Love your videos, full of information. I travelled to BKK 2 weeks ago. Thailand pass was definitely a process, but everything from Test and go, T Pass, immigration, Visa etc went very smoothly. As long as you don't rush paperwork for the last minute, you will be fine.

I will fly to Thailand from Vancouver and will arrive on May 4, 2022. I haven't applied for the Thailand Pass. The new policy, no requirement for PCR test when arrival and SHA+++ hotel, has just been released. However, the registration of new entry measures will be opened from April 29, 2022 onwards. Can I get my Thailand pass before I depart on May 3, 2022 at Vancouver if I apply for the pass on April 29, 2022? If it does not work, when would you suggest I apply for the Thailand pass under the new policy?

Ichecked the price of AXA insurance for 30 days. I did not expect them to show the new rates yet, since the new plan does not go into effect until May 1. But the quoted price was 3,919 baht, for $20,000 coverage. They managed to raise the price so that when the new coverage is $10,000 they might drop the cost a little, but still will be more because they keep moving the starting line. Petrol companies do similar tricks.
Has anyone purchased a policy with them, or looked into one, and what were the prices you saw?

This time the news are specially good for me, as I have booked the flight for May 2nd to come to Thailand. There is now one question, may be interesting for others too: I have got the Thailand Pass already, the hotel booking included. Can I cancel this hotel booking without lose the validity of the Thailand Pass? (Following the contract cancellation is still possible). Thank you for your help.

I'm flying to Thailand on 25 April. I applied for the Thailand Pass on 14 April & and received approval after just 8 hours. With the lessening of entry restrictions, there may be an increase in applications, so it is probably best to apply several days before travel.

Sawasdee kap Teya. Pls I have a question for Thai Pass: my flight from my country in Europe to BKK it is not a direct fly but I have a transit in DOHA. When I fill the form on step 2 with the details of arrival I will use the flight number from Doha to Bkk. But wich country of departure I have to fill in the form: my country in Europe (but it is noto a directory flight) or Qatar because the flight to Bkk start from Qatar? thanks in advanced for supporto and kind reply!

For the travel insurance, it required the test, so practically, you will still need to get the test and a get a negative test result, did I interpret this correctly?

They don't require you to show the test and doing the test on the plane must get a permission from the airline. You better ask them

What happens if you are vaccinated parents who travel with kids under 12 who are not vaccinated. Do the kids still have to do tests, or do they have the same rules as vaccinated adults.

The Thailand pass is nothing compared to being required to book an overpriced, non refundable hotel and transportation, have a swab stuck up your nose and then have to wait in a room for the results which may end up being 10 or more (expensive) days if positive.
Scrap Thailand pass and many more come.
We are budget travellers, Me and few of my friends. Seeing other options for tourism as of now. We plan to travel tourism first time ever. But this process is not easier like two years back. Not happy with insurance and pass. Hope things change soon. Looking for good old days without passess and insurance 🙏🙏🙏

You don't have to. It's not mandatory no more in May

You don't have to reapply Thailand Pass when you already have QR Code

Yes, do it as normal. You can cancel the hotel you booked. Please watch my vid again as I explained very clear about what you need to aware about the hotel.
Keep the pass, can’t see any problem with it - you only need to show full vaccination and insurance proof 🙏🇬🇧😊

the insurance is a tricky one, I have read others have been ok with whatever they have chosen, but I have heard from thai forums that its the Thai Axa is the preferred one and I would imagine despite being no doubt more expensive is another tick in the right box for a quicker and more successful turnaround

The main sticking point is that your insurance must specifically state that it includes treatment for Covid 19 for the minimum required amount.
