It is a predator 212 with jetted carb, 22# valve springs, racing header with flow through muffler, 8° timing advance. It’s been a lot of fun. Thanks for watching!
Yesterday, mine was cutting out at full throttle too. I checked the spark plug, it looked good. I was low on gas, and the filter sits pretty high in the tank. I'm hoping it was just sucking air? I added a splash of Heet to the gas in case there is some water. What size engine are you using? Mine is a 14 horse, but it's tippy because of the size.
@@allergictoasphalt11 LOL, found my answer!!! I have the 6.5 ass well, same air filter upgrade and I up jetted the carb. Had it stall on me once , same as you, but it started up shortly after sitting for a minute. thought it may have been the low oil sensor,...i have the tank vented....not sure what happened....gotta get mine to rip like yours. maybe im not getting all my rpms,...come to michigan and help me!!!
@@damonromero5396 My fuel problem was the tank wasn't venting. The right gear ratio is required to get full rpms out of the engine. On my earlier videos I didn't have enough gear and the engine couldn't get full rpms. Right now I'm at about 6:1 total gear ratio.
@@allergictoasphalt11 You might be right. I went bigger because I'm climbing mountain roads with heavy trapping gear. Most folks use the smaller engines and it seems to be plenty. I think mine is too big.
Nice build! Thanks for sharing. Suspected fart at 2:19 !🤭
Just saw this video. I’m 58 and that looks fun as hell!! Take care my friend.
Thanks, you too!
Like the videos.. but at 2:20 you straight rip ass haha !! My son thought it was me when we were watching !! Haha
Oh wow! that’s crazy. Hopefully it was just the 5gal bucket I was sitting on. Thanks for watching!
Now stick a 6.5hp or larger Predator motor on there with a beefed up carb and straight pipe. It should melt the snow ! Have fun !!

@@allergictoasphalt11 Is that the 212cc ? If so, go to the Predator 6.6 224cc and tweek it. I should have been more specific on engine size.
@@Charles53412 ahh yes I have yet to experience the new engine.

Mine is a 6.5 Hp. It turned out I didn’t have proper ventilation to the gas tank and it was creating a vacuum not getting fuel.
@@allergictoasphalt11 That's what it acts like. I wonder if my vent line got ice in it?

run a bit of dry gas in the tank , 1 oz per tank .
Nice work man it’s looking good. Do you think a 14 hp would be way to big and heavy??
Mine is a 14horse, and it's tippy because of the engine size. It does work really well though.
It might be more engine than you need. This is just a 6.5 and it’s plenty enough engine.

Sounds good thanks gentlemen, definitely easier to find torque converter kits for the 6.5 hp then the 14hp.
@@Canadianduke23 with big loads I feel like you will run out of traction before you run out of power.
What do you have for a sprocket on your jack shaft?
From the torque converter it’s 10t to 30t and the factory gearbox is like 21t to 39t
It’s basically perfect the way it is. I have a 12t coming for the TC. I’m going to see how fast I can go.
how to calculate the final / total gear ratio based on the numbers above? thanks@@allergictoasphalt11
Do you guys take the governor out or disable it?
Yes this governor is removed
It looks so damn fun! How deep is the snow?
I’ve never been so excited to go 23mph lol. It’s about a 18” of fresh powder in the deepest spots.
@@allergictoasphalt11 Oh! It's a lot of snow. Have fun!
@@jimmymunkholm definitely will. Waiting on some new sprockets and we’re gonna take it to the lake and set some land speed speed records.

@@allergictoasphalt11 There is no upper jackshaft on the JD splitfire. I can put my own there. Did you have 21/39 in your gearbox?
Rompin it!
Hoping the wind dies down one day next week so I can play with the drone n get some action shots.
I believe a 12 will slow u down some, what was ur gear ratio to reach 22
I’m at like 8:1 right now.
