Game of the year 2020, and again in 2021 with the Director’s Cut on PS5. In fact, the game is absolute perfection and is firmly in my list of best games of all time.
I like that it's a love letter to a type of cinema that has come off so sincere that Tsushima made them Official Tourism Ambassadors. You can't get higher praise than that, imho.
Working on platinum for the fourth time. This game is everything I always wanted in a video game. The sights, the soundtrack, the combat, the feel, the graphics, everything about this game is what I expect from every game developer. The love that went into this game was insane. One of the best games of all time, easily!

I’ve had the pleasure of picking this up on steam today. Can confirm, this is one the best video games of all time. To think this studio went from Sly Cooper franchise (the best in that genre) and then to GHOST OF TSUSHIMA ?!?!?! Mind blown
I might been late to the party just started playing this few days ago and currently on Act: 2 without watching any walkthrough. All I could say is this is probably one of the best games created from this decade. The music, scenery, colours, the cultural immersion of Japan and the brilliant variety of things to do ingame without making it too dragging. Absolute masterpiece! I don't understand why this didn't win GOTY.
They did a good job with this game. Such a wonderful experience. I love it. The music. The tone. The world. Everything about it feels straight out of a samurai movie. It is great. Play it now.
I hope there will be a sequel because this one is a game inspired by real events We hope that there will be a sequel where there is a new character with new enemies, where there was another invasion and a much bigger one where the Chinese also attacked together with the Mongols and other enemies.
They need to patch Jin's comments on Jogaku mountain. Hearing "It's cold. I need warmth. Getting colder" 100 times during that climb gets annoying. With that said, I absolutely love this game. Played it earlier this year and going through for a platinum on Director's Cut atm. Still loving it.
Coming at ya in 2022 and now we have another samurai game for those who don't have Playstation, Trek to Yomi. It's 2.5D and the combat isn't as complex but it's something. Out now on PS4/5, Xbox One/Series X/Series S and PC!

Incredible game in terms of art direction, world-design, immersive atmosphere, gameplay execution and narrative presentation, but I did have considerable issues with how it romanticses the samurai from an historical perspective and uses Kurosawa as cinematic inspiration without really tackling the same social themes in similar depth. As for the so-called 'Director's Cut', I just don't want to pay another £25 for very minor technical upgrades from the free PS5 update and a relatively small expansion. £10-15 would have been reasonable.
