I recently hit the 100k subscriber milestone so I thought I'd build something a little bigger. I hope you enjoy it!
Me: *switches out 2 parts* I'm a kit basher!
You: "So then I made a Necrofex Colossus"
Good job my guy! :) This was actually amazing! :D
putting this here so that people can see it
a lot of these kits seem like you could make them much cheaper, suggesting alternate options such as 3d printing or other kits would help with that since making this otherwise would be incredibly expensive, balsa wood and terrain techniques would also help
Pete, this model alone makes me want to play AOS. This is incredible
@@Erik-zh7rkthere are no rules for it sadly
"Creative Assembly's so against implementing naval combat that they gave the ships legs."
Who needs ships when you have Zombie Mechas!
I would love for them to add fleets as a new kind of army and for them to flush out trade a little more so you need to patrol your waters during times of war. It would be awesome I think.
The sad thing is they had a really good naval combat system in Napoleon Total War, which was utterly amazing.
Holy shit, no amount of water is putting out that burn.
@Innocent Jogger Oh. That's annoying.
I'm genuinely stunned, this is a masterpiece. GW need to get you on their design team.
Thanks! Although I don't think I've built enough Primaris Lieutenants to join them yet 😉
@@PeteTheWargamer You could design your own Primaris Lieutenants, I`m sure they`d be way better than GW. Just one last thing: Do you have the worlds biggest kit-bashing bits box?
But he copied the design from the game so how this makes any sense? You know people on 'design team' should probably be good at design.. and this was a recreation
( great one and i enjoyed it a lot! But this comment makes no sense)
what could he mean by this
i dont think it works like that.
More Vampire Coast minis would be amazing. This necrofex is amazing!!
I definitely plan on doing more Vampire Coast units.
Long ago, when vampire coast became a thing, they combined zombie and imperial handgunners kits with seran wrap and sold them for the standard kit price.
If I am not wrong there were some Dark Elves pirates in the old warhammer fantasy, but like just some models not a big part of the faction
@@PeteTheWargamer Ideas for the crew: Ghost Archipelago Crew, Frostgrave cultists, Fireforge zombies and Wargames Atlantic Afghans (for the guns). Or on the smaller side: Mantic zombies/ghouls and Perry Afghans.
The Warlord colonial militia men might come in handy, too.
I miss Warhammer Fantasy.
i showed my dad the final model, and without him seeing anything but the fully painted colossus, he was able to name every kit that you bought and used.
That's really impressive!
@@HeleentheArcane i was also very impressed
@@Tzar-TZdoes your dad make Warhammer 40k models?
@@the_explorer4600 no
@Tzar-TZ i mean, he certainly knows a thing or two about age of sigmar
Holy shit dude. Your artistic vision and model know how are so incredible
Thank you very much :D
Hands down, that is amongst the top 5 pieces of kitbashing work I've ever seen!
Thanks, I'm glad to hear that you liked it :D
@@PeteTheWargamer do you have an email account? Because in Etsy I found some really cool third-party models that could easily be fit for the Vampire Coast (among other races and factions).
This is genuinely top 5 conversions I’ve seen amazing job what a badass model can’t wait to see more
Thank you very much :D
Crazy idea for you. Combine a Mega-Gargant and a Chaos Knight to make some sort of chaos ab-human knight for 40k. Have cannons strapped under his arms, a massive chainsword or power fist. A big steampunky backpack to power everything with extra weapons stuck on. Armour plates strapped to his limbs and a knight type helmet. Cables weaving in and out of its skin! Just an idea!
Feed the algorithm. This was an irresponsibly expensive kit bash. Dude deserves some scratch to cover the hole he threw his money into.
Yea. While he was putting it together I was staring in horror at the sheer cost of that model. But like a trainwreck, i couldn't look away.
Thats not really the exact cost though.
There is a large amount of spare parts left over to either keep or sell.
So on the surface it looks expensive, but you can recover a fair bit of it.
Ironically it is also still cheaper than a mega gargant to build.
Holy crap this one was well worth the wait! Now you just need a Count Noctilus to ride him into battle
I definitely have ideas for that guy, don't worry.
Aaaaah Aaaaah Aaaaaaaaaah The blood runs cold! 🎼
We take our loot and don't get old🎼
ALL HAIL THE MIGHTY
HE'S A RISIN FROM THE DEEP
WITH TATTERED SAILS AND INCREDIBLE TAILS
WE'RE CAUGHT IN ENDLESS SEAS
Could you please try converting other units from the Vampire Coast? I absolutely love this series!
I second this comment.
I do plan on doing a few more, especially with the new Zombie kit coming out at some point!
I want to see one of those giant crab things!
I feel like it would be easier to do with parts from the current Zombie kit and the discontinued Empire Free Company Militia kit.
Why are Mondays always so good for warhammer!
Especially with the new Vampire Hunter duo revealed today!
I never want to see you working for Games Workshop. Your creativity would only be stifled there. And the community would suffer from not seeing your creations come to life like they do here. Thank you sir for these videos. And a very well done job.
This model basically IS dead bits + pinned parts. Truly a peak of Pete the Wargamer's conversions.
As someone else mentioned, it also involved green stuff made by mixing the blue and yellow halves and leaving the middle part alone to avoid a gritty texture 😉
Wow, what a seriously impressive conversion. It looks fantastic and has such presence. What a Goliath, great!
Thanks! I'd love to build a Vampire Count army around this guy.
You seem very passionate about this one
I've had plans for this guy for a looong time.
This. Is. Epic.
I don't play AoS but I loved this, the skill involved is so impressive.
Thanks Pete!
This is one of the best models I have ever seen Pete be proud of this because people dream of stuff like this
Thank you 😊
this is by far the best conversion slash kitbash ive ever seen! i am seriously thinking of doing the exact same thing, but that will be quite pricey!
That thing is horrifyingly beautiful.
This is absolutely stunning definitely your best kitbash to date can’t wait to see more
This is absolutely incredible! I am blown away by how perfectly it came out!
this is the kind of model that gives me the need to start kitbashing. You did an amazing work Pete
By far the best kitbash you've done on this channel. Absolutely superb bud!
Kinda cool that all the random parts fit together so well. Nice job!
Truly awe inspiring work.
To have the vision and skill to build this is a rare gift.
So awesome!!!!! so glad you didn't give up on it. the detail is just insane and so are the colors!!!
So. Cool. These kitbashes are the only Warhammer content I'm watching these days.
That's a lot of work for something you can't even use on the tabletop....and I am 100% here for it. You did an amazing job on the conversion.
I kept things in scale with the mega gargant to use it as a proxy. I think most people would be happy to accept that rule set for it.
I love you consistency... for complete disregard for your appendages and digits.
Fastest click in the west!
Oh wow this is just incredible! Honestly so blown away by how incredible this build looks- massively well down
That turned out... AMAAAAZING man. Well done! Glad you stuck with it!
Put this into a competition! Masterful work, Pete!
That's the plan! Once they start up again I hope to enter it into Golden Daemon.
Honestly Pete you’ve really outdone yourself this time, that is truly epic!! I’d love to see some conversions/making of larger models like this, cracking work and really enjoyable content to watch!! Congrats on 100k too!
Quite the project. Obviously you are very passionate to the hobby. Thanks for the video.
I would love to see Tomb Kings constructs being converted, there are some many you can choose from Tomb Scorpion, Bone Giants, Ushabtis, Hierotitan, Necrosphinx etc!
It's a really shame that TK got phased out, some of their bigger models looked great.
@@PeteTheWargamer how about proxying them with the Bonereapers? They are basically Tomb Kings 2.0 imho
Genuinely don’t know how you don’t have more subscribers - an incredible conversion AND your step by step process makes for a fantastic video. One of the best videos I’ve seen in ages. Love it.
Super happy that you finished! It is an amazing conversion. Great job!!!!
Me too!
Incredible work. I'm glad you stuck with it even when it got frustrating; the end result looks well worth the effort.
This is one of the best kitbashes that I’ve ever seen. Amazing!
Looks fantastic, glad you persevered!
You did such a great job. I always get excited when I turn on my phone and see a notification saying that you uploaded. Love your work!!
Thank you, and I'm glad to hear that you enjoy watching my latest videos 😁
This is a thing of beauty! I'm glad you didn't give up!
This is the kind of modelling content I love to see. Great Work, I await each and every one of your videos like a season finale. Keep it up and big love onto you.
Oh my god this is awesome!
Well done on another great conversion video and I'm so pleased you didn't abandon this project.
I think it was the scale of it that overwhelmed me. I've never converted anything so big and as extensively. But, I too am glad that I finished it off!
One word: Insane
Haha, thanks!
I've wanted to make one of these for so long - this is just the kick I needed to build one for my Necrarchs!
The scope and scale of this is astounding ! Great job !
Thanks!
This is mind blowing! The idea is crazy ambitious and the execution is flawless. Really good job!
Glad you liked it!
That is astonishing. You've really done a good job on giving the shambling assemblage a decent set of proportions.
Flip this is amazing!!!! I dont know how you did it and yet I watched the whole video showing how you did it! It's crazy good!
Absolutely amazing work dude! That looks awesome, super imposing and creepy 👍🏻
This is incredible, a dream come true to see this in model form
I've been so excited for this, and it didn't disappoint at all. Your model is FANTASTIC! It would be really cool to see you make one of those crab monsters the Vampire Coast has.
Id love to see some more night lord content
absolutely amazing. as someone who regularly play warhammer fantasy with a vampire counts army, this made me happy
Easily your most ambitious kitbash yet! Well worth the hard work. Fantastic work Pete! 🙌
This is definitely my most ambitious project, it will probably be a while until I do something as big again 😂
Holy moly that is a amazing model
I love it, and the paint job... brilliant
I am gobsmacked. That is amazing work. Kudos to you.
Absolutely exquisite. Your dedication and hard work on this channel is a great inspiration to many of us who are relatively new to the hobby. This is probably your most impressive model that you have kitbashed that I have seen. Keep up the excellent work.
That's very nice of you to say. If my videos just get people to try out some simple kitbashing then I'm happy :D
This is absolutely incredible!
Maybe to keep with the vampire coast theme, you could do a rotting leviathan or with some of the skaven bits you could make a warlord on bonebreaker
What an amazing project, congratulations on finishing it!
Thanks! It was touch and a go for bit but I'm glad that I stuck with it
This is so clever! You should be very proud of yourself. Thanks for sharing.
Amazing kitbash, one of the best i’ve seen. Keep up the great work.
I'd just like to say: I don't play Warhammer and I've never made any of these kits, but your artistic talent is absolutely incredible. These videos are so zen and watching you work, listening to your detailed description, and seeing the final product is absolutely amazing. Thank you for sharing this with us.
This is absolutely incredible. Well done mate. I can see how this would have been incredibly daunting and would make you want to throw in the towel at one point, but the finished model is nothing short of perfection.
Watching your older videos until now you're clearly pushing your level higher and higher and its amazing to see. You're truly an inspiration to me and my conversions.
Would like to see you tackle something this size/scale roughly for 40k, perhaps some kind of dreadnought or tau/eldar walker, not sure. Just not orks because I think those tend to be a bit too forgiving with their ramshackle style haha.
This is truly an epic kit-bash.
dude thats awsome, so glad you didnt give up on it, i know the feeling with models and heavy conversions somtimes. it can get very tedious and tiring.
absolutely awesome, seriously amazing piece mate, pls keep them coming
Once you shown off the painted version I nearly lost it. Glad you didn’t give up, this is truly badass.
Not just a great conversion, you actually improved on the design from the game. It's so much cleaner and cooler looking
So cool! Happy you didn't give up ❤️
Huzzah! I’ve been waiting for this for a while and it was worth it! Awesome work!
Absolutely stunning
Thank you! Cheers!
Insanely well done
Bravo! This looks amazing!
Looks amazing matey. Definitely one of the best I've seen
Thank you! Cheers!
wow, absolutely stunning!
Holy cow that is amazing work! I always wondered what a necrofex would look on the table and man would I buy one. Would love to see you tackle some of the lords and revamp them to more modern glory! Great work overall, loving all the conversions!
I was waiting for this video. Great work mate as always
Glad you enjoyed it!
Wow! Amazing work, as always!
Very nice model but I think what ties it together is the great paintjob. It came out amazingly in the end🤩
This is super dupe. Serious skill and creativity going into this piece. Pretty blown away by it. Great work.
Bloody hell Pete, that's beyond incredible!
Thank you very much :D
that is utterly amazing
This is really cool to see I actually tried to convert one warhammer fantasy giant size way back when monsterous arcanum came out.
Oh man, this turned out fricken awesome looking!
I'm glad to hear that you liked it :D
Absolutely brilliant. Your videos inspire me with my own hobby goals. Thanks so much for sharing.
You're very much welcome 😊
This was amazing, Pete! Great job. Been working on some flayed ones based on inspiration from your video myself.
I have no idea what this thing is, but it's one of the coolest customs ever!
This looks amazing!
It's a really beautiful build. When I get around to it I'll definitely follow this guide.
Although it'll need a more square base for me at the end...
Love your conversions and kitbashing!! Its really an amazing and passionet work!!
Thank you, I'm glad to hear that you enjoy them :D
You've got a perfect place for a hero on the main deck of that ship. I'd love to see a Vampire Captain or Admiral to go up there!
Glad you stuck w/it. Very enjoyable
Me too!
