      And hardly anyone remembers when Wes was named in #37 in the best guitarist of all time, don’t remember who put that out. Honestly I think he’s way underrated but 37 out of all? nah, but definitely somewhere in the top 100

Bizkit was a phenomenon, so unique that no other Band could achieve it, not like most "skilled" rappers. Tbh they are replacable thats why the music industry pushed rap for decades.

His singing ... its not terrible its not great either. But when it comes to musically with the 5 guys ... he's on the bottom of the totem pole. Now business-wise oh yeah hes great.

    John Otto is also a seriously underrated drummer, he puts work into those songs.
    Sam rivers also is an amazingly brilliant bassist.
    Not many people know how legendary dj lethal is, also stupidly underrated.
    Fred is Fred, but without Fred, limp bizkit wouldn’t exist.

      I agree- they are all dope at what they do- Wes is still a cut above the rest. I also found it awesome that while they were the hottest band at one point, Wes was still like “nah, I want to wear a bunny costume on stage” lol. But he’s incredibly talented on the guitar

      To be honest, most lyrics are tongue in cheek/sarcastic..but people not even spot this if you would shove it into their face and take it way too seriously. Also still "blaming" them for Woodstock, because media told them so and the same people have no clue how a disaster that festival was anyways or ride a Zakk Wylde bandwagon because of one interview. 😂
      Los Angeles and Show Me What You Got are a glorious example, that seems to trigger still today a lot of people if their glorious city is mentioned.

    People hate on Fred but don’t forget he was made VP of interscope records. Before the media turned on him the mainstream take was Fred is everything you need in a great frontman as the industry had changed. Voice and ability to sing wasn’t as important as it once was. Instead you needed someone who was polarizing, that was intelligent when dealing with the media and fans. Not to mention Limp Bizkit is proof that 90% of so called fans are band wagon followers. They don’t really have an opinion of their own. They simply listen to whatever the influencers of the era tell them to

      Fred has some of the best voice control of any vocalist out there. The way he can start to scream or screech then turn it off instantly isn’t an easy thing to do.

    bruh even the famous distorted riffs are perfect imo. they're literally the definition of less is more and all of them find this perfect rhythmic pocket that makes you want to move. like nookie is two notes and its such a sophisticated riff with how the rhythmic bounce shifts around when he plays the hi notes in different accents

      I saw the Summer Sanitarium Tour in 2003. LB were the true stars of the show. I have never seen a stadium bounce like I did that show… for the WHOLE SET!!! I was exhausted 🤘

    During the pandemic, I started watching lotta UA-cam and I came across a live set of Limp Bizkit at Hell Fest, and I got to say it was probably one of the most awesome shows I’ve seen. The groove that they had was incredible.

    Wes is so influential to me he's a pioneer of artistry both visual and musical, so original n riffs that r as brutal as the cleans are silky n hypnotic, id love to jam with him it's a dream but u never know ..1 day ..

    Don't forget Mike Smith, he was the replacement for Wes on there album Results May Vary (which is my favorite album), he was the best replacement for Wes and he did a damn good job, also there bass player Sam Rivers did guitar work on Results May Vary for tracks like Creamer (Radio Is Dead), Lonely World, and Down Another Day.

    Big fan of Limpbizkit since 1990s
    My interest was the music videos, Choreography and words to their songs. They got me through some tough times. Was sad when Wes left but they made it work without him.

    I’ve always agreed on this. Wes borland has always been a huge influence on me playing guitar ever since I was very young his clear tone/reverb parts always hit different especially when you play them yourself with proper equipment

    Wes Borland is one of the reasons I play guitar to this day since I was 13. I’ve loved his style and he is massively.
    If you ever heard him in other some of his other work he is massively talented.

    Saw them in 2010. Was blown away that a band could sound and look that good. Great music, great albums. I think Fred is involved in the song structure/pacing too, as well as doing the actual lyrics.

      I'm from Jacksonville. I seen limp Bizkit at the milk bar a couple times back in 96. I remember talking to wes upstairs and remember what a nice guy he was. We knew they were about to blow up

    I started playing bass when I was 12 because I saw Wes playing his 4 string. I quickly realized he was the guitarist and picked up a guitar asap.

    Anyone who plays guitar knows Wes is a badass. Are his riffs crazy difficult? No, but you probably couldn’t make it “sound” like him because he plays with so much attitude and charisma
