I made this yesterday for my husband & I. I followed your directions precisely. I couldn't believe how good it was!! Better than the restaurants I've been to! Thank you so much Seongyoung Unnie :) I also couldn't believe how much the water evaporated over the course of 2 hours haha. I thought I was going to have more broth! Hahaha. Definitely recommend this to anyone! A tip I have for everyone is be sure to really wash the blanched meat well and to really get as much oil as you can possibly get out of it. I will post a instagram photo tagging you in it later today ^.^
Don't know how I lived without this for so long! I make dog food for 2 of our dogs ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxG-7WiT7ocumjytOpHDFt632PL0pxXRAg (we have 5!) and it is so much quicker in this. Love having the inner pot stainless so I can use my immersion blender right in it without worrying about scratching. It makes potatoes great and fast! Still working on the vegetables, first time came out great, second time I did different ones and they were a little too mushy. Just need to adjust the time. I highly recommend this pot!!!
Love your recipes. I always hesitate to try any new recipes because I know that I could never use all of the ingredients (especially sauces). Your recipes are simple yet appetizing. Thank you.
OMGOODNESS Thank You!!! This was Delicious!!!! Sometimes beef dishes aren’t my favorite because they can be really heavy. The broth was light and flavorful, the beef was so tender and soft and the radish WAS DELICIOUS!! I ate mine with rice (not because I don’t like those noodles) but because RICE IS LIFE!! Lol
You know, im moving out soon and ive never had a youtuber where i am making so many recipes from. Im favoriting most of your recipes and this is another one! I binge watched most of your videos and i cant wait to cook in my kitchen and recreate your recipes!!!
Browning the tips before boiling them for the 2 hours would have taken this out of the stratosphere!!!! You are an absolutely beautiful woman and I would be honored to have a bite of anything you cooked!
This is literally my fave soup! I order the one with the Napa cabbage and I ask for it spicy. Delightful! Thank you Seonkyoung for sharing this recipe! 🙏🏾
Seonkyoung, your soups always look so fabulous. I swear I could live on soup. Do you know a good Sinigang recipe? I would be so so SO excited and grateful to see one from you! Xoxo
Sinigang recipe: 1-1.5kg pork ribs, string beans, spinach, 2-3 Taro, 3 -4 pcs of green chili/pepper, 1 medium size onion, salt, crushed black peppercorn, raw tamarind , you can buy sinigang mix in any asian store for tamarind substitute. Cut the ribs about 1/12 inc or 2, wash, boil with water till tender, remove the dirt or whatever you call it inbetween( don't put too much water, just right above the ribs) or pressure cook up to 30mins, set aside the ribs then strain the soup to make it cleaner, put the meat back to pan with the soup, salt to taste, pinch of black pepper, 3 taro ( you can cut it half) then the string beans, give it 3 mins thenn add the sinigang mix, green chilli then finally the spinach Word of advise:::: put half a couple of table spponnif sinigang mix and add more to desired taste (tanginess or soury like)
Making this right now. Can't wait. Love all the foods you make. Haven't had a bad dish yet. Thank you and Jacob for Asain food at home. Can't get enough!
@Club Soda I'm a Filipino married to an American man. We've been married for 13 years and he hates every single Filipino food lol. The only Asian food he'll eat is American style Chinese and Japanese food. So damn frustrating bc we cook two different meals every single day.
Looking so yummy, and indeed that soup is so yummy i've tasted it when i visited Korea last February. (Anyway your life in Korea episode helps me a lot, and i did enjoy my stay in Korea) your the cutest couple ever!!!
Please do a video on "galbitang instant pot." Love all of your soups, especially galbitang. If able to cook them in instant pot will be very helpful. Thank you
During my home confinement, I’ve been cooking a lot more than normal. I can’t wait to cook this. Thank you so much for your knowledge and sharing. I appreciate it.
Does it matter if the beef short ribs are cut thick? because the only kinds I can find in the chinese asian store are thinly sliced short ribs with the bone still attached...so pretty much the same thing but thin. Does that make a difference? Also, can I boil the broth on high and then put it in my thermal cooker to let it cook by itself?
You need the thick one because sort of like pho, you need the bones to create the broth's main flavor. Try checking out a korean market. It's expensive, just a heads up lol. Also, I cooked my soup the way she did it, but I think it honestly wouldn't be a problem if you did that with your thermal cooker. But since it's your first time, it will be hard for you to compare. I think it's best to do it the original way first, then try your own methods.
Thankyou so much for all your great recipes!! I have tried quite a few of them on my family now, even if it takes three months to order certain products online pretty much directly from Korea so worth it, however I do have an addiction to red pepper paste I use that like ketchup 🤣
You look so pretty with your hair and makeup in this video! You're so funny how you edited the tasting part with the music and the little floating bubbles, lol.. Like it was magical. This looks so good though, I'm gonna try this :)
This looks amazing!! I am going to attempt to make it as one of the dishes for my bf when he returns home from his deployment ^_^ You are the best! You look beautiful as always too!
Hi seonkyoung, I made this today. Its good but one take I have is that we should be careful about the amount of the fish sauce, easy to over power the broth
Hi Seongkyoung...I enjoy watching you and cook some of your food. just wonder what kind of bowl is that? is that the one for Bibimbap as well. Do they sell that on Amazon
+Seonkyoung Longest
Short and sweet, no drama, not chatty talk, easy to follow, and you are a doll!

try to find a store that has the short ribs in slabs so they can cut it to the proper thickness.
I will definitely try this
