This British singer songwriter has been performing since he was a 17 year old young man, with the British Band "The Spencer Davis Group" in 1966. Steve has so much soul in his voice, and his music. He is a true legend.

The delta blues Steve winwood was on fire in the 80s I believe his 1st album in the 80s back in the high life was the best album of the decade !!!!
This is one of the best musicians and vocalists in rock. I started listening to him when I was in Jr. High and bought the LP Traffic. Winwood then joined forces with Eric Clapton, Ric Greco, and Ginger Baker to form Bind Faith. The guy went on to keep knocking out hits in the 80’s and beyond. Great reaction 🙏

It was 1988....in the middle of hair metal bands and an underground alternative scene bubbling under....here comes the funk! This song brings back so many good memories for me. I was 20 years old and knew everything then. Now I'm old dumber(but wiser). Good review and good luck on boot camp.

Steve Winwood has a long musical history. He joined The Spencer Davis Group when he was 16. Other bands include Blind Faith (with Eric Clapton) and Traffic, each band being very successful. Winwood’s solo career started in the late ‘70s and he still tours. Really looking forward to seeing him again.
The visuals of this video is Stellar...the Sepia tones..the dancers...the live band...just Epic. Winwood at his artistic best...the man can sing his A$$ off. I loved seeing you react to this old favorite, of course you caught the infectious groove but I could tell that you were listening very carefully to the arrangement and really hearing it. The song is more complex than it seems. I love the horns. Just subscribed because you seem to be a naturally gifted musician and I’m sure I’ll find good music through your ears!
