Wes Borland is not just a guitarist he is an artist. When he is rocking back and forth super low on the front of the stage at Woodstock 99 before they started their set with his face painted it just looked so sick.
im not the biggest limp bizkit fan but i love this bands live performance between wes borland getting in the moshpit for break stuff, to letting someone else play guitar on my way, to doing a covers section, the crowds are like how crowds used to rage 30-40 years ago its insaneee!
Yeah, their energy is undeniable. I think the criticism they got (aside from Fred being a dick more often than not in the past) is the juvenile lyrics, as they never moved past those. It's a shame because they are great musicians and they deserve more recognition.
I always see comments like this. Where people have to start a positive conment with a negative. Couldn't you just say you loved the performance instead of opening with you aren't a big fan?

Saw Linkin Park, Metallica and Fred Durst live in St Louis many moons ago. Linkin Park was over modulated and generally sounded like they needed to fire their board guy. Metallica was there going through the motions and put on a half assed show compared to the other times I had seen them live. Fred Durst hit the stage and burned that f'in place down. I have never seen anyone with as much energy and enthusiasm for a crowd as he had, and that day convinced me that he is a true performer, and is definitely in it for the crowd.
What a lot of people don't understand about L.B. is while they wrote their own songs, this band at it's core was always a celebration of music in general. This was on full display here.
Limp Bizkit got memed on back in the late 90s and early 2000s but they are genuinely talented and always had a blast of a live show. Wes is such a gem musically.

Players who can come up with that, especially more than once, have an intelligence regarding what to do, what not to do, that can't be attained by practice. I've been to tens of concerts of many great bands and I must say that Limp Bizkit's live performance is one of the best out there.
