Maybe that feeling you had when you were like 12 watching the local news with your parents waiting to go to the bus stop. It's comfortable because you dont have to leave yet, but you have butterflies because you know you will have to leave soon.
@@Ben59910 The problem isn't so much with the synthesized instrument. Whether multi-sampled or physically modelled they are very convincing. The problem is that keyboard players aren't percussion players. Much the same goes for digital drums on keyboards and workstations.
@@paulanderson79 they aren't that convincing, they sound a bit like computer's lol. They're about as convincing as an electronic piano compared to a decent upright piano. But yeah, I agree with the second point you made.
@@Ben59910 As a piano and keyboard player I know only too well the fragilities of trying to 'play' other instruments. As for digital pianos, they're not all one and the same. Personally I find them very acceptable. Most people will not hear the difference, though the price factor does come into play. As usual !
Oh.... Two of my favourites Vibraphone and Autumn Leaves...who is playing this version of A/Leaves.. very cool and melodic.. lovely version.. Harvey Perkoff
I've always liked vibes in small jazz ensembles. Back in the sixties they could be heard more frequently than we hear them today. The George Shearing group used them to good effect, especially in unison with the piano.
Come on matey more of this!! Such a fantastic sound you make this instrument speak, come to the uk and do some gigs. What a talent you have, your playing cheers the darkest of British winter night's.😊
Love this man! The solo sections sound absolutely wonderful! You always seem to know where you are in the chart, develop ideas throughout the solo, and bring it back in the end. All while maintaining great tone. Solid job man!
@kevinsticht RE: "You always seem to know where you are in the chart" Yes. A very common way to accomplish that is to always keep the original melody in your mind. Just as Isaac so beautifully does in the video, most of the early improvisors in jazz did it that way, often using the original melody for improv idea starting points and interspersing snippets during their solos too - sometimes. Doing that helps the non-musician listener stay more involved in it. Isaac does a great job of this. Generally speaking it is the expectation that all well prepared jazz musicians know where they are in the form at all times. "Getting lost in the form happens when we are learning but gradually stops happening as we gain more experience and practicing the proper things repeatedly. You can tell that Isaac has done the work.
Coolest, relaxing jazz, love that awesome distinguished drummer and that deep basey bass performer. It accents that cool vibraphonist. Cool performance. God best you fine men.
Lovely. I came here because just last week I heard an 80 year old lady play this on vibes in Cassies Supper Club in Cody Wyoming and I thought it was very special. Also love to hear this classic on upright Bass.
So beautiful and Inspired. Pity not seeing your face...to meet the genius Isaac I downloaded from 1.20 to 1.35 as a ringtone for my smartphone. A Pure magic and i have the chance to hear this part of music everyday when I get a phone call. Thanks for your great creative work
I salut you good sir, you got me jamming out real hard. This is just so good it gets me hyped🤣 definitely saved to listen to more. Keep on jamming bro!❤️💯
I enjoy listening to jazz, so I anticipate listening to the sound of a vibraphone! I just love this instrument! You need to listen to Roy Ayers! He can make the vibes sing!!
This makes me feel like I'm watching the local news station at 5am in the 90's
It's a feeling of comfort, yet also a feeling of starting a new work day and productivity.

Vibraphone is the most underrated instrument. It has such a relaxing beautiful sound.
Probably because of all the crappy keyboard copies that never sound real

And how dare you raise your voice at me!
Everyone’s talking about 3:00, but at 3:18 he does fly me to the moon. Amazing video.

You can’t be saying that Antonio Carlos Jobim and Kenny G. are on the same level?
The ability to do jazz licks with a mallet has never stopped surprising me.

You man your really good, in fact i'm using your solo as my transcription assignment for jazz band. I thought your solo was amazing.
you cheater, it is easier to transcribe the notes because you can see every single one of them, haha
This reminds me of the time I transcribed a guitar solo by looking at the frets
Could you send me your transcription of this beautiful improvisation please ?
I know I am a bit lazy but if you did it, it would be nice 😂👌👍
Bro can i get the score?
