Hey Scott did U know there is a slight problem with your audio in this video? Did you? I bet you didn’t! And I bet nobody will be brave enough to tell you!
New set looks dope, edits always the best and always (somehow) getting better. GOAT.
🤣 Poor Scott! I agree though, this video was amazing
Totally not toxic. Turns out the Minipainting family is just another circlejerk.
@@eXileLies lol what?
It seems like it is the heating or ventilation in his new studio. Its prolly blowing into the mic.
@@eXileLies pretty sure Jeremy (black magic craft) was being sarcastic. He was making a joke about the # of people who will tell Scott something is wrong with the audio.
This feels more like a paid course rather than a free UA-cam video! Thank you for sharing, especially the mounting process - now I have to go and try it myself
You'd absolutely crush a bust, Simon. Can't wait to see you give it a go!!
@@Miniac what colors did you use for the shirt? (the greens)
All my favorite painters commenting on my favorite painter....i am in chromatic heaven
Love the increased production value, I appreciate the graphics to visualize where you're placing highlights and how you blend them
It seems with every video gets a higher quality and more maturity on the part of this gentleman. His voice is so soothing it's like a calm River. Lol
Holy crap, the new set looks incredible and the intro was amazing. I'm 100% here for the new era of Scott the Miniature Maniac!
Scott man, I just wanted to pop in and say thank you. Your channel has been an incredible asset for me on my painting journey. I am still very much amateur but I strive to challenge myself with a new technique every time I pick up the brush and I have your example to thank for that. My kid and I saw your minis on display at Source and we both had a fan boy moment about it. "Woah, Miniac is a real guy?!" - My kid.
Keep up the kick ass work my man, you seem like a very esteemable man, we are all blessed for having people like you in the world, and even more blessed to have people like you who share their talent and passion the way you do.
This looks fantastic, and I'm really glad to see the makeup tutorials getting their shout! Something that I would like to see in the future is how you apply these techniques to other variations of character, like a vampire character, a person of color, an ORC! How would you apply makeup tutorial information to green or dark elf type skin?
Thank you for sharing the videos, it's always the highlight of my week whenever I see you pop up on my feed.
Inspiring as always! I have an old "not-Tywin-Lannister" bust and you make me want to dig it out from the pile of shame!
“How to BUST out an awesome paint job” Incredible quality and excellent descriptions. Definitely feels like a paid course, rather than a free UA-cam video. Thank you for sharing!
I like how the stippling to blend the layers on the coat adds the fabric texture, well done!
Jeez dude, will you stop editing your videos like a mad god?? this was pure joy to watch, congrats!
You can also 3D print plinth and bust with hole in correct diameter, which is much cheaper than buying physical models and with STL you can adjust size to your preference.
The new sets are amazing, the new chilled tone is awesome and the this being more like a tutorial rather than a discussion was super inspiring. I have always felt like busts were WAY above me, but Im (scarily) keen to give a bust a go now. Thanks Scott!
Okay Scott, I see you. Putting the industry on notice with this new setup and videography.
Woah. Miniac production quality is always top-notch, but this one really shines! +1 Jon Bucks (TM) for picking a novel, interesting bust and +1 for the systematic explanation of your process, which makes it easy to understand and replicate. I am pumped to crush some busts. Thanks Scott!
GOD DAMN IT SCOTT WE MISS YOU
i wish i knew enough about color theory to pull this off, my brain just cant wrap the concept of using these wild colors to come up with tan skin color. the talent is insane
Thank you for sheriff your knowledge on this subject. I'm starting to paint miniatures, and this video has been very helpful. Have been building and airbrushing model kits (cars, military, and Gundam) for 30 years. Wanted to make a change of gears and do something different. Miniature painting has been a thing that I wanted to do for quite some time. Now, this video will give me a better idea of how to do this. Thanks again!!!!!
He finally came back, when we needed him most
I definitely like the new feel of this video. Showing the glazing icon on the screen and a counter are amazing. I would like to see you remaster all your old “how to paint (method)” in this style.
That set looks amazing
Finally the best mini painter on YT is back. I was getting tired of watching people who use only Army Painter and Citadel paints.
Hey Scott - Pro tip from a carpenter to drill straight by hand.
Firstly, drill guides are available on Amazon for a tenner. They're just machined blocks you run the drill bit through, very helpful.
Second (free) option is to put a ring on your drill bit. Drill from the side rather than top down. The ring hangs on the drill bit and shows you if your wobble off centre. Looking down you can check for yaw, and the ring will indicate error in pitch.
Another great video. I really wanna try getting into busts. Need to find a good supplier in the UK!
Great advice and thank you! I should have thought of the drill guide as I have one for drilling dowel joinery that might work well.
@@Miniac No worries! Thanks for all the epic content!
Just a heads up: there's a constant, low-freq hum to your dialogue. Tons of possible reasons why, but fixing it might be as simple as adding high-pass filter in your editing software! Good luck!
Great video as always, Miniac!
I noticed it too. It almost sounds like a fan blowing on the mic whenever he is talking. It's not there when there is no dialogue.
Sounds like generic room noise, like air moving through large duct works in an office building. Sampling the room noise should allow him to isolate and dampen those frequencies. Or, he could determine their volume and use a noise gate to prevent his audio recorder/editing software from even detecting it based on its volume.
It does sound like the room isn't fully sound treated yet, but I'm not a fanatic about that. Unfortunately, room noise can still exist even with treatment.
Yes, I noticed it too.
Maybe lower the sound effect for the numbering in future videos, for someone who is auditory its a bit jarring. Great production value overall. The hun I’m sure will get sorted. Thank you Scott. Great info and you are killing it.
I've started painting more busts and feel more confident doing so, thanks man
I'm glad I watched the GW NDA video first, because now I know that you really don't need them to make great videos. Looking forward to further videos by you!
Love the new studio look. Video looks so great and really high production. Glad to see the chalk board back to help explain concepts and the animations were all incredibly helpful. So excited for all the videos to come. I’m inspired to go paint a bust now!
How the hell was this free. Insane level of quality. Good lord.
Well shown!
One of the best produced videos. The Picture in Picture of the parts of the face, while painting the face was incredible. This video was incredibly informative and helpful.
Your timing is impeccable, I've had a bust waiting to be painted for some weeks now since I wanted to give it a try, butt I was waiting for the kolinsky sable brushes to arrive, they arrived last week, now this video has been released, I have everything I need now!
The production quality of this video is next level!
It goes without saying the video was highly informative and helpful, but you keep killing it with the editing, presentation, and style. This was well worth the wait, great work Scott!
The new studio looks great! Super excited to see the new content that will come from it. Keep up the great work man
Painting busts is beautiful. If the scale is bigger I always recommend the most easist trick: Take a bigger brush! Happy Painting to you, Scott!
Love the new set look!
Hey Scott, just wanted to say as a professional shooter/editor I’ve always appreciated your production value but this is next level. Really nice set, great shots, great pacing in your edit, and just great attention to detail overall!
Your new setup looks great on camera, Scott! It's great to see you painting again. Love this video!
Love the softness of the transitions. Thanks for sharing this.
Great video! I got one of the Squidmar busts from the Kickstarter when I first started painting. I just recently put it on the plinth to get started. I also just got my first Lucas Pina bust. This video was perfect timing
I really really appreciate the pacing of your videos. It allows me to actually understand what's going on. Thank you very much for helping make the hobby fun!
Brilliant video loads of tips, thanks heaps.
Welcome back ! Great job
Absolutely in love with your style of videos, keep up the great work Scott!
loving this style of video. more more more. thanks for creating this. Can't wait to apply all this to the wood elf mini soon.....
This is a great video Scott, i love the way you explain things, this has given me confidence to try a human bust this time after having just done an Orc bust as my first one. Thank you!
The new studio looks awesome! Great to see you arrive in your new mini-home!
That's a lovely sculpt and a fantastic paint job as always!
Sounding really calm and poised as usual, keep up the great content!
I painted my first bust for my dad for his birthday this year and immediately got addicted. It might just be that it felt different from your average D&D model but I had so much fun, I am definitely going to paint some more.
Looks like the new set is really working for you! Face painting section was very helpful - combo of larger model, watching layers go on, and graphics to aid explanation helped the process click for me.
Brilliant to see you painting online again, great job! ☺️👍
Awesome! I've been looking forward to this video and it still exceeds expectations! Thanks Scott!
New setup looks great. It's amazing how far your channel has come in the last few years.
Fantastic! Great new format and so informative thank you dude!
Really seeing an increase in your craft overall. You are an inspiration
Its been a looooong time! Glad your back!! Nice vid m8, lime the way u explain things. Looking forward to ur next vid.
I don't know what is more impressive. How each new video of yours is my new favorite or your continued excellent taste in band merch! 🤘🤘🤘
Whoa, this is literally a how-to! Friggin' excellent!
I actually ended up getting the Scarecrow, and the Oz models from Mindwork Games cus of your Chef video. They make some fantastic looking models.
Absolutely awesome!
This is such a high-inzany level of content. Your new setup, seems like you also upped the camera work. Thank you very much!
This is how you start a monday! Marvelous video as always papa Scott!
That CD collection mount is legit!
Scott, that fan sneaking into your mic needs some attention :)
I agree!!
Really awesome and useful video, can't wait to use these tips!
Awesome video!
Oh hi Scott, Can't wait to paint the trio!
What a beautiful new office, I like it, but you will have to soundproof your studio to fix the rumbling audio in the background, but great video nonetheless!
Finally!!! I've been starving for a Miniac video. You are doing great work!
You are the man, thanks Scott.
Very nice video and work, really enjoyed the material and nice touch with the Man Flesh sound effect. Thanks for sharing.
Man, the quality of your videos keeps going up. I am still impressed by what you do after years!
Always good to see you uploading. Editing is top notch.
Well this video was certainly worth the wait! so good!
Top-tier production value, Scott! Very great work!
Great video and great shirt! Vulf is amazing!
Hey Scott. Dropping in to tell you how awesome your videos have become. I love the production value and the editing is stellar! Thanks for all the great vids Scott!
Love the video you just made my week!
Incredible work man. Dat lotr bust tho oooft, Id never considered a bust until I seen that.
cool setup bro!
SCOOOOOOT you wonderful specimen! Moved to the new space... insta upgrade to the video quality of idk 5times :) This is just TOP TOP TIER, it was top tier before. Amazing cam work, so much movement that creates interest! GOD LIKE!
I *love* the Mindwork games models, really pleased to see you take a stab at another one!
Great stuff friend 👏 👍
I literally thought the heart you free handed was a transfer when I first saw this painted bust. Great job as always Scott, your video productions is top-notch!
This was like a movie! great editing and cinematography
I just started my first bust yesterday this is perfect ty
I am absolutely so gosh darn happy that you know the rocketeer. It genuinely made me tear up a little. But now I have to go get that model too, after I finish painting their Oz model, and paint him up to look like the Rocketeer got a sci-fi sequel 👀
Informative as always, I feel like I can never get enough tips on doing faces!
The little Sepultura in the back is a nice touch too
Hot damn your production quality is getting out of this world, well done Scott! Looking forward to the next one =]
I was fully paying attention until question 1, then my brain went all "HEEELLLLL YEAH TESTAMENT BRO!!!!!"
Loving this more technical take on painting, not that airbrushing is a crutch, It's just such a different skill set.
Great Vid Scot!
I was actually shocked by how little info there was on plinths when I started painting busts. This sir was a quality video
Scott crying all the way to the algorithm bank with everyone commenting about the sound
I think I might just quit the rest of UA-cam and only watch Scott. Literally the only content actually worth watching. Such great production value, quality information, videography, writing, tempo. Oh and painting. 11 out of 10 would watch again.
Video quaility is great! And wow, your art is incredible, so much so it deserves an *ominous rumble!*
All jokes aside, glad to see the move has gone well! Hope all is working out for you
The dremel drill press/workstation works great and doesn't cost all that much.
I just bought my first bust, this video is exactly what I needed! The hum is killing me a bit but I'm sure you will fix it in the next video.
Speculah, felt like I was home for a hot minute.
Watching you for years now. Really enjoying the Scott Style videos rather than the Chase the Algorithm videos!
great video, looking to see how you were able to stack your paints on your shelves. been looking to update my studio with similar shelving to spread out my paints. Teach me master jedi.
