      This is Wisconsin, and the people of both this state and Minnesota have a long reputation for politeness and decorum, and the judge is really the personification of that stereotype. It’s not that there’s never any displays of courtroom anger and rancor here in Wisconsin, because we aren’t immune, but you would have to look long and hard to find trials where there are ridiculous shenanigans

  • @lisadunn1138
    @lisadunn1138 2 роки тому +160

    I think this is what takes this crime to a whole different level. I know I could shoot someone if it was to save my children for example. But although I'm medically trained, I've seen surgery, I've seen post mortems, I even did some criminal psychology work at university and I've witnessed a murder. But I absolutely could not cut up a human being. I simply couldn't do it. I don't understand how you could do that to a complete stranger let alone, like in this case, to parents who have been nothing but caring. If you can do something like this there is something very wrong with you. It's really difficult physically to do this! His mum and dad were not small people. The amount of time and effort that he would have needed to do this! That's what I find so shocking. Losing your temper and killing a person in the heat of the moment is so different than planning to kill and take apart a person who loved you. He sat and worked out how to do this, went to a store and purchased various items to help in the process. All while looking totally normal. When you think it can't get any worse he put their heads on his family fireplace! He sat there watching! The smell!! This guy is another level wrong.

    • @shelliea4621
      @shelliea4621 2 роки тому +54

      Yes! Yes! Yes! I said the same thing! How could he cut apart his parents? His loving, doting mother! It's beyond barbaric! He had to cut both heads off & 4 arms & 4 legs then separate them & lift the torsos & limbs & load em up then unload & carry to dispose of them in different places. I couldn't do it to a complete stranger for a billion dollars cash! I couldn't cut off someone's finger. Once you get to the bone...well... Its not like a cooked chicken. Raw human bone... never mind. And I can't with the heads. I was nauseous for days after hearing a few of the fireplace details. At first I wondered why he did that to them after he killed them & I'm assuming that it's because he didn't want the bodies identified if they were eventually found. Another thing that I can't get over is that after killing his dad, he text his mom & had her stop & get him a soda on her way home to be murdered. After he text her to get him a soda, (knowing that he was gonna kill her when she got home) she sweetly replied "I can do that. :)" How ruthless! He took their lives & it was all for nothing. He lost his girlfriend, his family, his friends, his future & his freedom. I hope that it ALL haunts him every minute for the rest of his life.
