  • This video is about market gardening in Southeast Alaska, including further managing slow growth in a third succession of salanova lettuce, and a fourth succession of lettuce and second succession of green onions germinates and is moved down to the greenhouse tables; noting recently transplanted basil leaf discoloration in the greenhouse; removing Agribon row cover from carrots that are likely established enough to withstand any pecking by resident robins, and hand-weeding a small section of carrots before rain starts; later noticing potato sprouts emerging after an experimental planting in the fall; harvesting mustard greens for a second time and noting that some baby greens in the garden are ready to harvest, and kale, collards, and the first succession of salanova lettuce are nearly ready to harvest for the first time; and new row cover clips hold up in wind during a continuation of cold, rainy weather.
