Good start to the weekend... built your first sandcastle... once you do the Mothers day brekkie and flowers, shoes & handbags, you'll have permission to buy one... (but get it in writing)
Tim you sure do get the coolest equipment. Think of everything you can do with the mini excavator! Hope you find what you want! You did terrific! 🤗 ~Becka
Just a thought but you could also look at small tractor based loader/backhoe. Many small tractors also have removable mower decks. They can run flail mowers, slashers, tillers etc
Your a natural, Tim, that and all the accessories will fit nicely in the shed, im thinking a good project will be make a decent track down to the river 😀
Yup, it was a very expensive toy! Handy for big jobs. The price tag is sending sticker shock 😲 to me. Love the idea 💡. Plus, you definitely got the space to use that play toy. Cool 😎!
I've seen other content creators with pieces of property like yours go for a small tractor with various attachments including a backhoe, or a small skid-steer as you can get attachments like a post hole digger. With managing trees, fencing, doing dirt work for projects/homesite prework, moving stuff, etc, you'll get use out of whatever you end up with. Worth checking out all the versions of 'fun' land management equipment!
Tim it is all a learning experience to use a excavator when you do buy one but once you learn it will be so much fun , If you do buy a excavator do your self a favor make sure you get a thumb for the bucket this is one thing that will make things easier for picking stick or other product..
Congratulations on the new property/adventure! Looking forward to all of your flora and fauna encounters. I haven't had the opportunity to test drive an excavator, so watching your first experience was quite fun and educational. I hope that someday I can conjure up a reason to have to buy some yellow, heavier-than-consumer equipment.
Go big, or go home. You are very lucky to be able to play with all of these toys. Great fun. A bit disappointed in that little hole you dug. Should have found out how deep that sand pit is. Choose quality over low price. You won’t be sorry. Thanks for posting.
We bought our Kubota U17-3 from a landscaper who was upgrading to a bigger Kubota, we’ve never had a problem with our kubota, I wish we had’ ve bought a small tractor with bucket, backhoe and deck but it’s a totally different machine and I understand why hubs needed the digger (for his bike track), I still want a tractor but I’ll need to win lotto for that. 😂
I enjoyed this video Tim. It was awesome to see the mini excavator and also a skid steer/bobcat. When's the visit to the big site? Will there be a vlog for that one as well?
MEOW! Tim, I'll come & help with my Yellow Dump Truck, might need to do a few more loads than the CAT one at 15:30 as mine is only a Tamiya 1:20 Mammoth Dump 😂
It's not that bad, Tim. It looks easy to watch experienced users, like most things. I'll bite, though. What on earth are you planning to use one for⠀⠀ ? Also, do you have any idea when you hear about that water container? I think you said today, yes? I've also seen that mulcher used by Idigt4. He calls it munchie and it's well impressive in action. Check him out mate.
@@turfandtools Check the link I mentioned. I reckon you'll properly love one of those. He has two, a mini one for shrubs and bushes and a real beast for unwanted trees. I can see you clearing some of that dead wood at the back of that new place. Providing its not rained in a while.
Tim you should at least consider the chinese ones as price is considerably lower. UHI are one to consider they have improved a lot over the years and you get a lot of buckets with them.
It was great to get you in the pit and into your first excavator - you never forget your first. ^CG

Oh my gosh how exciting. I live in South Carolina and my husband works for Blanchard Machinery which is a huge Caterpillar dealership. So cool.

Thumb is a must 👌
This looks like so much fun! It was fun just watching you have your first go at the BIG toys. Love your videos.😊❤

In a short while, you'll be operating like a pro

I am a 75 year old lady, enjoying this. Don't figure . 😂
Same same I'm also 75 female. This was definitely not something I thought I'd enjoy watching.

I see a new toy in your future. You could do some serious work with that machine! Caterpillar makes good equipment, too.
How far can you dig from the stationary cab? And how much imprint is made on the ground you drive over? Thank you
I’ve just put a deposit down on one yesterday so I’ll let you know !
@@turfandtools thank you!
Brave of you to say to a dealer " i dont know anything about what i plan to buy" 😂

He who dies with the most toys, wins 😂
If you do make sure it has a thumb

I can tell from the guy teaching you, he has never operated an excavator
