I have been taking care of a plant at my office for almost two years now and have not really looked into what it was. It was on its way to the afterlife when I started working reception there. After a whole lot of love and regular care I can gladly and confidently say the Chinese Evergreen in our waiting room is now healthier than ever! It’s got new growth constantly and it is just a beautiful plant! Your videos always come at the perfect time! I love how informative and vibrant you are! Thank you for everything you do on this channel!
For Ross, (in case he explores more pinky Aglaonemas) I find the darker pinks more robust than the very pale pink ones. I just find the very pale pink ones are a bit more sensitive to watering.
That greyhound is amazing! Oh, Claire I wish I could take you to shop aglonemas here in Indonesia, there are just too many varieties to choose from. From the greenish ones, to the colorful ones, you're gonna love it! 😂😂
The further I get into this planty life, the more I identify the species that bring me joy. 🥰🥰🥰Aglaonema🥰🥰 is towards the top of my list. I was so afraid a first because of my niblbing kitty. She likes spider plants & palms.
A bit late to the show but I received my Aglaonema "crete" today and I just can't stop looking at it. I am a huge fan of these plants too. My other favourites are peperomia with so many varieties to collect.
Aglaonema Siam Aurora was one of the first plants I ordered to be shipped to me. I was convinced that the whole box would be delivered dead. Nope, all the plants were fine. My Aglaonema Siam Aurora is still alive and well. She’s a very slow grower but hasn’t missed a beat. I love her colors. I put her in PON in May and transitioned without any issues.
My Aglaonema Pictus Tricolor has been growing in pon for about 6 months, and it’s doing super. I will soon have to transfer it to a larger pot. I hope yours will take off with group now that you have transferred it to pon.🤞🏽
You are so right that Aglaonemas are best positioned below eye height where you need to look down at them rather than up to them, to really appreciate them
I love aglonemas too! I have one called "miss Juliette", a red valentine and a siam aurora. I want to someday get a silver bay too. I hope Ross likes his. It's beautiful. Enjoy all of yours.🌱🪴🌿
I just want to thank you for truly introducing me to agleonema!! I've always ignored them because they are to much for me colour wise, but I've fallen in love with the green and silver type, since watching this I have added 4 of those to my collection..... there aren't a huge variety of the green silver ones where I live in New Zealand.
Aglaonemas are fantastic. My favourites are Matcha Lemon and Lemon Mint. I have just ordered Orange Flame. I love your collection. Thank you for this video.
I love my white edge Aglaonema and my golden Madonna Aglaonema. The white edge is so elegant with it’s dark green leaves and the white edges and stems. The golden madonna is just like your tigeress but when the light shines through the leaves. They have a lovely golden hue.
I am currently obsessed with aglonema. My suksum jaipung is a showstopper literally. Its on my balcony and people actually stop and stare at that plant. I guess they are mesmerised by the big red leaves. Just recently got super white and tricolor. Now I want hello kitty aglonema as well. Yes it's so under rated. It's beauty and variety is unmatched to the point it almost looks fake.
Hi Claire. I love the “Fireworks” you bought for Ross. I wish now that I had chosen that one instead of the “Red Valentine” which I’ve now owned for about 6 months. It’s more pink than red but I still love it and find myself checking on it just about every day. There were actually two plants in the pot so of course I potted them up separately and now have double the joy. Thanks for sharing your Aglaonema collection with us, they are stunning plants.
One of The Best Aglaonema plant videos ever! Love all your Aglaonemas with a special shout out for the Firecracker Aglaonema you gifted to Ross. So many beauties! Thank you! 👌🪴🥰
Aglaonema’s are one of my favorites too. I’ve got the cutlass, spring snow, Mary Ann, and my favorite is the Chocolate. They are so easy, and just beautiful.
Aglaonemas are SO lovely and such a pleasure to grow!! I’m obsessed with all of yours, esp the Silver Queen and the Tigress 😍😍 I will need to add those to my collection now 🥰💚
I have killed a couple also! The pink variety. I am kind of shocked so many people say they are easy to care for. Our water is softened so I switched to reverse osmosis water for my plants and so far haven’t killed the two I have left.
I agree, Aglaonema are very cool. Do be careful taking pests immunity for granted with them, I did the same and my Amazon Silver was one of a few losses to spider mites recently. Interestingly, it was next to my Peacock Feather and White Stem Cutlass which were both unaffected x
Hey Claire, that’s naughty I’ve just ordered a Aglaonema 'Silver Blue' from grow tropicals 🤣 I’ve had for sometime a Aglaonema 'Cutlass' and you are right it’s been so easy with no pests, touch wood 😊
I've got two of those after you introduced them one being the cutlass, from your earlier videos. Sadly one got mealy bugs mainly because it was in a prime spot opposite the garden patio doors where I do a lot of garden pruning and drag the garden waste past ... a few times regularly brushing past the indoor plants. So I'm doing a regular treatment but she's still looking gorgeous and you've inspired me to give them a better, more prime locations
Hi Claire, Your Aglaonemas look so beautiful!!! Having been grown so much in offices and shopping malls, have turned a lot of people off these plants due to association, which is sad. I have a few Aglaonemas and love that they are very low maintenance and can fill those dark spots in the house. Propagation is so easy too. Cut a stem off at the node and put in soil. I love all the varieties you own!!!! 💚💚💚
I totally agree with your statement regarding aglaonema - I absolutely love these plants. And like you never found pests and its just the easiest plants (if you’re not an overwaterer…) I’ve had my silverbay for 2 years now and only had about 4-5 yellowing leaves, so gotta say that silverbay is my favorite and it’s a Big plant
Aglaonema are so hardy. I've almost killed them so many times from underwatering but just throw them in a glass of water and they grow new roots in no time. I also love the range of colors and patterns you can get.
Hi Claire & all the planty people! LOVE your new pretties! If I may I have 3 questions! I brought home a 5" potted Nobel that once I got it home I thought possibly (and was right) had a sign of thrips. I chopped it down to a couple healthy baby leaves, washed off the top of the soil, neemed it all down, and put in a yellow sticky and THEN put a 12" clear garden cloche over it with the vents closed. It seems happy, the only other plant in the room is an Oxalis SO, 1. Does anyone else quarantine with plastic garden cloches? 2. Do you all think I will manage to keep the thrips from spreading all over my home or is it not worth the risk? And 3, How long do you all think I will need to keep up my routine and have Baby Nobel live in it's "bubble"? I'm excited to see it grow up large!
One of my first plants was a Siam. Its leaves are solid green with pink edges, and pink stems. I can only take a touch of pink. I have a cutlass that I rehabed from a store. I think it went bone dry, then it was flooded with water. I had never seen such rotten roots. My second attempt was to put it in a no drainage vase with pumice. I have 2 others; one came from Home Depot with no name. It has those white stems that I love. Then another is solid green with white specks, maybe named blizzard, or it should be. May need a yellow one next. I do love them alot, but sometimes wish they grew a bit faster. Also, like you said they have to be placed no higher than eye level to appreciate them because they do have a number of prominent stems.
I need but need to find room😂 I can sit around for hours and just look at my plants I have 17 in the house and several succulents and cacti outside Such an amazing hobby thank you for all the fun and informative videos😊
I want them all too!!! They will be the long enduring plants that live with us to the end! So excited for this video to see what ones you have! Love from MN
Love to find other planty people from MN! I'm currently living in Oklahoma for school, but I'm from MN and all of my friends and family are still there as well. ❤
@@justinamontgomery2618 it depends on where I end up getting a job after school, but I think I will end up back in MN at some point for sure. I'm from the twin cities area.
Bought an extreme root bound aglo. New pot and he grew 10 times the size in 12 months. So today i had to saw through the roots. I now have 11 aglos. And have about 6 rooting in water. Its a tigress. While many of my plants have succumbed to spider mites, these havent so im hoping aglo will survive the chop. Happy planting everyone
Just ordered an aglaonema super white off an etsy starter plant seller. I chose that one because of the brightness it brings to a room. I havent seen these really anywhere and im wondering if its a really difficult one because of that.. Anything very white in color has a hard time living because of the little green in it but we will see!
My tastes run more like Ross'. More is more. haha. Just as a general rule, I'm more drawn to ovate leafed plants and do not shy away from color. When I first got back into collecting plants, I bought an Ag Red Valentine. That one really got me going on Aglaonemas. I now have nine in my home and two at my office. It's hard to pick a favorite, but maybe my Ag Pink Princess. Dark green and white with just the subtlest pink blush. The two at the office are on a ledge of my workspace and I catch people checking to see if they are real quite frequently. I do think they are underrated and underappreciated, but I love them!
I laid in bed this morning...looking at my plants...that are growing insanely well...& thought...oh no. My studio apartment does not have room for more bc where oh where will I put these plants...1-2...3 years from now when they'remassive..I have 1 wall that faces east window that has approximately 60+plants in it(about 15 -2" starters for granddaughters booth @ craft show in November)...How on earth can I get more...I think a bunch more grow lights are in my studio's future😂...sending 🫶 from Sandy Pond NY on Lake Ontario
thanks for the video!! i’m obsessed with these plants. my partner is the same with colourful plants, says i have too much green. he’s come back before with a new plant for me and it’s the most colourful thing he could find 😅
The Aglaonema Sumatra Chocolate is on my wishlist & recently got the Etta Rose which you might like (softer pink/peach than Ross prefers). Ur "Zebra Feathers" is very similar to what is called Aglaonema Rice here in the states. Super low maintenance even compared to my other Aglaonema.
Love the necklace. Bad timing as just asked for other small business jewelry brand for my upcoming birthday (only buy real jewelry 1-2x a year), but will keep this new company on radar for next time.
Thanks for another great video. I LOVE aglaonema! I have a couple and they are stunning; my aglaonema juliette is in a south facing window and she has been flowering all summer, but my golden madonna started bleaching and curling in an east facing window, so who knows 🤷♀. Your cutlass is so beautiful and has inspired me to add one to my collection.
I absolutely love aglaonemas. They have been one of my favorites ever since i got house plants in my current home. I have 6 right now and another one coming in the mail this next week. :) I have the diamond bay, which grows wider and has such leathery leaves you just want to touch them. I also have the golden bay which has yellow stems and grow more upright than the diamond bay. I have the aglaonema ghost frosted which i think is one of the most beautiful ever. (I can only say that because I am not saying it out loud. LOL. I always think the plants might hear that.) I have one that i got from Lowes that I dont know the name of it, but it is gorgeous. I also have the golden madonna and the super white which i got from planterina. I get most of mine from planterina. Can't wait till they get some of them on there again. Some were bought so quickly that i didnt get a chance to buy one.
I've actually been thinking of adding some aglaonemas to my collection; I currently only have the pictum tricolor. I'm sort of getting away from climbing plants like philodendrons, and instead opting for bushier plants and aglaonemas are perfect for this. I just added several of the ones you showed to my list! If you get a chance, check out Aglaonema Spilt Milk; it's by far the coolest one ever and definitely a wishlist plant of mine.
Hi i have 5 of them 2 are greenish and 3 are with colors .their easy to care but here in Egypt there aren't a lot of them i love the ones you show us anyway thanks and ienjoy your video❤
I was wondering and waiting for you to show me a non green aglonema. They are susceptible to root rot if over watered in my experience. I buy aglonemas to add color to my collection. If you trust my experience, red ones need tons of bright indirect light for good growth.
Hi Claire! I watch your videos from Kyiv, and after watching one of your latest videos I've ordered aglaonema cutlass. Just because I loved this plant once I saw it on your shelf 😊 and you know what - now I need them all))
I had a horrible experience ordering from grow tropicals :( after watching this video I ordered some aglaonemas and a begonia ferrox and all came damaged... But the begonia ferrox was particularly depressing. All brown and leaves popping off left and right. Was almost easier to find a happy leaf since there's seldom any. Hoping it'll survive but definitely not worth the price I paid. I emailed them and hoping to get an answer soon but was wondering if anyone's experienced anything like this ? I've ordered from HOUSEPLANTS UK in the past and the state of the plants and shipping was incomparably better. I don't get how I got plants in the state I did and then all the ones in here are prime specimens... They were even sadder than back of the clearance rack garden centre plants. I was so excited to receive them too :(
Found a golden bay I think is what it is today for half off so yup it cane home with me lol 😂 it's my 1st aglo but after as many hoise plants I own I never bought one lol I'm going to move my bop and trade places because my bop has outgrown the plant stand so this IL take its place quite nicely next to the prince of orange it will look stunning with the color difference
I vote for Zebra Feathers and Fireworks! I noticed you’re rooting Calithea in water. Do you have a out about Calitheas? Love your place, so many windows! Now I have to go find Zebra Feathers, 💖🇺🇸😎
Hello, love your channel. Loved this video Chinese evergreen is my favorite plant genus. I also love arrowhead plants would love to see a video on them.
Aglonema always reminds me of the movie Leon 😄 I really love how hardy they are, rarely get brown spots or pests like you said. The only downsize for me is that I feel like they take a lot of space with their growth pattern and unfortunately I don't have much free space atm :/
agreed, so underrated! I think everyone just sees them as grandma plants. Oh well, more for me ☺️ no honestly I shouldn’t. I have 3 already and over 100 plants so this is NOT a good video for me to watch, you did try to warn in the caption 🤣
❤!!! Thank you so much for this video! I am in love with agleonemas! They are fantastic!!! Oh, I don’t know why, but a dear friend of mine gifted me an Agleonema Pictum Tricolor! It is so beautiful! The camo pattern is so pretty. nature painting on leaves. ❤️💚🌱
I just got 4 different types in one pot. They're tiny little babies the leaves are about the size of a dime!! They were doing good at first but then i accidentally put them in too bright of light so the leaves shriveled up... so I moved it to lower light and it got happy and the leaves opened up but then i accidentally let the soil dry out and the leaves shriveled again 3 days later... are they usually this sensitive?? I got a prayer plant baby at the same time and it's thriving 😅
Holzkern @SusanneGarvens... Hi Clair, 'Holzkern' sounds GERMAN.... I googled and it's a company from Austria.... I don't have an Aglaonema yet, but they look beautiful and the fact that they are so easy to care for makes them a 'must have'.... Kind regards, Susanne

I 100% agree. I ❤ aglonema!! Their leaves have wonderful patterns and you never have to worry about them loosing that beautiful variegation

You've sold me on them 😊, good to hear they do well in low light👍 I do well with Calathea so looking forward to getting some asap😊
I love the cutlass! I'll definitely buy one very soon
LOVE all of these! What substrate do you recommend for aglaonema's please? :)
Loved the update on your ag collection and the haul! I added the white lance and greyhound to my wishlist 🎉🎉🎉
hi , lately I fell madly in love with Aglaoneme, please tell me where you buy them , a website , thank you
I've actually been thinking of adding some aglaonemas to my collection; I currently only have the pictum tricolor.
Love your passion for plants…I am the same. Now buying (more!) plants!
That is Beautiful... Red leaves
Holzkern
I love your videos! Binge watching so many now
I was wondering and waiting for you to show me a non green aglonema. They are susceptible to root rot if over watered in my experience. I buy aglonemas to add color to my collection. If you trust my experience, red ones need tons of bright indirect light for good growth.
I looooove this fact addition!
Hi Claire! I watch your videos from Kyiv, and after watching one of your latest videos I've ordered aglaonema cutlass. Just because I loved this plant once I saw it on your shelf 😊 and you know what - now I need them all))
agloanema starbucks its so beautiful
I’ve been trying to hunt down a Cutlass since the last video you featured it in! 😍
I was so excited to receive them too :(
My Aglaonema 'crete flame' and 'Maria', love your videos
You are awesome on knowledge. It has helped me.
I have no aglaonema yet but I want one so bad. I love all of the varieties
Beautiful plants!!!
Do you have an etsy or similar where you sell cuttings of plants?
OMGGGG Where did you get the window hanging boxes??? I could use those so bad. At 12:57
Youve maybe mentioned it before but I've missed it. But where are your bedroom window boxes from?
I will definetly bye one now 😂❤ love them!
Hello, love your channel. Loved this video Chinese evergreen is my favorite plant genus. I also love arrowhead plants would love to see a video on them.
Aglonema always reminds me of the movie Leon 😄
I really love how hardy they are, rarely get brown spots or pests like you said.
The only downsize for me is that I feel like they take a lot of space with their growth pattern and unfortunately I don't have much free space atm :/
Yes, Leon ❤ i believe it was Stripes
agreed, so underrated! I think everyone just sees them as grandma plants. Oh well, more for me ☺️ no honestly I shouldn’t. I have 3 already and over 100 plants so this is NOT a good video for me to watch, you did try to warn in the caption 🤣
Just got a stripes - she’s beautiful. I have my eye on a silver Queen and also a silver bay at work too 🩶
Definitely Aglaonema addict now😬😬😂😂❤️
Love the zebra feathers!
I googled
and it's a company from Austria....
I don't have an Aglaonema yet, but they look beautiful and the fact that they are so easy to care for makes them a 'must have'.... Kind regards, Susanne
What pon do you use. I have several plants that I think would do well but really would like a recommendation.
What kind of soil do you keep your aglaonemas in ?
