I have grind lines like that in my Kabar USMC and D2 Extreme. I really like them regardless. I need to get some Becker Knives and Ontario’s in the collection. Good stuff Timbo! I like the all.👊👌

I do like my Beckers 14 fix blades and 2 folders to date. Ontario knives I do not have, I do like that RD9.

The RD9 is very similar to the BK9. Not much difference, but for some reason, it doesn't chop quite as good as the BK9. It's not to far off now that I laid the edge back a little though. Pretty close all in all.

Biggest comparison, the RD6 and RD9 are 1/4" 5160 mid-carbon spring steel and the BK9 is 3/16" 1095 CroVan. But the biggest complaint from me is that the RD6, RD7, RD9 and RD Tanto are all non-skeletonized handle tang. The BK7 and BK9 have stupid skeletonized handles. I say stupid because I have seen the BK9 break at that weak point. For the life of me I don't understand why they think removing material from the handle of a hard use tool was a good idea. And I don't want to hear the b.s. response that it saves weight. I mean, go to the gym and lift heavy weights like I do if it's "too heavy" for you. The weight "saved" by removing material is so negligible anyway. I actually contacted Kabar to see if they would please offer a non-skeletonized BK9 version and they said no. So the RD9 it is for me all the way. Besides, I did a chopping comparison and the RD9 was way more comfortable than the BK9 which kept slipping out of my hands even with tacky leather gloves. But I also put TKC G10 orange scales on my RD6, RD7, RD9 and RD Tanto.
