I was at g3 03 and Yngwies set blew everyone’s away. Mostly just him on stage solo, I wish he’d do that again. His overly loud stage sound I saw recently was horrible. Ruined the rest of it cuz it literally hurt to be in the room lol. He just needs a delay pedal and no band and I’m in

@@benjaminaxselholmRudy Sarzo called him the funniest guy he'd worked with. He also said Yngwie had the worst reputation, but that he was a sweetheart. Truly professional, truly inspiring. A great guy.
I believe Yngwie has many sides to him but was always aware of the need of an image to be a rock star "larger than life". The drugs and youth let his narcissistic traits (of which the vast majority of populace have some selection/combination) get somewhat out of hand but by the 2000's he'd gotten his head and heart clearer also because of his family.
He is not a narcissist like Diamond Dave, Gene Simmons etc.
I think the real Yngwie at home has a lot of sides his image can't reveal. It's likely he even protects himself through his public persona.
Maybe he is hard to get a hold of because he has a stronger need of privacy than one would expect. Very extrovert in one context and very introvert or private in another.
I think there is more than meets the eye. But he's gotta be funny guy since there is people testifying so.
