Good, I transformed US FLC Vest to "weekly hiking vest" with 2x (triple M4 pouches for front-sides) + 2x (1x Quart canteen pouches for 2x liter water) + 1x back waist pouches for energy bars (4 hours hiking if needed). It is very comfortable to hike without too much sweat on my back and very payload-balanced during hike/jump/run always.
I've been wanting to use an FLC as an 'adventure vest' ever since I realized that the MOLLE straps on the front of the FILBE assault pack aren't really suitable attachment points for mag pouches and the like. Would give me quick access to my phone, knife, headlamp, and other gear without having to take off my pack. Not sure if I'm wandering into stolen valor territory by decking myself out in a bunch of tactical gear to go on a bike ride or run, so I've kept it to just the assault pack for now. If only civilian companies could match milsurp's durability and affordability...
@@VentureSurplus I use a FLC at my job maintaining hotel rooms. With various MOLLE pouches, I can wear some of my small tools/parts, etc, instead of having to carry them. Has worn like iron for years!
Exact weight spec unknown but it was designed to carry a full combat load out - 6 fully loaded 30 round AR mags, two full canteens, IFAK, 2 grenades, accessory pouches, etc. - do the math. Machine gunners carried their much heavier loads with these too. If I had to guess: 25 - 40 lbs. If not going into combat - you can configure these anyway you desire - that's the MOLLE concept.
I just got one of these & everyone says it adjusts to fit all body sizes. I'm 5'11 with a 29" waist and cannot get the waist belt anywhere near small enough. Any thoughts ?? This was going to be for a shotty load out so a tight fit would be preferred.

That sounds like a great setup and use for it!

@@Pellagrah Sure, looks good. Thanks.
I put 2 of the M60 pouches on mine and also a butt pack off the belt and used a separate 3L/100oz hydration pack when hunting.
Damn I haven't seen an LBV in a minute, for short time we had those in the Corps, fantastic on a flat range.
200 saw pouch on the back with 2 water bottles for weight balancing
that be pretty nice to make a cheap Construction fishing or hiking vest
They do! We have had users make them into vests for those exact uses.

But is it Good to Go?
so how do you adjust the vest for different sizes. I can't zip mine up
Mine doesn't, I assume it's one sized. His looks like it does in the back, but I have an old gen ugly ACU vest so mine could be different
Very cool
Spartsmansguide has these on sale in acu for 12$ I'm going to get one or 2
We've got them for $7.99 if you don't mind them being a little rougher :)
SPG only seems cheap until they hit you with their shipping charges lol
