I think a fall coloration of the leaves would’ve fit better with the decay idea; it just depends on what you would want to lean further into. Nature Corrupted by Nurgle? Or Nurgles version of Nature?
Maybe, with the right paint scheme, he could make the leaves appear more akin to lichen and moss, then throw on a few mushrooms, since these are still natural but they play an integral part in decaying of old plant life which makes them incredibly important the cycle of life and death that sustains all plants and natural life
Absolutely awesome as always! I really like Nurgle’s forces and the aesthetic of the Sylvaneth so seeing them combined is awesome! I also really like the painting section of the video, the drybrushed green on the plants adds so much!
Beutiful work as always, I love them! but I do have a question: why choose such a rank and file head? I cant help but feel a HQ unit needs a more stand out mug, even if it's a unique skull or just sculpting something onto it, like a vine ensnaring it or penetrating the eye socket...
Yeah I agree with this - think the head could've had more done to it to make it pop. Different head? Sure. Different colouration? Sure. A glow emanating from the eyes etc.? Sure. Great paint job and conversion, but the head is lacking a bit for me.
One of the demon skulls in the skulls kit could make an amazing deer skull if you pair it with some of the branches from the spare limbs and bodies accumulated by this point
Last video he cut the whole end off before removing the center spline, I assume he did the same here. May help with the correct ratio instead of cutting a side, then the other side, then pulling the spline after. 🤷♂️
I love that umber to purple transition! Been looking for a transition to do some leather tones for some Legion of Everblight I'm working on from Privateer Press and I think I found it! I also love your tarnished bronze technique, that makes its super simple.
Started building/making warhammers again after a 15year break, came across this channel and gotta say what you are doing is fucking amazing. Kitbashing was one of my favorite things as a kid. But this is on a wholenother lvl. Keep doing watchu doing. Learning alot ty sir.
Absolutely love this theme of Sylvaneth you've been working on. I'm debating on taking the plunge into Age of Sigmar and I'm considering Sylvaneth as my faction. Currently play Sisters & Blood Angels I'm 40k so It would be something fresh to work on.
Loving this series, however, I think the leaves on the cloak look too healthy for the corrupted look. Maybe painting them as deader or more autumn-themed may have worked better. Love everything else.
Stunning video, have enjoyed watching you create this army, though for dry brushing have been told of late to use a textured surface so as to remove the excess but not all the moisture to avoid a chalky finish, I've been using cardboard. Cant wait to see the next video in the series.
I really enjoyed watching this one, but can I suggest that you use a textured palette to remove excess paint when dry-brushing instead of tissue paper? It stops you from getting the dreaded chalky finish. Just a thought :)
Pete your imagination knows no bounds and conversions are endless. Really enjoying these. Saw your army on Artis Opus with Byron, who had some commentary ..lolz nice to have some banter between youtuber friends. Looking forward to more kill team and others......Great job in a small time frame
The normally quite serene Warsong revenant looks thoroughly menacing now. Amazing job Pete. Also, can I get the name of the music used throughout? It was very atmospheric and I'd love to have it for D&D
I have watched all of these and I am confused how black brown x olive flesh make its have a blue undertone? I really love the colors you picked for the army and I hope you keep adding onto the army because these are two armies I love and I love seeing them put together.
I'd have appreciated more attention with edge highlights to the leaf veins, as well as a more autumnal shading for the leaf cloak. If the shadowed parts were more of a blotchy burnt sienna/ocher, it could've played into the plant death aspect a little. I know it's not perfectly on color scheme, but I feel if done subtly it could've added to the paint job
i don't mean to nitpick this amazing kitbash and paint job, but wouldn't the leaf cloak be yellow and brown, like decaying autumn leaves? never mind, as i was typing this you mentioned it was an intentional contrast, which makes sense and is a good reason to keep it verdant
The greens I've used were intentional. As I mentioned in the video, Nurgle is not just about decay but also life. The purple tones on the fleshy areas are used to represent this whereas the green represents growth.
hm. First kitbash i dont like. The Warsong Revenant is so perfectly designed with the horn, the "crown" and the flowing movement. Yours look like a skelleton where you cut things of. Good job though.,
The only way to see your Alarielle is in a video from artist opus ( ua-cam.com/video/dmmrsAjknFI/v-deo.html ), when are we gonna see her in your channel?
i love the way you painted you bronze vert de gris, the outcome is stunning!

Perhaps kitbashing a Halo like some of the marine leader units have out of tentacles and/or branches?
Was anybody else a little taken back when he used the whole end of the green stuff?
Last video he cut the whole end off before removing the center spline, I assume he did the same here. May help with the correct ratio instead of cutting a side, then the other side, then pulling the spline after. 🤷♂️
Loving this army so far. Can't wait to see it finished

The model looks superb. This series has been excellent so far you're doing a great job. Can't wait to see what you come up with next. 👍
This is one of the most detailed explanation of such a high quality paint job
Started building/making warhammers again after a 15year break, came across this channel and gotta say what you are doing is fucking amazing. Kitbashing was one of my favorite things as a kid. But this is on a wholenother lvl. Keep doing watchu doing. Learning alot ty sir.
Looks so cool, really inspiring to try and do my own conversions or at least try some alternative colour schemes on models.
Looking forward to your Alarielle conversion. Do you also plan on doing a Treelord conversion at some point? I feel like you'd really enjoy that.
Absolute love how this turned out! I do agree with the others that the guts could have been a little punchier, but the overall effect is still awesome
Can you imagine playing against this army? Absolutely stunning!
This was a pretty badass kitbash! I like to listen to your videos while I kitbash my own army. The vampire coast.
Absolutely love this theme of Sylvaneth you've been working on. I'm debating on taking the plunge into Age of Sigmar and I'm considering Sylvaneth as my faction. Currently play Sisters & Blood Angels I'm 40k so It would be something fresh to work on.

Lovely builds, I'm just about to start a nurgle army thanks for the ideas
1:38 i mean look at that perfect nmm reflection on the glave there... naturally occurring baby!!
Think this looks great! I was really looking forward for your continuation of this series. Totally hyped for Alrielle the Queen of Rot
Would love to see a complete showcase of full converted armies like this one!
What you do is sooo nice to watch! gives me such a pleasure which I havent had in a long time!
seen the full army on artis opus video and its stunning all works so well together. hoping you do a video on your Alarielle model.
The conversion king strikes again.
Stunning video, have enjoyed watching you create this army, though for dry brushing have been told of late to use a textured surface so as to remove the excess but not all the moisture to avoid a chalky finish, I've been using cardboard. Cant wait to see the next video in the series.
One of my favourite kitbashes!

The vibe of this army is so cool
Great work. Great conversion
Dude you gotta have more painting videos, they just as cool as your conversions.
Wow beautifully done
Your skills are untouchable!!!
Stunning as always.
awesome glad you showed more of this great army you did
Have you considered kitbashing/converting a Sons of Malice csm?
Nice work! I was slightly hoping to see some use of the Sloppity Bilepiper. But this probably works better 😂
I love this model!
Amazing job as always! Cheers from France !
This is so awesome well done!!
This series is so much fun :)
Pete, my man, these minis are metal as f***
Super cool.
This is sick!
This is awesome!
I think the rectangular part cut off from the Nurgle banner could’ve been added to the bottom of the staff
The normally quite serene Warsong revenant looks thoroughly menacing now. Amazing job Pete.
Also, can I get the name of the music used throughout? It was very atmospheric and I'd love to have it for D&D
that iron halo in the beginning could you breaking it apart to add more rusted decay from Nurgle's corruption
I have watched all of these and I am confused how black brown x olive flesh make its have a blue undertone? I really love the colors you picked for the army and I hope you keep adding onto the army because these are two armies I love and I love seeing them put together.
Idk why but these really make me think of warcraft
love you're work man!! keep up the great work!!
Love it!!
Your guys remind me of that fungal corpse in the dried up swimming pool in that Natalie Portman movie.
The thing is that a lot of those shootas were probably collected through the old boyz kit.
AWESOME!
Are you still working on this series? I would love to see it completed!
Would love to see a great unclean one made sylvaneth to join the crew
I hope we get to see how you do at the tournament you're bringing these guys too! Will it be recorded somewhere?
It makes me think of the monster from the movie "The Ritual"
...do you think that lucius the eternal would ever get an updated mini? if not, would you be interested?
Will you be making corrupted Wyldwood?
I'd have appreciated more attention with edge highlights to the leaf veins, as well as a more autumnal shading for the leaf cloak. If the shadowed parts were more of a blotchy burnt sienna/ocher, it could've played into the plant death aspect a little. I know it's not perfectly on color scheme, but I feel if done subtly it could've added to the paint job
I was kind of hoping you were going too corrupt the base, something too mimic the feculent gnarlmaw.
Keep it up I really enjoy your videos
Wow! Nasty!
i don't mean to nitpick this amazing kitbash and paint job, but wouldn't the leaf cloak be yellow and brown, like decaying autumn leaves?
never mind, as i was typing this you mentioned it was an intentional contrast, which makes sense and is a good reason to keep it verdant
That is a Bad Ass looking model!
4:00 nice paint under your hand, is it volonteer ?
I'm kinda wondering what you're going to do to poor Alarielle....
Those mushrooms on the base? Where do they come from?
What seasons do you guys think the Chaos lords would be? These are my picks:
Slaanesh: Spring
Tzeeentch: Summer
Nurgle: Fall
Khorne: Winter
i'd say swap slaanesh and tzeentch, spring brings about change and summer is commonly all about fun and pleasure
Man I love this series but I’d have merged khorn with plants as blood makes the grass grow.
Hi Pete what airbrush do you use?
Can we see the current army all together
Swap elariel
with a great unclean one that has long hair
Still not as cursed as the Great Clean One.
@@Bluecho4 i have vivid memories of that
It's a bit of shame you didn't make the guts stand out more
YES ADD MORE ME ! :D
I love you Pete the Wargamer, but your videos are so quiet. Please increase the volume a bit
I normally use plastic glue for my models
I wonder if that would have lessened some of the work load in this Kitbash??? No clue, really
My one critique is that the leaves should've been painted brown or a rotting colour. It looks too alive and healthy for nurgle
The greens I've used were intentional. As I mentioned in the video, Nurgle is not just about decay but also life. The purple tones on the fleshy areas are used to represent this whereas the green represents growth.
Thats awesome. If you dont win best army at the event, you've been robbed!
Unpopular opinion: I feel like The leaves should be textured more like veiny flesh
I’m the 3000th like
hm. First kitbash i dont like. The Warsong Revenant is so perfectly designed with the horn, the "crown" and the flowing movement. Yours look like a skelleton where you cut things of. Good job though.,

It’s all over the place don’t like it
It seems pretty consistent to me.
