@@dust_0151 hi there! yes, however don't buy the cheapest cable, get a better one for a couple extra £. Also, it's very important for your device (that is outputting the signal) to be able to actually send 144hz via mini-DP so check with the manufacturer. Cheers!

Well that's true and also false at the same time, there's newer versions of the HDMI which allows 144 hertz. But with the old HDMI you're totally right, they only accept 120 hertz.
I love the pricing, personally I still want the IPS, for anything OVER 24" (even 24" TN might be to big depending on how far you sit from the monitor..).. but nice to see good Hz finally comes to the avg market, so more people can join in.. please not that the VERY expensive G-sync only is required if your game can guaranteed run at least 144 FPS..
I bought a mouse recently (always played on a stupid office mouse with 125hz polling rate and like 50ms input lag) and boy did that make a difference. Even at the 60fps that my laptop can cough up it made me like twice as good a player. I’m not exaggerating I literally never missed the top of the scoreboard in deathmatch ever since. And in a few weeks I will get myself a proper pc including this monitor. I’m so exited
@@feschber How's your setup performing? There's also a lot of settings you can tweak to get low latency. I remember in Overwatch I had really bad like 30ms latency and that was with a decent USB gaming mouse. I think turning off Triple Buffer and enabling Nvidia FastSync I capped my FPS to 120 but dropped down to like 2-3ms and no more screen tearing. At any rate I just got this BenQ Zowie upgrading from an LG EW224 I've been using for 8 years lmao. Should be sweet.
The reason that you can’t get 144Hz with the HDMI cable is because even the best models of HDMI cables can only support 120Hz at 1080p for 144Hz at 1080p you would need to use either the DVI D port or display port and note if you plug these in via your motherboard you won’t get 144Hz either you would need to plug it into your GPU.

It has Black Equalizer *huge advantage in shooters* It has a software PIVOT that can moddify things in the menu that you open with buttons as well ^_^ It is one of the best!
I bought this monitor back in 2016. I absolutely love it. Yeah it's 'only' 1080p, but 144hz is much more important than 1440p imo. At first the colors will look like they give you aids (especially in the default settings), but after tweaking it a bit I am really enjoying the colors. Sure it is no IPS, but if you really wanted IPS then you wouldn't even be here. I've played many many games with this monitor, and I've never felt like it came short in anything. Colors are fine. Really they are. 144hz is a treat, and the brightness is actually really good. I think I might mummify this monitor as it did me a wonderful service. So for anyone looking for a medium ranged monitor, this is it's king.
@@samuraieditx6419 i fixed them a bit. It's a nice system where you can change the RGB color sets (its easy dont worry). I also changes the contrast. I believe it was too high for my liking when I got it. But fixing it was easily done
Lol.. its super easy... only first step is a little bit hard (you have hard push buttom and on force pull out). Once you take out from this "safety" lock its realy super easy for adjustment.

Had to use a dvi cable for this monitor as I didn't have a suitable hdmi cable. To get 144fps out of it on 1920x1080, you'll need to have a hdmi 1.3 or a higher grade cable.

HDMI doesn't support 144hz in anyway, you need to have a Display Port cable and receiver (the one with a divot on only one side and not both) for anything above 60hz or more than 1080p. It's a universal "issue" if that's what you want to call it, it's really just that Display Port is more advanced. Similarly with TN vs IPS, yes IPS is more color accurate, but is just not competitively viable unless you can justify spending ludicrous amounts of money for a low delay 240hz IPS panel (which defeats the point of a budget 144hz monitor.) It's sort of like saying "is the fact the cheap car can't reach 180 MPH a deal breaker?" But for those who are still wondering, this monitor is a STEAL for the $200 it runs for today. No it's not the least expensive, but it certainly has pretty much every necessary feature for a E-Sports monitor. (Also yes, 144hz is stupidly different than 60hz, and is well worth $400+)

I still have 2 x XL2411 screens and they only allow 144hz through DVI-DL. Giving these a second life is way to expensive a simple DP->DVI-DL converver costs about 140 euros... And i'd need 2 so 280 euros. This is when i decided to buy a Samsung C27JG56QQU 27"/144hz/Freesync screen (twice). i loved Benq, i have a total of 7 24" Benq screens here but nowadays their devices aren't a great value/money. I still use the 144hz screens on my 2nd and 3rd computer but once DVI is gone from GPU's i'm only left with DP-DVI converters or HDMI.

This is the best BenQ 144hz, I own a XL2430 and the gaming center in my city own 10 XL2411. The only con is the fact that doesn't have a S-Switch, keep in mind that you can also save 3 profilo in this monitor like my own.

Just a random guy trying to save you some money and time. I've own this monitor for 3 weeks and I gotta say that this is THE WORST 144Hz monitor on the market and this is coming from someone who gamed on TN panels his entire life. No FreeSync or G-Sync, Garbage colors, worst overdrive implementation, it feels like an overclocked 120hz panel, the input lag on this monitor was trash compared to my old 75Hz ASUS monitor. For the love of God, do not waste your money.

2:50 , HDMI cables only support 120hz, thats why if you want to go 144hz mode, you need to connect it by DP, hope it helped a bit :) .

Btw not only Display Port can handle the 144hz resolution, but the Dvi actualy does too since it's dual link Dvi.

Just bought this monitor from benq refurbished store for 85€ and it's great, I think it's still a good entry level option for 144hz 1080p.

hdmi cant output 144hz but you could try 1440x900 as it i believe can give you 120hz on hdmi.
HDMI version 1.3 and above can output 144 Hz at 1080p.

The Xl2411p comes with Display Port cable which supports 144hz. I got this monitor and I’m beyond satisfied with it.

i have been using this monitor for about 1 1/2 to 2 years and it is great. i will try to upgrade to a 240 hz monitor thought cause my PC is better now.

Just a random guy trying to save you some money and time. I've own this monitor for 3 weeks and I gotta say that this is THE WORST 144Hz monitor on the market and this is coming from someone who gamed on TN panels his entire life.
No FreeSync or G-Sync, Garbage colors, worst overdrive implementation, it feels like an overclocked 120hz panel, the input lag on this monitor was trash compared to my old 75Hz ASUS monitor. For the love of God, do not waste your money.
I was just looking for information about this monitor, and found your video, I was so greatly surprised by the accuracy and grace of your facial expressions and speech, the quality of video and audio. I liked absolutely everything in your video, especially how you show yourself, and I thought "damn, this man must be about 1 million subscribers", but it turned out 6,000, I wish you good luck in developing the channel, you will find your audience 100%

Jimmy tries worlds Matthew Moniz I have the same monitor and I am experiencing problems with it like when I connect my console on the monitor after every 30 seconds the monitor just goes black for 7 seconds an then it turns back on i just hate it when it happens do u have any ways that I can fix this thank you please reply back to me!!?
Who else would love if other companys like asus didn´t have that glossy scratchy plastic but were like the benq monitors?

You can buy an dvi adapter that supports hdmi 2.0 to get that 120hz refresh rate

It's Because Wallpaper engine. you have to buy this engine through steam. cost 2$. lot's of animated wallpapers.. i also use this but i haven't buy it..😉😉😉 ..if you want comment here! 😁👍👍
