relationship to germany and furthermore for lots of germans too. In the video and the lyrics are lots of thoughts about nationalism vs. patriotism and is in general a very critical masterpiece against nationalism. Although the video is mostly blocked, you could give your reaction right after watching this.

When we dance I want to lead
When you turn yourself around alone
Let us control you a bit
I'll show you how to walk right
We create a lovely round dance
The freedom plays from all violins
Music comes from the White House
And in front of Paris stands Mickey Mouse

It is an awesome comment by You Marcos especially concerning the end of WW I ! In WW 2 I guess the USA couldnn´t do anything else and we in Germany can be thankful that You destroyed Hitler. And basically the US treated the west of germany very good, more so compared to european countries. But it is important to understand that Rammstein is an EAST german band and many east-Germans are still more critical to the USA than the West. So many Germans share the opinion about the USA with Rammstein but not everything. And Rammstein has stated in the song Links 2,3,4 that they feel poitically left (even they often have been accused falsely to be Nazis because of her style and Tills kind of singing (the style of the whole band and of the singing stems from the slovenian Band Laibach. Rammstein is quoting the song "Geburt einer Nation" by Laibach (which in fact is a version of Queen´s One Vision!) in the song "Rammlied" at Madison Square garden ! Great reaction Bro Go on this way !

Most people think that till speaks like hitler.
Hitler and till both use a kind of "Bühnendeutsch" a posh way of speaking german (that also includes the rolled "R") infront of big crowds (but after WW2 that kinda died Off )

Thank you Marcos! Since you like this song and the message, I can imagine you will have a lot of fun with ( I recommend ) the official video of this song. Nearly everything you said about the lyrics, you will get to see in pictures. Funny, Seriously, HEAVY ;)

      To me it sounds like:
"Oder der Eisbär" - "Or the polar bear"
Probably there was someone wearing a polar bear costume
