I cared about characters in RDR2 if you didn't invest in talking to them I recommend you to try. The nights we drink and sing together were like a dream for example.
I think you should give Red Dead another chance, imo it’s the greatest game ever made in terms of narrative and immersion, no other experience has been able to top that.
I have played every game on this list except The Last of Us and The Witcher 3 (Never played Zelda either). At the start you were talking greatly about gameplay to story harmony but towards the end it seemed like you were going a bit away from it. Edith Finch is an amazing game no doubt about it. I loved it so much but personally it didn't have all that impressive gameplay compared to the story. Some points I got a little bored from so much walking. Though it does help with having text about lore coming up a lot. Now if were talking about a game that is entirely about how much it has impacted me, then I would say Life is strange would easily take the cake for me. It may not be too impressive gameplay wise but it felt about the same as Edith Finch. I played every Life is Strange game and Edith Finch in one month and the order that they impact me from most to least impacted would be (Life is Strange 1, 2, 3 and then Edith finch). I haven't finished the newest Life is Strange yet. So personally I would recommend Life is Strange over What Remains of Edith Finch as the game that everyone should experience once. On another level, if Elden Ring is too hard to recommend, then I would say Ghost of Tsushima would be a pretty good recommendation. Very similar but a lot easier and much more story driven. P.S. Amazing video by the way! If you keep it up like this then you could make a living out of this! P.P.S. If you're reading this, what other Souls/Soulsbourne games have you played? I just finished Demon souls Remake yesterday making it only Bloodborne left for me. Sekiro was extremely fun too!
Thank you for your comment. I guess you are right. I went away from the point I want to make a little. I'm new to this and still learning. I played Life is Strange and LF Before the storm. I loved them greatly. But Edith Finch impacted me more than anything. I played Ds series and Elden Ring. Sekiro and Bloodborne are on my backlog. If you like to see what I played, my Backloggd profile is Lemmyster
6:50 you can do all of that in red dead online. However all the other things that you said are very cool, and might be good ideas for a potential red dead 3. Red dead 2 was a game that was made to be a story driven game, so the character customization and the whole « create your own gang » thing wouldve taken away from the plot. Though i do agree the plot can feel a bit dull and repetitive sometimes, half of it is hidden in camp dialogues

The two mentions I would add to this list are Bioshock and Baulder's Gate 3, both are etched as the greatest games I've ever played.
How strange that I just finished playing What Remains two hours before I came across this video. Life is indeed strange. Good job on the video!
That's very strange
Your voice and your details on every game are awesome. Waiting for your upcoming videos.👍

Thank you. I'm new to this and still learning.
