Love this song. great reaction bro. This song is about the music industry. They had just broken up with RoadRunner records when they recorded this. This was a song about how they got screwed over in contracts. This time period was dark for all musicians.
I'm a simple man. I see someone reacting to Fear Factory, I hit "like". Great video and I like how you broke it down. Sub'd
It's about selling your soul to a record company.
I discovered this song today and you are the only dude I can find who has reacted to this gem. Thank you!
Drummers name is Raymond Herrera, I'm sure there's plenty of drum cam footage on YT, FF have been around for decades now, Archetype was a kind of come back album after a brief hiatus and some member shuffling, which has plagued the band pretty much since this album came out.
Yesssss one of the best metal drummers of all time. Sad to see him leave FF
@@user-wh6sp6st8s sad to see him being done with music :/
@@novachroma8219 didn't know he was done completely. He was a huge influence on my drumming style.
Gene hoglan sir
@@stashthevampede9480 ahhh.... No, Gene only played on 2010s "Mechanize" and toured with them for a bit.
Raymond Herrera is a amazing drummer!!!!
Good job man.
This was a really interesting fresh take. You definetly hit the nail on the head.
This was such a great album...Sorry Dino!!!
It’s about Selling your soul to Satan for fame and glory ..!
“ a contract with the devil for a life of disdain “
You do well summarising this song. 😮
Drum cam for Necrphagist and Meshugga for bands, for artists by name look up Gene Hoglan, Josh Nassaru Ward whom I personally know (he plays in Xael and Olkoth), and George Kollias. They all are extreme metal drummers who are incredible.
Haha I was happy to hear you immediately say "them drums". That's what absolutely hooked me on this band and album almost 20 years ago. I used to blare this song driving to school when I was a Sophomore in high school lol. Like others have said, this song was basically a giant middle finger to their record label.
As soon as I heard this song... 17 years of metal music(hundreds of metal bands)... They became my instant favorite. It was the perfect metal... Now i didn't put them in my #1 just yet. And then... It happened, I listened to Mechanize. And that was it. Sadly what I think is their last album was just released, and it's good... Not their best. But def good.
all there stuff is great
Fear Factory has been through hell over these decades they have been around since 92 in this album members are original vocals
Burton C Bell original Drummer Raymond Herrera Original bass player switching to guitar Christian Olde Wolbers bass player Byron Stroud
Burton C Bell original vocals quit currently no vocals
4th bass player Tony Campos also parted ways to focus on other band and projects
original and current guitarist Dino Cazares still Standing strong
3rd and Current drummer Mike Heller still in the band
If you think this was fast... Listen to securitron its an older song.
One of my absolute favorites right here. Thanks for the reaction.
Great fuckin song from this album. Makes you want to get shit done
@ What It Do Dave you think this was fast listen to Securitron its an Older song from the Album Obsolete.
SOOO many great ones off this LP, but favorites are either Default Judgment or Human Shields. Either way though, should sit back with a bottle and/or J and play this whole album on through.
