I bought a CAT 306 cr and it rocks. I'm in forestry mulching and land clearing and it does a great job digging up large trees. If you can afford one that's what you should get. Plus it's easy to transport. I bought a 307.5 cat it was too heavy on my trailer, that's why i bought the 306.
Boy Cat didn't waste any time getting u a demo! Bob has a new toy 2 play with 4 a few hrs. Good 4 u guys! I gave ya the thumbs up. I didn't forget this time!
Brian, that would handle 5 or 6ft ditching bucket no problems! If you do get a new machine ensure it has a quick coupler even if it’s only a manual one!
We started planting beans Thursday it's moist but not to bad . We plan on starting corn Monday so we can get both planters running. Unfortunately I have been running the field cultivator but tomorrow I'll start running the bean planter while dad gets the corn planter ready . I believe we have 200 acres in as of 5 pm today. Dad quit early and I kept working ground to stay ahead . I'm surprised that not many people have started yet I believe everyone is behind on working ground and spreading fertilizer. That little excavator will run a mulcher just fine . I would make sure you order it with a quick coupler so you can switch buckets fast. Great video keep up the good work!
I’ve got a 308, I e had it for three almost 4 years. That thing is handy dandy! I’ve got a mulching header. I mention that because I heard Bob say it. If you’re going to get a mulcher? Get a bigger machine. There doesn’t sound like much difference between a 306 and 308 but the hydraulic flow is where it’s at. And that 306 isn’t quite big enough.
It seems Bob is happiest when he’s on a piece of equipment moving dirt. Doesn’t matter for what reason or purpose, just so some dirt is going somewhere.
FYI, in many manuals you will see it referred to as ISO(JD) and SAE(Cat). Of course there was also the Case 4 stick 'harp', which is what I learned on.
Love operating the cats during loading and unloading them and messing around a little bit with them. For what your looking to do 309 or a 312 would be great if you could find it close to your price range.
So sorry. Every time the guys get ready to get in the field Tri-state area Illinois Iowa Missouri it rains again. Delayed planting is coming unfortunately
Youloveit eskavator the good good equipment if you like other brands you ought to try them but that's been out longer than anybody you're going to enjoy the heck out of that once you get it you'll be able to do anything you want with it they're real reliable equipment you'll enjoy it I ran one Iran eskavator for over fifteen years and I like Kat better than anything else have a good one God bless all of you I think you all do good job I love watching your channel I like the videos you put out keep it up
Brian you got a lot of irons in the fire you're stressing me out. Lol!! Demoing things is pretty cool something new. Great explanation as always. Enjoy watching your videos. Keep the action coming. Seeya at the next one. Stay safe!!
I run a 309cr every year to pull trees, fuel seems to last longer with the bigger machine than a 308 and it's nice to have that little bit extra weight when it comes to the big trees. Either way nice machines
That's an awesome Machine I was looking at the smaller 304 next generation one today Brian. For the type of work I'm at doing I think a 304 next gen would be perfect for what I plan on using it for.
For you guys, I figure a little excavator should compliment your big one. It's fast and convenient. I would trade the backhoe in for that little excavator. If you get one, don't go too big. You already have a bigger one. You may like some laser depth control for doing drain tile. Wouldda, shouldda, couldda, time to head to the fields.
Great machine. Only advice I can give you is 1 you are sitting too close to that ditch to dig it out. You need to be 2 o 3 feet further away. And get a mud bucket. 2 Do a crash course on excavator operation by binge watching letsdig18. I learnt a lot from him just by watching what he was doing and his hand movements.
i would highly recommend you to teach yourself to run the excavator pattern.. once you teach yourself that you will be much more efficient and smoother

We have a lot of caterpillars and John Deere's and hitachi's but you cannot go wrong with the cat I think out of all of them that are support and if you have a question you can actually get an answer the other ones you have a lot of problems trying to get support and answers to any problem and with the dual pumps you got to look at a 309 little bit bigger a lot more stick you can really put in some different places a lot easier and still move it on a fifth wheel have a good night and enjoy your time with that mini excavator one more thing the tablet is the same in all the excavators at caterpillar has in the next gen series have a good night 🇺🇸🚜
try a takeuchi. great machines. lots of cabe space, very smooth operating. used to operate tb175 and a tb290. now a case cx90d. i want my old one back. even after 2 years i can't get the feeling of it.
So was i right ? In my mind they are the best machine on the market just don't look at the price . The 308 is a beast your dad would be impressed with it.
u need to get a yahamar or a volvo excavators go check out let's dig 18 on UA-cam he's has both and also look.into AMI buckets and thumbs there very nice

Do these come with any emissions equipment? I’m looking at picking one up from a government auction with 475hrs.
@@keelandavis no, that's another perk
@@RickBiehl-x9j oh nice! That’s a huge bonus.
Oh, dang yellow button. Enjoyed. Dig on.

Ya better buy it! Bob is a natural in that Cat! Great addition to the fleet!
We just bought a brand new 308 it is awesome perfect machine
Hey Brian sorry to hear about your mother. I read the obituary in today's paper !!
Thanks
Brian, that would handle 5 or 6ft ditching bucket no problems! If you do get a new machine ensure it has a quick coupler even if it’s only a manual one!
Quick coupler on a excavator is the best invention made especially if doing work on. New house switching jobs
Thanks BFF
Just ordered a new 306 this week.
Kyle is a good salesman. Really good to help.
I’ve never tried the stick steer but after seeing this I want it!

That looks like fun running that mini backhoe.
Definitely Recommend the 308 I really like the way work on a farm for me anyway. It is a very versatile machine.
I saw it had a language setting does it have a"BOB" setting on it
Nice machine.
Your intro is definitely updated. Dad on his dozer.
I hear you I always run cat controls looked like a fool on Deere controls

Playing with new toys is the best. Thanks for watching
No problem at all

On the cat display it was labeled Excavator and Backhoe
@@BriansFarmingVideos Hmm, then I would have to resort to pushing sticks around till I figured out which pattern I needed :)

313f is a sweet machine or a 312el and a rototilt 👍🏻
Enjoyed the video 👍
here in NE Nebraska we haven't had an inch all winter and spring.

Hands down the best mini you can get cominh from a die hard deer guy. I run the yellow deer stuff not the green
Taking of demo. Do you still have the old gator
Congrats on the rye…always tricky when you try new things

Guy rented one today putting in my tile. Put in 1800 feet with it.
Good video.
Brian your 360 views are so much better than mine great job editing 🙂
Ouch need to slow down the controls for you dad. My understanding is 309 is a 308 with more hydraulic flow via extra pump.

What podcast was that, talking about Seals and Super Hornets? :)
Cleared Hot
@@BriansFarmingVideos Thanks! I highly recommend the fieldcraft survival podcast, if you're not already on there ;)
Where's the BREW button at?
why are you not use a ditch bucket
Don’t have one for this demo machine
Deere controls = inverted
You can bury that waterline with the tile plow!500’ roll of pex,
Very good video 👍 👍 👍
The 308 would be good. Are company has both 306 and 308.
If you buy the cat, get the counter weight. Specially if you get a bigger bucket.
Sorry Arizona here. Imagine where water is the problem
Switch the pin on the top of the knuckle. It will be a lot more enjoyable to run.
Awesome
Mornin'! :)
Nice machine👍👍👍👍👍👍
The kubotas are nice , dont know if you have a dealer close but worth a demo.

Miss Brown. Is there going to be a Brown's excavation company coming.
Does no one have rotortilt in the US?
Many do I do not
Dig it!
Brian have you got buy your own digger to run one? Like the combine. ?
Possibly lol
I think you would want a ditching bucket.
I do but this is a demo and this is what it came with

Wouldn’t it be easier to straddle the ditch and dig out right down the middle and work backwards while putting mud on bank?
It’s a twist know to your right
Love a good demo
So was i right ? In my mind they are the best machine on the market just don't look at the price . The 308 is a beast your dad would be impressed with it.
Unplug that backup alarm haha
Why don’t you drill a well for your water??
Bad ground water
Oh that sucks
Yeah you have to be able to get the RPMs higher your gonna have a hard time digging at ghat speed
Sorry to hear about your mom :(
A good operator wouldn't bang them pins when he pulls up .just saying. Practice make perfection 🥰 send it.
If you talking about dad he was trying to flick the mud out of the ditch. If your talking about me I am not an operator I’m a monkey pushing buttons
"I say it must have" LOL
you could put it at your left shoulder to get better views out the front
Brian, checkout the SANY excavators. They are quite a bit more affordable.
Not much price difference
“There it is”………………………………….
“Yup”
Good to see Brian go "Full Bunny" as Meredith says.
Are you going to try a JCB
