You should contact the embassy since those foreigners (whom not tourists) having business, houses, families or spouses in Thailand are allowed to go with state quarantine or alternative state quarantine. They would allocate the date and time and procedures for you.

They have denied us a Visa extension and said to make our way back to USA...I would have fought this but have been gone from USA for almost a year and need to get to a wedding that has already been postponed once due to the pandemic...just hoping to be able to return in the next year or so...no worries hopefully! I think Thailand gov't is quite liking their time in the spotlight of being a covid -free haven. Considering the political issues and the economic hardship, it's only a matter of time till the decision is probably made for the country and they will open up. I welcome the program because I think if it's successful then it's a gateway into more tourism in the winter months (hopefully).

I'm in California and if I wasn't working, I would take them up on it! Staying for 90 days before you need to renew your visa would be fantastic. I'd head to Chiang Mai after finishing my quarantine.

I guess it’s one thing Thailand having a plan in place, but another seeing how many are willing to visit the country. 2 weeks quarantine is still a long time to be stuck in a hotel. That being said I’m sure if Thailand offered this then neighbor states will be quick to offer similar and reopen the backpacker trail and see people flocking in!

I've spent the last 9 winters in Thailand and although the extended Visa sounds great the 2 week quarantine would drive me mad, so i am just going to watch and wait and hope things improve.

As a country with 20% of GDP comes from tourism industry, Thailand is so needing tourists both long-term and short-term right now. Many islands in South of Thailand now look so deserted and so quiet. I can't even imagine Thailand without tourists for one more year, that would be devastating!
I saw one of your videos. Thank God somebody went for Korean food where their bill was 1,000 Baht. I was so sick of cheap street food for 60 Baht. Nice variety and you covered a lot of more expensive options too. Great job! There is a wide range, in Bangkok and most people don’t know this because of all the UA-camrs only eating street food.
