The oil wash I saw coming and it worked as fantastic as I expected. But to see how adding just a few small highlights and details changes so much was unexpected from a speedpaint tutorial. I also learned that you can take off oil paints with a dry sponge. Great video.
Thank you. I'm glad you got something from the video. The way I see it, there are two ways you can approach speedpainting.
A. Paint it as fast as you can to get it over with.
B. Paint it as fast as you can to get through the "boring" bits, and then spend the time you save making it really pop with extra attention to details, highlights, etc.
I lean towards the latter usually. Rat Chop is kind of a bit of both.
Bro. I am about to start my miniature painting journey in a few weeks and having an in depth background in Contractor Painting as I work for a Paint company, I have always been confused how the different types of paints used in the hobby cover and of course cure when dried. The idea of putting a miniature with the paint cured on it on the top of the bottle is friggin genius. I will for sure do this to my paint sets upon arrival and as i don’t see any paint swatches than demonstrate a color when it is cured and diluted to different opacities.
I was equally excited when I first saw swatch bottle toppers. The ones I use are Puck the Dragon from Tabletop Foundry. It was an STL file that I 3D printed. I used to prime the caps and paint over them. That worked well too but these show speedpaint better.
@@RabidHobbies Unfortunately I don't have A3D printer yet but if you know of any websites that have these Please hit me up
Super painting! 👏💪
Thank you!
I am so happy that I saw this in my feed. Your techniques and video editing is top notch. Great work and thanks for all the advice!
Glad it was helpful! Thank you. Still figuring out the editing but having a lot of fun.
Beautiful painting 🥰🥰
Thank you!
Great video! I’ve got 120 of the new clanrats to paint this winter, looking forward to using the speed paints as they look very satisfying to use. Thanks for the tutorial
Wonderful! They can be very fun to use. Let me know how it goes. I would love to see how they turn out.
I like the dropper Monument Hobby bottle. Where did you get your caps?

Check out my earlier video here. It's about my bottles.
Nice video. I find the Pro Acryl to be a thinner consistency.. how much do you thin it out for routine painting?
Not much. It is already very thin. Sometimes I use it nearly straight. I usually only thin significantly for airbrushing.
cool beans. thanks
