The 57-58 Chrysler 300 is my absolute favorite car of the 1950s. One of the most gorgeous cars ever produced by any manufacturer at any time. The 392 Hemi engines that came standard in those cars are still being widely used in NHRA Drag Racing...even to this day. I also love the 57-58 DeSoto Adventurer, Dodge D-500, and Plymouth Fury. Those early high performance Mopar's are essentially the first muscle cars. In particular the 1955 Chrysler 300 was the first American muscle car...even though it's technically a full size car. There were no intermediate sized cars in the mid 50's.
"Ach du lieber, mein schatz"!!! "Barely understated" elegance at its BEST! "Mr. Clean" would be embarrassed! The gorgeous color might be called "vermillion"! My "luster" just fell out of my mouth!!! Those big whitewalls & wire wheels really make this car twice as nice! "Gesundheit"!
Every time I see one of these Chrysler 57's, it makes me wonder. Did a Chevy designer sneak into Chrysler's design studio, or, did a Chrysler employee get a sneak peek at what Chevrolet had in mind? Hmmmm....!
The 57-58 Ford's and GM products were ugly compared to the 1957-58 Mopar lineup in my opinion. Ford and GM's styling was considered dated at the time compared to Mopar's. Plus 57 Chevys are a dime a dozen at car shows. I'd rather have a 57 Oldsmobile Rocket 88 J2 or a 57 Pontiac Bonneville than a 57 Chevy. What's up with the heavy breathing the whole video?

I agree! Though I do have a question...you mentioned that there were no intermediate sized cars in the 50's. What size would a 1957 Chevy be?

Orange with cream interior is a good color. Chrysler 300 is legendary. I could sleep in the trunk for a short nap. Hopefully it opens from the inside.
Stunning.
Another beauty!
What a paint job alsume
A tacho in place of the clock!! The clock has been re-mounted below.
Gauguin Red
Nice paint job, but it doesn't look like original or authentic color.
Not quite as good looking as the 57 DeSoto.

Chevy can't hold a 10 foot candle to the Chrysler, and in no way is the Chrysler anywhere as dated looking as the 57 Chevy on it's 55 body.
