Just saying, I was hard stuck c3 in 2s for 5 seasons. Implementing your play style has pushed me up into gc and the games feel even easier than before. Forcing the other team to play at my pace is the advice I would have known in season 5 or 6. Thank you bro.
Hey flakes, using your playstyle has gotten me to C2 in 1s, however in in higher champ 3 and lower GC1, how do you defend against opponents aireal capabilities? Flip reset/ air dribbles, double touch ECT? I did not see too many of your opponents trying stuff in the air, which is always difficult for me to defend. Thank you!
Situational my dude, a fake jump could put a lot of pressure on the guy in the air, if you’re a first man in 3s for example tho it might just be better to go up because you dont wanna have 3 guys in net, someone will have to make him play. But unfortunately there isn’t just like ‘one rule’ to deal w that, fake jump to put pressure, trying to save the ball on goalline (so either drive w the potential threat towards goalline or be on the wall driving towards net), or have someone challenge/put pressure before he gets to ur net (in 2s/3s), but again situational. Just trying not to give him a free ball / putting pressure before he goes on the wall or up in the air will also get rid of a lot of these ‘clean’ chances from your opponent. Also noticing when the opponent wants to come down is important as in those situations you can have a free challenge

I commented on a video on the series not too long ago, and I've been applying pretty much everything that I can to what he's been talking about. I was struggling in plat and now I've become D2 in ones. I'm a diamond player in twos and plat in threes. This series speaks huge volumes on how to legitimately control your car and how he teaches us it's really amazing and seriously dude thank you so much! Big fan!

Go to free play -> roll ball one way -> powerslide cut the other way! (You can keep powerslide cutting it after the first cut to practice more direction changes and perhaps even cutting it after every bounce to get the timing down) Practice powerslide cut direction changes but stop right before you hit it, so you practice fakes :) Advanced powerslide cut practice: roll ball forward (you’re behind the ball), then go to either side of the ball and powerslide cut (clean, sharp cut w powerslide) the ball opposite direction of where the ball is rolling (so behind your starting position). So its basically a 180 direction change. Basically just practice stuff ^^

But when I watched my replays I noticed that I continuously conceded goals because my timing of the direction changes were off. Have you got any advice for when to hit the enemy with the power slide cut as I can't seem to time it well
@@robbiecowles5910 i mean i could say try doing it earlier but then u might end up doing it too early, it honestly comes down to knowing every interaction is practice/experience and just trying it will make you better cuz you’ll be more familiar in situations. You could maybe try doing it a little bit earlier and instead of hitting it, threaten a big FAKE direction change, so you make it look like you’re about to hit it to the left/right but you stop right before you do it and maybe even single jump to take a potential 50, this way if he doesnt commit you also dont hit the ball away. But thats just one thing, and you can not avoid your mistakes, this could just be a ‘bandaid’ solution to your problem but in the end you need to be able to cut it at the right time and it just comes down to trying & learning & adapting :)

Hey Flakes, I’m trying to improve my ground skills. When you make those sharp cuts to make opponents miss, I know power slide is used, but are you also incorporating brake/reverse in those sharp turns? Love the series and am learning a lot!

I was playing 2s in champ mmr (casual) and i just happened to ask my tm8 what i should improve. He said go watch flakes and youll instantly see ur mistakes. He was not wrong. By playing more patiently i have increased my fakes 10 fold. And my opponent salt by a whole kranovi mountain.
Hi flakes, I love your 1s SSL series, it has helped me go from D2 to C2 in 1s. However, suddenly everyone in C2 has been playing like they're SSL and they always get free ball on kickoff and the luckiest flicks EVER. It just straight up feels rigged. I'v been truggling with this mainly because my "cam swtich" button is in a weird place because I need all my other buttons for more important things. None of the other youtubers have done anything on this topic as far as I know
Knowing when to switch just comes with experience. Generally turn it off if you need to see where your team/boost is or when you're balancing the ball on your car. Thats about it
You should really change the titles to road to ssl with ssl ground mechanics no body with no mechanics can drift turn and everything on the ground like you can I mean I get it it’s brains mostly but you gotta factor in how good your ground mechanics are and ball control as well
okay i can clearly say i would never get an opponent like the first one. my biggest problem is inconsistency and my drifts suck i work on them. what i dont understand here is why his enemys dont react like mine and challenge everything or keeping the ball instead of passing back. i get a few goals with flicks and stuff but my opponents just dont let me do things he does.
Because you probably give away the ball too soon. The opponents in champ expect you to always be trying to make a play on the ball. Point is, you're doing too much most likely. And he's shown clearly if the opponent is challenging you just single jump and take the 50. If he flips you recover faster and boom, another ball possession

Hi Flakes. I just want to say that you helped me a lot. A few days ago i was doing my 1v1 placement matches but i kept making stupid plays and tried to do stuff i couldnt do so i ended up in silver 2 lmao. After seeing how you play in ur no mechanics series, i realised i should play smart. So i ended up going from silver 2 to gold 3 in 2 hours, destroying everybody i was queued up with, scoring 7-8 goals every match while conceding 2 at most.
I’m champ 2 and can’t fillip rest or ceiling shot or air dribble it’s not needed positioning and game since you’re the most important things in this game!!

One thing you could also try is ask someone who's good at aerial plays to do some private matches
Just play the game, pick up stuff from the opponents. Try aerial yourself and see what they do, then copy.
I love when they accidentally type “I’m Sorry!” Or “My fault” before FF’ing because you know they were spamming the down button. 😂

So i ended up going from silver 2 to gold 3 in 2 hours, destroying everybody i was queued up with, scoring 7-8 goals every match while conceding 2 at most.

Bro i like ur stufd very much but u should stop using speedflips coz champ players can hit those wall shots but half of them cant speedflip
I’m champ 2 and can’t fillip rest or ceiling shot or air dribble it’s not needed positioning and game since you’re the most important things in this game!!
Imagine stream sniping and using the fact that he won't use certain mechanics to try to beat him. Thats sad on multiple levels
