Lyrics: Slave Labor
My chains are paper thin, and they're welded with ink
Sealed inside a legal trap, so tight blood don't leak
A contract with the Devil for a life of disdain
See me in the limelight, an indentured slave
I blame myself
God, help me pour this gas on me
I need to drown in flames to be free
Help me pour this gas on me
Help me pour this gas on me
God help me pour this gas on me
God help me pour this gas on me
God help me pour this gas on me
God help me pour this gas on me
Choke another product for the mass to consume
The flocks of mindless sheep that have been corporately groomed
Ignorance through apathy like drones in the hive
A slave on the prayer wheel in conformed disguise
I blame myself
God, help me pour this gas on me
I need to drown in flames to be free
Help me pour this gas on me
Help me pour this gas on me
I sold my soul (I sold my soul, I sold my soul)
I sold my soul (I sold my soul, I sold my soul)
God, help me pour this gas on me
I need to drown in flames to be free
Help me pour this gas on me
Help me pour this gas on me (God)
God help me pour this gas on me
God help me pour this gas on me
(Ohh God) God help me pour this gas on me
God help me pour this gas on me
(Ohh God) God help me pour this gas on me
God help me pour this gas on me
(Ohh God) God help me pour this gas on me
God help me pour this gas on me

Fuckin love that Album! Criminally underrated!
It really is. They're honestly underrated as a band full stop. You often see folks on UA-cam commenting that "it sounds like x modern band or it's just a copy of y". People don't realise how influential they were in creating this machine gun sound.
Fear Factory is always worth listening to! 🤘😎🤘
This was the first Fear Factory song I heard back in the day and it's still an amazing track. Check out "Drones", "Bite the Hand That Bleeds" and "Human Shields" from the same album.
Same here. I was trying to find out what kinds of metal I liked. I was researching industrial metal and this was the Fear Factory song I chose to listen to. It's weird, the first song I listen to from a band always sticks with me, even if it isn't a banger. I still think Slave Labor is really good song though.
Same back in 2005 at the age of 11 when I was searching Limewire for new mp3 music the band and the song name just for some reason intrigued me so much that I decided to click it and have been a huge fan ever since even have all of their albums in physical format most proud of my Demanufacture reissue vinyl
Drones is a banger
Huge FF fan here. Archetype is easily their best album of the 2000th. I was very curious about the album cause Dino left the band back in the day, but man…the whole album is fantastic and it still kicks azz.
I initially slept on anything FF after Dino left the band and I am kicking myself for having done so. I went and bought all their albums recently (Archetype was an expensive used CD purchase), there are some real gems on their mid career albums!
@@dmphax I was lucky. I saw a commercial for the album where they played part of Cyberwaste and was immediately sold. Had it not been for that ad I probably would have slept on it too.
@@Voorhees_Metal_Productions Cyberwaste is a banger!
Christian really brought it to this album!! This is a great album without Dino being there. Has that classic FF sound you want. Wish one day we can stream it on Spotify.
It is on Spotify, man! Just crank it up 🤘🤘
@@da8171 Not in America as far as I know. They skip over the Christian Era - Goes from Hatefiles (2003) to Mechanize (2010)
It's such a damned powerful song isn't it
I've been watching you guys since your son was a kid. It's awesome to see how far youve both come in this vast world of metal. Keep at it guys! You kick ass!
Thank you!!
Cool song, this is my first time hearing it. I was into the first few Fear Factory albums (through Obsolete) then kinda forgot about them until last year when I checked out Aggression Continuum thanks to a friend's recommendation. I was shocked at how good that album was! I googled this particular song, and apparently it's about them signing a bad record deal that made them feel like slave labor.
AC is a killer album, and the best since Archetype for my money.
So glad to see a channel react to this song. This band and this album in particular is so underrated. This song in particular is about how frustrated they were with the deal they signed with a label, hence the lyrics "I sold my soul". That's why the whole album has such an aggressive tone and is why I love it so much. Archetype is what got me hooked on Fear Factory. Especially the drums throughout the whole album. Raymond Herrera is a beast.
GOD, HELP ME POUR THIS GAS ON ME! I NEED TO DROWN IN FLAMES TO BE FREE!
My favorite song from Fear Factory! Such an energetic monster of a song!
Hell ya!!! My favorite song off this album!!! 🤘🤘
Sempre que oiço esta música, sinto arrepios 🤘🏻
Excelente partilha 🎼👍🏻
Bro wearing a Machine Head T. Like he's never heard Fear Factory 😂
😂😂😂😂😂
Y’all talking about my fav metal band of all! There’s a reason why I pretty much stopped keeping up with new bands since a decade ago coz the sound and feel changed so much coz of a generational divide. Another GenXer here, no apologies.
Empty vision 👍👍👍
Hey guys, there is two new mors principium est songs released.
Thank you for reacting to my fav band of all time!
Whole album is flames
Very cool. I thought exactly the same as Antonio - sweatshop clothing, great minds. Cheers guys !!!
Thanks guys! Feeling shit with COVID currently. Needed to hear this earworm today. It's an interesting track, with an even more interesting back story (I recommend looking into it, but it's basically about how their record label fucked them over).
Get better soon
@@APREACTS gracias! xoxo
I see your son has grown since the last videos I've watched. Keep up the badass reactions
That's his husband
Hey guys✊my big respect from Russia ✊👊this-is GUN, dude 💪🙏
Don't know which album this is from, but I love FF's first one. Clicked with me right away, which happens seldomly.
By the way, as my usual own note: Did you know that Sargeist's name, despite them being from Finland, consists of the two German words Sarg (coffin) and Geist (ghost, but here: spirit) making Sargeist mean Coffin Spirit? The more you know. 🤘
This song is from the album "Archetype". Their first album was "Soul of a New Machine" (which has some absolute bangers, may have to request in another Patreon month!).
LMAO the silence after you said the song name :D
A great Fear Factory song that you'll absolutely never hear live. A shame.
Powerfull song!
I agree with what you say about how metal used to be. I loved 90s heavy musis. I was into Slayer, Sepultura, Biohazard, Fear Factory, Machinehead, Cathedral, Obituary, Carcass, Sick of It All, Grip Inc.,Rollins Band, White Zombie. etc. I struggle to find anything new to like. I'm tired of the hundreds of Death and Black metal bads doing the same thing. I hate deathcore, metalcore, and Djent. I dislike how tons of bands are doing the harsh/clean duel vocals. I'm just feeling done with newer metal.
I grew into an appreciation for Melodic Death Metal after that glorious time during the early to mid 90s. I am finally warming up to some Deathcore (thanks to Lorna Shore mostly).
@@dmphax i checked out Lorna Shore a while ago and I personally don't like them. The only new band I really like is Genocide Pact. Necrot are decent too. They aren't doing anything new, but what they do do checks all the right boxes for me. I grew tired of melodic Death Metal. I used to love Arch Enemy's first 4 albums with Angela.
@@Gregbaltzer LS is definitely not for everyone. I will have to give Genocide Pact a listen!
Classic
You like thick riffs man check out arkaea beneath the shades of grey head banging for days
Hey guys, its-" God help me pour this gas on me" , but You were close😉😁🔥
Very close 😁
Battery Brutal 😬😬😬
What???
@@APREACTS the battery on this album is brutal
@@APREACTS i believe he means the drums are bruthal xD
"Drones", the next track on this album, tears your face off. Love this album, they did a great job without Dino.
Cyber waste is track 2
@@rdg3737 Yeah, I know, this is track one, my comment says "the next track", which is normally track 2
This was a cool album, it was without Dino, who played all the guitars. I think at that point. And the bassist took over and did guitar duties. I was a great album! Dino is the man, but this album is great!
Christian really hauled the mail with this album. He's no where near as talented as Dino but he stayed in the pocket so to speak and did his due diligence making some bangers for FF on this album. The wheels came off the bus embarrassingly bad for Transgression.
Wish they could remake Transgression with better mixing. Still some great songs on that record. Contagion, Empire and 540,000 Degrees are my favs.
