Buying and old house. They painted the entire house original hardwood floors with brown paint.

Thats too bad but a professional company should be able to sand the paint off.. I would hire a professional to remove the paint with sanding machines. call 4 companies to get quotes, but only 2 of them will usually follow up. They should do a decent job. Have them fish the floor with a few coats of satin finish, not glossy. Congratulations on your new home !

You are pushing it into the grain wash the floor whatever she washes it with and I will come right up or wrap a putty knife and a paper towel or cloth finally scraped those areas with a damp cloth
